We had an Orbi and it started to drop connection so decided to add to our NETGEAR Nighthawk with two of the mesh range extenders to cover the whole house. They were very simple to install and since adding them, we have had no coverage issues and really no buffering when streaming. They have been a great addition to our network.

It was tough to get it to connect to our internet, but other than that it has worked as good as I could hope. WiFi is now extended to the rooms in the house that previously had weak connection and now the connection is strong everywhere. It also did not slow down the overall speed of the WiFi which I read some extenders do.

We have a ranch style home the cable router on one end and TV on other end. Because we have a concrete wall with the TV on the other side we needed better signal and we found that it works best between the router and wall. It doesn't give the right connection when placed next to TV box or router. But now we are happy with the results.

Once I was able to find the “sweet spot” to place this, it has worked well. The set up seemed easy, but it took a few attempts to get it to connect consistently.

I don’t really have anything negative to say about it. My apartment is pretty big and this thing was about to pick up signal from my other router on the other side and kept a decent speed. One pro to it is the 4 Ethernet ports on the extender. So far I haven’t had any dropouts in connectivity, but sometimes moving from one side of the apartment to the other can present issues with my WiFi connected devices. I think this is due to the fact that my devices stay connected to it when I walk to the other end of my apartment. Overall, I would suggest this to a person that’s looking for a great WiFi extender.

We have this approximately 25 feet from our main router. The signal strength never seems to be very high and it tends to loss connection twice a month. We use it to stream movies on a tv using Roku.

I work from home and was having connectivity issues. At first, I thought it was the router. I change it but still was having issues. That when I decided to buy NEATGEAR WiFi extender EAX20.It is a game changer. No more down time. It save my job. Best WiFi extender ever.

It kept cutting out and had to take it back. When it finally connected the speeds were ok if it stayed connected that was the main issue

I bought this for use with an arris wifi modem. After being on the phone with tech support it was discovered that this unit Incompatible with the modem. I didn't return it because I have another setup at a different location where I have a nighthawk wifi router. It works but I can't seem to get a solid connection [amber light indicates a weak connection] with the router despite following the directions multiple times.

Very unreliable connection. It gives me more issues than solutions. Easy to install but even tough it appears to be a stemless transition, equipment connected to the extender is not recognized as bein in the same network therefore in reality is not seamless. It is too expensive for what it does.

I’m reviewing this for an opportunity to win $400. Not because I need it but because I spent $100 plus on this piece of garbage. My network was 100x better without it. I am very well versed in networking and troubleshooting. Even if after all the time spent it worked properly, I would still advise against this. It does not maintain connections, it has to entirely to close to the router almost negating what we are buying it for. The app and setup is stressful and time consuming. I simply wanted my network to extend out to my driveway so we could open the garage via Apple car play while still sitting in the vehicle. Apparently too much to ask. Anyway maybe I’ll win the 400 bucks so I can get my money back since it’s out of the returnable window. This thing is a dumpster fire!!!

Tried to extend my WiFi range by maybe a couple feet. The extender was less the 20 feet from the router and the connection was a fraction of what I could get with the router. I knew the connection would be a little weaker but this was a crazy drop. On top of it taking way to long to even get my net gear router to connect to it, it just wasn’t worth the cost or the headache. And I’ll admit I’m not the best with tech but I can generally figure things out quickly so I can say the connecting part may be on me but the fact it dropped the speeds to less than 20 mbps from the 400 the router pushes to that part of the house is just crazy to me and it constantly disconnected I got a refund for it. Hopefully other people had better luck than I did.

It slows down the rest of the house devices and lose connection.

I bought this a week ago and it wouldn't connect to the 5G band nor the internet through my Netgear RAX35 router. It merges with my SSID, but then has no internet access. After 3 hours of research, I opened a case with Netgear. After another hour on the phone with support, they said the extender was bad and to exchange it. The second one won't connect to the internet either. One would think that a Netgear WiFi 6 extender would easily connect to a Netgear WiFi 6 router. I'll stick with using an old router as an access point with a different SSID. I've always used Netgear products, but may look at other brands now.

It really does extend range nicely and works 99% of the time. The problem is, now we routinely get kicked out of connections several times a day all throughout the house, even where signal strength was good before, which is fairly annoying and makes the device pretty much useless. I've tried all settings but no luck. BTW I have ATT Gigapower 1 GB fiber & router. Tried returning it to no avail and now have to claim a warranty event with Netgear, all pretty lame.

I got this a bit ago and it's become unreliable after maybe 2 yrs(?). It has trouble keeping connectivity with the modern. Still not that bad per se as a short term solution if you're having issues though

Loses connection constantly not really worth it. Probably a better device out there.

So so set up and connection. Fickle when it comes to integrating it into your home system.

So disappointed, from the time I opened it until I was ready to return it. There are no instructions, just a note to download an app and follow set up. The app wasn't always clear as to what I needed to do, I could never tell if it was truly extending my wifi or if my cameras were still trying to connect to my router. I also had many issues with connectivity for all of my other devices once the extender was set up. I had my son come over to check set up (he works in IT) and he said it looked correct, but wasn't thriled with the performance, or lack thereof. We decided it'd be best to return it, however I discovered that I was outside of the 15 day return period. What happened to 30 days?? I will think twice before purchasing here again.

Its a hit or miss with this model, meaning its a gamble, sometimes you get a working unit, sometimes its troublesome and keeps disconnecting, I highly suggest you get the extended Geek Squad warranty, less headache when it fails,..!
