Device was super easy to set up and get configured! And made a huge difference! I live in an old apartment built back in the 70s and it has concrete walls so Wi-Fi coverage was not good towards the back of my apartment since my Wi-Fi router us towards the front. This extender made my coverage so much better and now I have consistent coverage all over the house and Internet doesn’t drop! Highly recommend!

WiFi wasn’t reaching upstairs very well, so I bought this mesh extender. Now I get the same speed upstairs as downstairs. Installation was easy, but I did have to experiment with putting it in 3 different plug locations before I found one that worked best. Good experience for much less $ than buying a completely new mesh system to replace my standalone router.

Not a big tech guy here. I just needed a stronger signal from my router that was located in the basement (long story). This gadget did the trick. It was very easy to get going. The app worked as it should. No hang ups. I’m actually contemplating getting another one so I can hardwire to it. Something I picked up on YouTube.

The extender worked as expected! Setup was easy. I like the WiFi mesh system it will jump between the router and the extender without any hesitations. The netgear app worked well with set up. Btw I also have this paired with a nighthawk AC1900.

Bought this yesterday since I needed to move my older Orbi CBR40 router to a room in the corner of my house, and my connectivity at the other end of ~3,000 sq. ft. was not as fast as it was previously. As soon as I installed the extender (which was a breeze) in the stairwell directly in the middle of the house, my download speeds jumped from 114 mbps to 184 mbps in the basement and off of the deck on the other end of the house. Also, after the setup, you still only have to connect to your original wireless network (i.e. it doesn't spin up another network that you would need to switch back and forth from) which makes it seamless. Doesn't take up much room either and still works 'upside down' since all of my outlets are flipped due to code in my area. All in all I am completely satisfied!

Our older home has tons of brick and masonry walls that seem perfectly designed for blocking wifi signals. We had tried various solutions over the years including the use of wifi extenders, but with limited success. We then solved the problem with a Netgear Orbi mesh system, which works great throughout the house. But, there was still a dead area outdoors... We wanted to have reliable wifi signal to an outdoor security camera, and the brick walls just weren't permitting that. After some research, and trusting Netgear products, we got this AX1600 extender. In short, it works perfectly and extended the wifi signal where it needed to go. Instead of having to buy another mesh system satellite ($$$) that takes up a fair amount of room, this one is a straight plug-into-an-outlet type that saves space, money, and headaches. Simple to set up, practically plug and play. One great thing about the AX1600 is that it uses the same router name and password as the router, so you don't need to hassle with those stuped 'NAME_EXT' kinds of things I've seen (and had to use) before. Instead, it just adds another spot to the mesh system. Pretty cool, especially since it works so well. This extender also has easily visible feedback on the front to tell you how well it's receiving signal. Ours is green all the time, indicating strong signal, so that's great, and the outside device is reliably connected these days. We're very happy with this extender, and are kind of amazed at how well it solved the problem!

I recently switched from cable internet to fiber-optic. I needed to boost the WiFi signal from the modem/router to the upstairs portion of my home. I researched a variety of Mesh Extenders and found the NETGEAR AX1600 WiFi 6 Mesh Extender to be rated the best of the best. So, I bought it. It has exceeded my expectations from the ease of setting it up and marrying it to my new internet modem/router to the exceptional signal strength it creates to the upstairs portion of my home wheee before hand I had little to no signal at all. I highly recommend to anyone who needs a WiFi extender to purchase this NETGEAR AX1600. It will pay for itself in just a few months and pay dividends afterwards by not having to pay a monthly rental fee to your Internet provider in perpetuity.

It's a bit pricey, but seems this is what you pay for this level of name-brand tech these days. Super simple set up with Nighthawk app, seamless integration with ATT fiber router and app. I am not particularly IT savvy, so that's all a relief. Powerful signal boost where desired, and also in some unexpected places.

No complaints, easy to set up. I have a wifi 6 router and use 2 of these as an access point. Covers all three floors of my large house with no issues. I clock almost 700mbps on my wifi speed test everywhere in my home. I do have a gigabit internet connection but i couldnt be happier

I purchased the Netgear EAX12 AX1600 primarily to provide a wired connection for my PC. With limited options for a wired connection from my original WiFi router, this extender proved to be a reliable solution. The setup was straightforward, and the wired Ethernet port offers a stable and fast connection. While the 1Gbps wired output didn't significantly impact my internet speed, it certainly provides a reliable connection for my PC. Overall, the AX1600 is a great choice for those seeking to extend their WiFi range and provide a wired connection.

I bought a $40 netgear extender and it really didnt make my upstairs TVs and consoles have a faster or stronger signal. I would say slightly to negligible. I bought this one and it increased or signal strength and speeds drastically. Intended on running an ethernet up to this unit but honestly it works good enough and to me the possible gains are not worth the work

Have two extenders this being one of them. It was a little kore difficult to set up two in the same house but i was able to figure it out so im sure others will he able to too. Does exactly what i need faster service for my gaming systems in different parts of my house with is 2 stories and a basement. Probably will upgrade to mesh networks down the line once i finish badement remidel but well see how service works when that happens. Netgear is been my good to and continues to work for me and my households needs

I purchased this item with some skepticism. In the end, this Netgear WiFi 6 Mesh Wall Plug Range Extender is by far the best range extender I have purchased over the past 15 years. I needed to call their Tech support for some setup assistance, and they were absolutely wonderful. Their support was quick, knowledgeable, and by far better then some other companies I have used in the past. My house is over 100 years old and has chicken wire in all the walls. I only needed 1 extender to take care of my connection issues. The last company I used, who will remain nameless, required a $100 extender in each room of my house, or over $1,000 to cover my home. Buy this product, and you will not be disappointed.
