Works as described-- more range!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to extend the range of the modem that was in the basement to the back porch upstairs. It worked well. Every several months I would have to reset it but that's no worse than the main modem. Set up was extremely fast and easy. Having both speeds was helpful for more range, it went through 3 walls including 2 exterior walls to get to where I do most of my work.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little gadget is a total game-changer! I used to have dead zones all over my house, but not anymore. The Nighthawk extender boosted my Wi-Fi signal to every corner. Setup was super easy too. Highly recommend for anyone struggling with weak Wi-Fi!

Netgear AC 1900 Mesh Extender Solved My Problems
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this due to my house being a large L shape. The master bedroom was furthest from my Nighthawk router. I would at best get 1 bar, so I did my research and decided Netgear AC 1900 Dual Band Mesh Extender was exactly what I needed. I now get 2-3 bars in the master bedroom and was extremely easy to setup with my Nighthawk router.

Go Faster with an Extender !!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop that I use primarily for Zoom meetings was as far away from the router as it could be while still being indoors. As a result, performance dragged, as was shown by low numbers in the speed tests that I ran. I bought this Extender as my router is Netgear. I know other brands should work fine but I chose to get this one and it works great! Configuration was simple and the speed on the laptop is significantly faster. It is well worth the money spent for me!

Pretty Good Extender.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device itself worked really well until it stopped working. Was really easy to setup and definitely helped improved coverage/speed. The only issue I ran into with my TV Service, which is over WiFi (not coax) and would run into issues with the cable boxes. I have a feeling I should have set it up through the admin settings and not the app, since my system uses a single SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHZ. This is also most likely a problem with the new Altice/Optimum Fiber service since it's new. Only 4 stars because the device stopped working after ~2 months. While Netgear Customer Service was responsive, the replacement process isn't great. The only options are to send it away, wait til they receive it and then they send out a new one for no charge or you have to pay for expedited shipping/replacement and you still have to wait for the device. They also couldn't replace it with the same model which isn't a big deal because it sounds like the only difference is a software update but it's still the principal. Also, only 3 month warranty for replacements.

Great Range Extender
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy to set up. Plugged it in and was running in 10 minutes including the time to download the NETGEAR Nighthawk app. And signal was strong enough to be picked up by devices within 15 yards around the back lawn and a directional antenna installed on an external shop building ~70 yards away.

Same name won me over
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had another Netgear extender that I purchased recently. I was looking for something that went a little further in range and saw that instead of adding "_EXT" to your network name, you could use the same name, I had to have it. They don't recommend that you use the same name, but I have not had any issues so far. Overall I am very happy with the performance. I did have to set it up on the web but it was VERY easy in my opinion. I am fairly techy.

Netgear EX6400 great range extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have IP Cameras outside on the opposite side of my home. This extender pushes the signal quite well now towards the router. This extender setup was very easy. I even sign in with my laptops while using them in the living areas several feet from the router with no problems. I have been very happy using this now for several weeks without issues.

Effective in extending Home wi-fi signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added an internet only TV to a remote room downstairs and I couldn't connect to wi-fi due to weak signal (router was upstairs through several walls). Plugged this in downstairs halfway between new TV and Router and set it up on my laptop (easy). It creates a new wi-fi name with an "ext" (extension). works great

Works Well For My Needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The WiFi Extender works well and reaches the area in the back yard that I am trying to cover. Set up is fairly easy but I still haven't figured out how to change the name of the WiFi Extender. Not much of a problem since I now have a "Netgear-Guest" WiFi for friends to use. The 5Gb AND 2.4Gb feature is welcomed. Would buy again.

Excellent Wi-Fi Extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking to be able to get access to home wi-fi outside. Selected this one due to range. Easy to set up, It is a little large, but plugged it in where you can't really see it, under a window behind a piece of furniture. Now we can sit on our back patio and further on our gazebo and use our own wi-fi.

Great for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only extenders available for a while were either cheaper for less signal (N1200 or less) or more $ for the Nighthawk line. I used to barely have a signal on back porch; now we have a decent signal deep into the backyard! Easy set up, but turn off other devices to avoid confusion.

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to setup and integrates right into the nighthawk app. I was able to get normal download speeds into a room that previously was barely getting a connection. I tried going the cheaper route of power line modules but that gave me horrible results.

Netgear Wi-Fi extender ac1900
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these for my home it really does make a difference for the Wi-Fi Signal. They are pretty straight forward to Set up and once you get them placed in your home where you want them you have very strong Wi-Fi signal. I live in a remote location And Internet is through towers, Verizon. The AC 1900 Wi-Fi extender was the solution to my problem. Remember you can only use up to 2 total. The instructions on how to set them up are straightforward just take your time and follow the directions . Now I have Wi-Fi and a strong signal .
