Works Great For My NVR
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my NVR system. As it requires a ethernet connection and this comes with four of them. I was able to put in my garage and get everything to work without any fuss at all. SETUP: Is very easy and straight forward. You simply plug in the device, download the associated app, and then it walks you through the rest. It took about 5 minutes. Then I plugged in the ethernet cord to my NVR and I was up and running. PERFORMANCE: I usually get about 350 mbps down and 30 mbps up with my normal wifi but with this I was getting around 200 - 250 mbps and 30 mbps down. Which is acceptable seeing how far away it is from my hub. It also provides a large area of additional coverage. I now get a full signal all the way across the street into the park near my place. I haven't had any issues with it not working or going out. Boot up time is relatively quick. CONCLUSION: This device is easy to setup, works well, and I haven't had any issues with it. Making it an easy recommendation if it suits your needs. For me this was perfect.

Overall very good, but can be frustrating
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This extender allowed me to move our 5G cellular gateway to an upstairs location with a better signal and still get a strong wifi signal downstairs. That improved download speeds throughout the house by a surprising amount! Initial setup using the Nighthawk app was not difficult. But when the cellular gateway rebooted and decided to use 5Ghz wifi channel 100 DFS, the extender could not see that channel at all. Had to force the gateway to use a fixed 5Ghz wifi channel that the extender could see. All was good after that. I had no idea that could happen when I bought the extender so that was a frustrating failure at the time.

Best extender if you can justify the cost.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to boost signal to outdoor cameras and the performance is extremely impressive. Very easy to set up, especially if you already have the nighthawk app for your router. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the cost is very high compared to some alternatives. If you want the best, this is it.

Works well but I can't compare to others
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to install WiFi in an outbuilding that was 400' from the house. I couldn't find a suitable wireless solution, so I turned to a wired solution (underground Ethernet cable). I ordered a set of Google Mesh Network devices. I was disappointed in them because the extenders didn't have an Ethernet port on them. I returned them. (My friends older version of the same device did!) I turned to Netgear and purchased this four-port Netgear range extender. It worked from the moment I plugged it in and plugged the Ethernet cable in to it. I'm running three security cameras, a Google Mini and also using it to make Google Duo video calls. I'm pleased with the performance. I think it is a little pricey. I might have gotten by with something less expensive, but didn't want to take the chance and force me to make yet another trip into town. I marked the value down one star because I think they should be priced lower.

Good Hardware poor manufacturers support
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use ATT Internet. So I have ATT WIFI. The main router is at one end of the house. They say that coverage is 25 ft or 2 walls which ever comes first. I bought the WIFI extender from ATT, model air 4920. It worked added about another third of the house. Coverage for air extender is advertised as 600 sq ft. Enter the Netgear EAX20. The equipment is good. Says will cover 1800 sq ft. it does. TV in back bedroom went from 30% signal to 60%-100% signal. Back bedroom is about 50 feet from extender and three wall. Your mileage may differ. Four stars is because of manufacturers support. If you open a ticket on line they don't reply on line they call and mumble in the phone say call back but don't leave a number to call. They mumble the ticket number. I have not been able to register the product with them. I this does bad I'm going to trash it and find another manufacturer to buy from. Conclusion: Good product does what it says it will. Manufacturers support pulls a hard vacuum.

Good Range Extender
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed better signal strength for my Ring cameras and this range extender made it happen. I tried smaller, wall plug-in ones, and they didn't do the job and greatly reduced the speeds. This one extended the range and kept speeds at what they're supposed to be.

Gaspar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a ranch style home the cable router on one end and TV on other end. Because we have a concrete wall with the TV on the other side we needed better signal and we found that it works best between the router and wall. It doesn't give the right connection when placed next to TV box or router. But now we are happy with the results.

Worked as described
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used to get dual channel for certain devices that need to hook up to 2.4. Had a hard time connecting to router with sub speeds at first. Re set router and all is working well now. Problem devices have now connected on 2.4hz when I couldn’t get them connected on my mesh router. Also used as a stand alone connection point for gaming computer set up with low ping and fast up and down speeds. App is difficult IMHO patience is key.

Works Great, setup is a little technical.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given 5 stars but the setup could not be done through the app, it was a bit technical to get everything configured, however now that it is, I have no complaints. We are in a house with brick and plaster walls on both floors, with this extender connected, we can now get WiFi in the entire house and yard with no drop off.

Works well, setup is not simple
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This range extender works great. I bought it because I added some Wifi cameras in my backyard which were too far from my router to work properly. This solved the problem. Now I have full bars all the way to my last camera (about 60 ft from the extender location). The only negative I have is that I don't think the setup is that easy. You have to download an app to set it up which I'm not thrilled about. I wouldn't say it is super hard to setup, but the app could use some tweaking.

Good mesh extender router
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup with nighthawk app , seems very well built and fast speeds. Only complaint is I wish you can coustimize a bit more with the settings like the other nighthawk routers but for a mesh extender you can't complain.

Pretty good range!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router has been great! Reaches all the way back to the front of my garage. That’s a good 45-50ft from where the router is in the back bedroom. Only dropped out a once in over a month so I think it’s definitely a great buy!

Fixed WiFi issue
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had some trouble setting this up, the app really wasn’t any help, had to call the customer service line I looked up online. Once it was up and running it worked pretty well, fixed my dead zone issue I was having in the basement.

Good product when everything is working.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have two of these, and they work well. Initially I set mine up as extenders, but them I changed them to access points. My only complaint is that if you have a problem, it can be difficult to fix them, and you have to pay for support after an initial period of time. Also; I have had issues using the Nighthawk app several times.

Reasonable solution
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to improve the signal in a large home with little to no cell service. Except for timing out and having to reset, it is effective and works. We have had 18 devices connected to it at once and worked perfectly. Highly recommended for the price.

After Many Mesh Attempts, This Wins Day
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to replace a 4 year old wireless extender that was just too slow and not working as well with our Gigabit internet. Tried various different mesh solutions in our house but either the internet connections were too slow or they would disconnect randomly. I am a very technical person and I dont have time for timeouts of devices. So I made a last ditch effort with this. Easy to setup, and great connection and speed. Full house coverage for my tons of devices in my family home. ONLY negative is that it is so powerful that in places where I would connect directly to Comcast router, it takes over! Might need to have separate network names for extender and router to solve this.

Works once I got it set up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not a techie so it was a little more difficult for me to get it to work. It was sending out a strong signal but it seemed to ignore the internet so my devices couldn't connect. I had to reset it three times and start over. On the fourth try everything worked as it should. For what it's worth, I watched a video of a techie who said it took him three tries to get it to work.

Very nice mesh add-on
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does what it is supposed to! Needed a WiFi extender to reach the cameras in the garage - this did the trick. Easy setup via the Nighthawk iOS App.
