Reliable Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to purchase a new router since my old one died one day on me and so after pondering all the myriad of different choices at BestBuy I settled on this one because it provided the most above average features without having to invest in an arm and a leg. Previous router was a Netgear and I had that for probably close to 10 years and there were no problems other than the occassional hiccup of loss of connectivty, but nothing a good reboot didn't solve. The Netgear N750 provides reliable service and seems to have long range capabilities without too many problems with interruption of streaming internet. Set up was easy and straight forward out of the box. Overall good router for streaming movies, chatting, and just plain web surfing. Not a gamer so not sure how that handles up in that deparment.

Form over function
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As part of a family room remodeling project, we ran CAT5 cabling from our Xfinity cable modem in our office into the new built-in bookcases in the family room. I had previously used a Netgear WN2500RP Wireless Range Extender for the A/V equipment in the family room, but the signal from the Xfinity router was unreliable. I bought a D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Wireless Router (from BestBuy) and plugged that into a port on the cable modem, and that improved the signal strength and reliability, but there were still occasional dropoffs. Since streaming music (via Pandora on the TiVo) is our primary A/V application, I decided to run cabling directly to the receivers in the family room. When I initially setup our D-Link DIR-655 in the family room, my wife objected to the white color, 3 antennas and garish blue lights on the front panel. The appearance was not a factor when it was hidden away in a corner of the office, but I guess it is "Xtreme" in more than one dimension. So, I bought the Netgear N750, which has a nearly identical look and feel to the WN2500RP: black & silver, no external antennas, and a softer array of amber, blue and green lights on the front panel. I had a little trouble setting up the router as another access point connected directly to a port on the Xfinity cable modem (which also offers wireless connectivity). Turns out I had skipped the step to perform a hard reset on the Netgear router, in large part due to my inability to locate it - the reset button is recessed in the bottom of the unit (the right side in the photo shown on this page), rather than the back, where all the other buttons, ports and plugs are located. Netgear technical support was very helpful in diagnosing and fixing the problem via text chat. I have connected my Sony Bravia TV, Sony STR-DN1050 receiver, Sony BluRay player and TiVo receiver to the 4 wired ports on the back of the Netgear N750, and all have reliable Internet connectivity. The D-Link DIR-655 appears to provide greater range, and greater signal strength at similar range (perhaps due to the antennas?), but the range offered by the Netgear N750 is adequate, and my wife is happy now that she doesn't have to look at the "ugly" router anymore.

Easy Setup - Positioning Is Key
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded to a smart phone and needed to get a wifi router to keep my data rates down. This Netgear Router (WNDR4300) had everything I was looking for listed on the box so I decided to give it a try. The setup is very easy, you can go to the Netgear Website and download their software, Net Genie App, and it does most of the work for you. It comes already with its own device name and password pre-installed so hooking up devices is as easy as entering the information provided. I have hooked up my Sony Smart Blu-Ray Player, Xbox 360 Elite, HP Printer, and iPhone 5s and all work very well. I have only had the occasional buffering when streaming Hulu Plus or Netflix, and online gaming has been good as well. All of my entertainment devices are on the second floor along with the router so its not terribly straining I would think. The range is pretty solid, I have a three story condo so I was a little concerned about range. So far so good, I have only had my cell phone on the third floor to test the range, I guess the real test will be when I finally buy a new laptop and give it a true test. Advice I would give would be positioning of the actual router. Getting it in just the right position kind of reminded me when I was a kid playing with the rabbit ears on my parents old television trying to get the strongest signal. Keep it high and unobstructed. I started a HD movie on Netflix and basically kept nudging it left and right, up and down until the buffing went away. Overall I am pleased with the performance as well as the ease of setup. Also this router was on sale at a different retail store so I mentioned this to the sales rep ringing me up and it was as simple as looking it up on his smart phone to get me the price match. Shout out to Matthew for the help, thank you.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since installing this product our wireless internet has been great. We have several devices in our home and it seems to accommodate all of them just fine. We haven't had any trouble with it. Dual band is definitely the way to go. Installation was easy too, which is always a plus!

Easiest set up ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My original router, which was about 9 years old, just couldn't keep up with the larger home we moved to and a desktop computer, iPad, streaming TV, and smart phones. So I went to Best Buy and asked for help. The sales clerk suggested 2 or 3 and recommended the NetGear - N750 based on the size of my home (2500 sq. ft.) and WiFi products being used there. The installation instructions were easy to follow and set up was fast and easy. We non-Geeks appreciate that! I remember pulling my hair and spending a LOT of time setting up my old router but not so this time. And adding printers, phones etc to the network is a breeze. I am very happy with this product. No more stalled downloads and lost connections.

