I have had three neatos this the first time I have had issues with them / my first one is three yrs old - but his one is < 9 months and broken already / one side that holds the brush broke - will see what their support has to say about it.

After years of owning roombas (6 of them!!) I switched over to Neato.. they work much smarter by literally mapping the room magically and vacuuming in a nest looking way.. sorta like they cut lawns at a golf course! Not zig zag but rather neat back and forth.. the amount of dirt it captured seems 2x or more because of the powerful fan motor.. very very happy.

When I first started researching robotic vacuums I was very skeptical of their performance. The reviews were mixed with people that loved them and people that hated them. My concern is that I have two golden retrievers and a cat that all shed up a storm daily. I also have dark hardwood floors, an eight person dining table, and two large shag rugs in the approx. 1000 square foot first level of my home. I bit the bullet and purchased this on sale at Best Buy. Let's just say I was amazed how this thing works. It does not miss a spot. It surprisingly works great through all the table legs and it might get confused once in awhile but it will find its way out and pick up where it left off. I thought I could see everything since I have dark hardwood floors but the amount of stuff this thing picks up daily is incredible. The bin on the Neato is large enough for about two days of dog hair but I empty it daily. The brush is also all rubber so no worries about getting all tangled with hair. The vacuum is strong and it leaves my floors dirt and hair free. It does take about 40 minutes to do my entire first floor and it still has a little battery left over after that. I used to have to vacuum every day as soon as I got home and now I get home and my floors are already clean from the program I have it on. I set it to clean an hour before I get home from work and the weekends I run it manually. The vacuum has only got stuck once and that was from a run I had in a rug and it got tangled in the wheel of the Neato. It rolls over anything and will always find a way out of a jam. I love this thing!!!!!!!

Overall, I am very pleased with the Neato Botvac D75. It does an excellent job picking up dirt, dust, hair, and grass from both my carpeted and hard floors. The Neato is able to map out each room and efficiently clean all the floors without leaving much behind. Setup is easy, simply place the charging base up against a wall and you're all set. The Neato will do the rest. I even like that it has straight vacuum lines in the carpet, unlike the iRobot vacuums that with start out cleaning in a circular pattern and then randomly go straight until they bump into something. The Neato actually maps things out and follows its own paths. I thought the Neato was going to be smart enough to avoid going under my couch but it wasn't. The front half of the Neato fits but not the rest so it will keep going back and forth in the same spots without moving, getting slightly stuck and then freeing itself. It was annoying as I had to manually instruct the Neato to go home but then it lost the placement of its charging base. I ended up putting the magnetic strips under my couch and that solved the problem. Now the Neato is able to clean my entire house while I'm gone without me coming home to a dead or stuck vacuum. It can get a little loud when cleaning, especially the hard floors but that's more of an acoustical anomaly as the sound is just bouncing everywhere. For the price, I don't think this robotic vacuum can be beat. It comes with about 8 ft of magnetic strip, I suggest buying more. It also comes with two filters and enough other accessories that you won't have to buy them right away. You don't have to use the magnetic strip to mark off areas where there are drops (it's smart enough to avoid them) but it helps marking areas where the vacuum can get stuck. I like coming home to clean floors and have the Neato setup to vacuum three times a week automatically. It's a luxury but one that saves me time so I don't have to deal with cleaning the floors.

Over the years I've had several of the iRobot models and found them generally to be good vacuums, but never really positive that they'd vacuumed everything because of their bump-and-turn method of navigation. Upon letting this little guy loose for the first time I was actually enjoying watching it vacuum the room as it traced the perimeter and then systematically navigated the space between in a predictable fashion. When the little bot reached my dining room I half expected it to get lost in the tangle of legs around the table and six chairs, but it surprised me by methodically navigating around each of the four large legs of the table in turn, and wiggling around the chair legs with ease. What the bot is cleaning: around 1000sf of tile/wood, and 250sf of carpet, and a couple of area rugs. No kids or pets. Runs MWF. Compared to the iRobot models I've had, I feel like this picks up remarkably more than the round guys, and it does it in a pattern I can both see and understand. I don't have the feeling it missed a spot somewhere like I used to. Sound level is comparable. The one negative trait I've experienced is that the filter that came with the bot is impressively difficult to clean completely. I purchased one of the upgraded filters that looks more like an HVAC filter and it, too, suffers from the same woe. I hope that at some point a washable filter is available as this would also create less garbage in the long-run. However, I am not disappointed in the performance of the bot, but on the contrary shocked at how much it picks up on so regular a schedule. A word of warning (that should go without saying, really): the bot will find cables if it can get to them, and like a rabbit, will chew them to shreds if left unattended.

