What a great product at a great price. Bought these for all of my kids rooms and creates a home group so we can cast the same songs throughout the house. Also a nice feature is being able to broadcast messages to the various Google speakers. As for the sound, it doesn't have amazing bass, but it's still very good sound for the size of the speaker. Highly recommend

I'm happy with the 2nd generation Nest Mini since it now has several key improvements that really make it stand out from the previous model, and have made it a tool a use all the time now as opposed to rarely as with the old model. The Bluetooth is practically perfect, with the old model it would constantly drop out and glitch, but the Nest has no problems keeping up with my phone. There's noticeably better sound, specifically the bass is much more substantial, it won't impress bass heads but I think considering it's physical sizer it is adequate. It picks up on my commands much quicker then the old model. Overall I don't think the old model was bad, it worked fine (minus the crappy bluetooth) but since I absolutely needed good bluetooth it just wasn't cutting it. Happy to say they fixed that issue on the new model.

Very happy with my google nest mini I used to have a google home before this but I took a chance in upgrading because some people claimed this was a superior model. They were not incorrect automatically you notice they have different color led lights haha more attractive to the eye. Music sounds clearer not a huge bass presence but this isn't the speaker for that, easy to connect to things like Wi-Fi lights and the home app is very well built and easy to maneuver easily one of googles best inventions and cant imagine living without it nothing like randomly walking and then telling google to play your favorite song to dance to and it happens. I got mine on sell for 29.99 which I feel is more than fair for this quality of speaker.

I recently started converting my house into a smart home. I was indecisive about going the Google or Alexa route and ultimately decided on Google. Anyway, I have various speakers and wanted a smaller one that I could potentially move around the house as needed. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this speaker because it is so small but it has been great. It now permanently resides in our bathroom. It is perfect for the small room and is more than loud enough for it. The sound is great. Doesn’t offer much in terms of bass but overall it is great. I love that I can ask it what time it is when I know I’ve taken a long shower and need to know the time haha

product works as advertised. Easy to set up and has pretty decent sound for a small speaker. Not a lot of bass but still sounds decent.

Great speaker. Amazing sound for the size. It’s easily able to hang on a wall as well and multiple colors make it match your style. The microphone works great and picks up my voice perfect, and the speaker is behind a picture. The only thing this is missing is a heavier bass, but I personally don’t listen to much music on this, and when I do I don’t listen to it very loud. A over all great product and one I am happy with purchasing.

This speaker works well. Bass is low but not nonexistent. Voice (podcasts, news, google herself) sound clear. Lofi jams playing through it, and others it is grouped with, is so neat. Cheap way of getting whole home audio.

The Nest Mini adds back the bass! The original Google Home Mini was great, but bass frequencies were either nonexistent or melded with the midrange in a way that made streaming music unpleasant. Which was a shame, because compared to other voice assistants, the Google or Nest Home is, in my view, the best of the crop. Voice recognition is robust and the built-in microphones can detect sound sources from a considerable distance. Better yet, the Home isn't confused by different pitches or timbres like other competing products. Everyone in my house can wake and use the Google Home with no difficulty. No patient, plodding, deliberate enunciation needed. The Home series now offers the full suite of matching services that made the OG Google Home feel hamstrung back when it first launched. Users quickly innovated some clever workarounds with ITTT software, but that's no longer needed (though the software is fun, especially if you want to make the Home respond with odd or naughty phrases to commands). The biggest drawback with the 1st gen was the fact that you either got too much bass, or none at all. The main Home model was simply too punchy, and was impossible to use if you lived in an apartment or townhome (your neighbors were going to hear it, without doubt). The Mini solved the excessive bass problem by effectively getting rid of bass altogether. This new Home Mini truly gives you the best of both worlds - this is apartment friendly, but lower end frequencies are now present and accounted for. In terms of design, this unit is practically identical to its predecessor, though it's now designed for possible wall mounting. If you liked the look and design of the OG Mini, you'll like this one. Some users may not like the fact that volume controls are accessible by tapping the sides, but the sensitive areas respond well to touch. People insistent on physical buttons might be let down, though. The best aspect of the Home series, though, is that you don't catch it eavesdropping at random moments. The other big voice assistant device has an alarming habit of activating at random, even when noone is speaking. Normal speech can produce sounds similar to a wake word, but when you see a blue ring just start cycling for no reason, only to disappear a moment later, you wonder whether or not you're being actively recorded. Or, whether or not you've been hacked. The Nest Mini, like the Home Mini, never does this, so users can feel more confident both that they have greater software security for their devices and that potentially fewer of their conversations are being recorded. In other words, the Home Mini certainly seems to be the more secure and reliable product in this category.

I have several google minis 1.0 and a Bose system with the assistant built in. The Bose is hands down the best, but it’s darn expensive! I put the mini 2.0 in my “man cave” and use it mostly for winding down in the evenings listening to jazz and painting. It sounds a lot better than the first release, with slightly cleaner mids. Supposed to have richer bass, but it’s not really something that thumps. It does have the ability to be wall mounted, but mine is just sitting on a shelf. Overall, it’s an improvement, but I’m not sure if it’s a “2.0” improvement instead of a “1.5” improvement. However, if you need a few more minis or don’t have a mini yet, you might as well get this version in case there are little differences not immediately recognizable.
