Purchasing Gem Cards through Best Buy is great as there is no shipping costs, and the product usually arrives the next day. I wholeheartedly recommend purchasing GW2 Gem Cards through Best Buy.

A few years ago my nieces moved several hours away. When we discovered that we all played Guild Wars 2, it gave us a way to do something together whenever we wanted. Having these Gem cards such easy access always gives me a way to do something nice for them that I know they'll appreciate.

Theirs not too much to say about this. Its a gift card or money card like any other that you might use on a game. Theirs nothing really all that special about it. The ones if seen come in $25 for 2000 gems and $15 for 1200 gems. When you get home you just scratch off the back to reveal the number and then input the code into your GW2 account

Great gift or purchase for anyone who plays Guild Wars 2. The dollar to gem ratio is the same as in game purchase, so you're not saving money. However, one can use it as a great present for someone special.

Here's my point: you can buy crafting/experience/other boosters for your character; you can temporarily advance faster with those. You can buy cosmetic items (which I have never done) like clothes or pets, none of which affect gameplay.or, you can buy extra bag slots, extra character slots, and treasure chest keys. It's also possible to unlock the full version of the game, which gives you some one-time bonuses, special items, and access to a summon skill that will soon be overshadowed. Finally, you can buy gold by exchanging your real-world investment for in-game currency. This literally allows you to buy the best equipment in the game. Now, I appreciate te idea that a free-to-play game needs a means of making money from players who have already made the initial investment; I would ask youself what is really incentive enough;I'm glad the company resisted directly selling special equipment. Or am I? I mean, there's something that undermines gameplay when anything special about your character is purchased; the most disposable income wins. However, the alternative left me hungry for some incentive to having purchased the card. That hunger was partly satisfied. I unlocked the special edition, bought an extra character slot, an extra bag slot, and that was about it ( I got one of these for the holidays as well, in case you're noting that the price doesn't match). Was it worth it? I've never usd the extra character slot--yet. Sure, I made a bunch of characters just to say I did, but I really only play 3 characters. The bag slot is great. Bags are expensive, in-game. This slot was the perfect solution for me. The extras are ok for the game, but you have to care how your character looks, how fast you level, or level your crafting. I once bought a key to one of the 30 black lion chests I had, but really, you're playing the lottery with that. In conclusion, unless you can specifically identify what is of value to you in the game that you cannot achieve by other means, you will be disappointed that you did this. Keep in mind you are getting digital items in exchange for real money. Value, in that case, is in the eye of the beholder. Recommended with reservations.

The Gem cards simply offer players an opportunity to enhance their look or characters, without making it a pay to win situation.

Not too much to be said about this. It's digital in-game currency for Guild Wars 2. The best part about having a physical card you can pick up in store is that you can give it out as a gift, as I do, and let the recipient redeem it without having to pay in-game.

Living in Wa state, it is actually less expensive to buy GW2 Gems by purchasing a gem card than to purchase directly from the game store where it is required to pay +8% taxes. The Best Buy reward program gives an additional bonus that would not be earned when purchasing via the in game store. Can't beat that!

Easy to use. Bought it at Best buy, came home and entered in the black lion company tab. Did not have to use my personal credit card information to get the gems I needed.

I was looking for a present for a guild wars 2 player. Not many places had this gift card. I looked at amazon but they were overcharging for this same card.

This card is a great way to get gems in Guild Wars 2 if you don't want to pay within the game or if someone wants to give it to you as a gift. This is also the better option if you have reward coupons from BestBuy that you're not going to use for anything else.

This card is for in game money for the Guild Wars 2 game which has a significant family history for us. My sons have been playing for years and have enjoyed networking with other friends around the world. My children are in their mid twenties and have friends scattered about the US and this is one way they keep in touch. One son swears it is better than other social sites because there is no "tracking".

If you want gems for Guild Wars 2, then you already know what you are getting. Nothing much to say. Deals/sales are rare/unheard of, so the only real question is how much cash are you willing to spend on the Gems. you pick the amount, and get the card that matches it.

I purchased this card for my son as a little "surprise" gift, and he was very pleased! Instant download of the gems to enhance his online play! Overall, I was very pleased to have this type of option available...reasonable price and something that slips easily into a greeting card!