It took her a couple of times to figure out how to work around some obstacles in our house but all in all she does a great job. I'm not sure how deep of a cleaning she would do if we had thick carpets but since our floors are all hard surface with just a couple of area rugs it works perfectly for us.

The Neato vacuum was simple to set up and program. It cleans very effectively and thoroughly. My only possibly negative observation is that it seems to advise that the dust pan needs to be cleaned after only a small amount has been collected.

Great product. We own dogs, and they shed a lot, we had to buy a robot because we couldn't keep up with how much cwe had to sweep a day. Neato has worked great for my husband and I, we can schedule it in advanced or when we are ready to use it. It learns you house, the corners so it knows where to go and what spces are missing, if the battery runs out it walks back to its base on its own and then when is fully charged it goes back to where it left off. Scary but amazing. We did have to buy something to put under our sofas legs because our sofa was too low and it couldnt go under, but there was a cheap solution to it. Neato has been great with dirt, pet hair, pet food, and anything that is. Ot supposed to be laying around. Would definitely recommend!

Love this cute Botvac D75. Has strong vacuum power and my carpet is never this clean!

I bought this as I work all of the time and I was sick of coming home and vacuuming constantly as I have a cat and she sheds all over... I thought I'd give a robotic vacuum and try and this one doesn't disappoint, it rarely if ever gets stuck and my house is always vacuumed. HIGHLY recommended.

It does a great job. Being disabled helps me around the house. I do wish I got the one with Wi-Fi for the phone remote. Now I have a clean Apt., 600 sq. ft. It was hard for me to get around. Neato does it now. The D shape gets in the corners, it does get hung up once in awhile but it gets itself loose. Now the dirt bin only needs to clean every other day. It run it every day.

The Neato D75 has not disappointed! In fact, at ~$300 less than a comparable Roomba, it gets the job done extremely well. So quiet you can have conversation as it vacuums around you. Rarely gets stuck around odd furniture. Cleans in a methodical pattern, gets most, if not all the 1st floor of our 2200sq ft house done on single charge. So far my wife is extremely happy. So am I as I often was cleaning as well. Now I need to design one that climbs steps and moves furniture and obstacles. Only reason it gets less than 5 stars is because of the required dirt chamber changes every 2-3 rooms, after cleaning up after our multiple cats, dog, daughter and us. We have horses, so I imagine we trek dirt in as hard as we try not to. It has done an amazing job easing the chore of keeping the floors cleaner.

I used vacuum every day The vacuum has only got stuck once the first day. 600 square foot first level of my Apt. It rolls over anything and will always find a way out of a jam. I love this thing. Easy to use and does an excellent job.Wish it had Wi-Fi though, only a 4 , 5 if it had Wi-Fi. vacuum is simple to set up and program.

This is an amazing addition to our family. We have been using it almost daily since we purchased it nearly a month ago. Our house hasn't felt and been cleaner since we moved in almost two years ago. Our kids love picking up so that neato can work!

This is a pretty powerful and intelligent robot that works well and is easy to use. For the price it really can't be beaten. However, because of its size it can get trapped and damage wooden furniture when it tries to get out of areas.

I'm comparing this to the Roomba 880 and i have to say this is excellent! The cleaning pattern is one that makes sense, does the edges first then lateral lines to make sure it hits everything. It doesn't clean as well in a single setting as the roomba since it will only pass over one area once, but if you're scheduling it daily or even a few times a week then this will end up just as clean as the roomba. It also doesn't require those annoying lighthouses to navigate throughout your house because its laser guided navigation is lightyears ahead of the roomba!

I love my little "Dusty," as I have named it. It has learned its way around my house and gets more efficient every time it cleans. For my house, it has to come back to the charging station twice before the job is done, so it takes quite a while, but I am not complaining about that. It is vacuuming and I am not. I have found that it is best if I am home most of the time it is running because it gets caught on different things almost every time. I listen for its motor and when I do not hear it, I go looking. It lets out a beep that I can follow. I have found it under a bed up on top of something a couple times...but my regular vacuum cleaner won't even fit under this bed so it is getting cleaned under for the first time since the bed was purchased. The company sent a short strip of material to put around things to keep Dusty from climbing up and getting caught, but it is pretty short and I have not had any luck finding this material in a local store. The dust collector filled up three times the first time Dusty cleaned, but now it isn't filled up even once each time which tells me Dusty is getting the job done.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She loves it! We have a cat and golden retriever in the house, and this pics up everthing.

I like that it does a good job cleaning up pet hair. A timesaver for me. Hard to believe how much it picks up!

After reviewing some of the rob vacuums I finally decided to go with this vacuum. The vacuum is very nice.