Decent router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a router with the 5GHz band to hopefully lessen interferences from other people's devices. Bought this as it was on sale. It was so easy to set up...plug and play. Works well with multiple devices connected to it maintaining internet speed. However, I would classify it's wifi range as medium as I only had one bar on wifi icon at the other end of my apartment. Although, internet speed was still very good. I have devices that connected to either 2.4 or 5GHz bands and they performed well.

on the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a decently priced gigabit router that was capable of supplying both the 2.4 and 5 mhz bands throughout my two story house. This Netgear router filled the bill nicely. It was relatively easy to configure, provides both secure and guest wifi on both the 2.4 and 5 mhz bands. It reaches further throughout my home with no dead spots. My network has numerous mac and windows computers, networked printers as well as a whole house NAS. I'm very pleased.

Great router for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router to replace an old and inconsistent router. Decided on this model based on price and features. The big selling point was the dual band wifi. Living in a condo the barrage of wifi networks really hinder performance. With the dual band router my wifi performance has increased significantly; where on the weekends i might see my downloads crawl to under 1MB/s it's at least 10 times faster than before. Set up was super easy and although accessing the advanced features of the router are not the easiest to find, to get things up an running was very fast.

Reliable wireless connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router because my cable modem/wireless router was dropping our wireless connections a lot. I still kept the old modem because the wired connections never had a problem and I didn't want to pay the extra to get another modem/router combo. I did have to manually configure it because I had to spoof the MAC address for it to work, but it was still fairly easy. It has been very reliable and I've never had a dropped connection yet.

Best I've found
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This generation of Netgear wireless router is so much better than my old one it is hard to believe it is the same manufacturer. Super easy to install and the dashboard is EXCELLENT. It makes it so much easier for the non-techie to make changes and to understand the functioning of the gear. It also seems to have a much farther range than my prior version. I can recommend this wholeheartedly.

Loved it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The previous router I had used to hang up everything and could not play games on the network. So I did some research online and got this one. Now I get very fast internet and gaming on the home network is much more fun. Very easy to setup and use, even if you do not know anything about technology.

easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Painless set up. Started working right away. Didn't realize our old router only allowed so much speed when streaming movies. Movies load three times as fast when we upgraded routers. hooking up a printer though doesn't seem to work. Our printer is hooked up to router and shows up as an Airprinter on our iPhones and iPads it does not print anything. Maybe we'll get it to work some day.

I'm not techie but this router was troubleless!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router because it was dual-band and I use my wireless to streamline movies so I wanted something that wouldn't give me issues. I'm work in finance so this IT stuff is way over my head. It's ridiculous that there are so many choices. I bought this router because it was about $100, middle of the road and it accomplishes what I want it to do....works without giving me issues! I don't have patience for troubleshooting tech stuff! The IT guy who set up my internet connected it for me and it's all good! The instructions are stupid easy anyway but he was nice enough to get it all connected for me anyway. I'm very happy with this product and I have always purchased the Netgear brand because they seem to make quality products.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this router a little over a month now and it has been great. I have about a 1400 square foot house and I've had no problem with range. I go outside and use it as well. I would highly recommend this product and would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Great Router, Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second time I've purchased this router, once for my home and then another for a family member in need of a router. Routers just seem to be getting better and better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Routers just seem to be getting better and better but this Netgear N750 is beyond expectation. It replaced a 4 yr old Cisco product and I am amazed by the increase in speed and reliability, allowing me to stream movies and big files without so much as a hiccup. A Best Buy sales associate recommended it and he was spot on.

Great router at a good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a previous NETGEAR home router for the past 7 years. It was actually still working, but I wasn't getting the speeds I previously had, so I chose the N750 Dual Band GigaBit (WNDR4300) as the replacement. Best Buy had a great price and this router had all the features I wanted. Speed tests now show I'm getting the full bandwidth my ISP offers. Also, it covers 2300 sq ft with no problem. It's very stylish looking, just a little larger than I anticipated, but that's ok. It looks nice standing on the shelf. Setup was really easy, both for my PC/laptop and my smart tv, Roku, Kindle, etc. (The setup technologies have really improved over 7 years!) I'm really happy with my N750 and have confidence it'll last a long time like its predecessor.
