Great to extend wifi range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup with the mobile app. Do the initial setup in the same room as your wireless router. Once that's done, it's important to place this where your wifi signal is still good. ALL of the lights on the extender should be green. Extends both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. This accomplished what I wanted- extending the wifi signals to areas of weak coverage.

Works as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My router is in the basement. I was having trouble picking up the Wi-Fi in the garage and front door. Therefore, I couldn't set up my Ring doorbell. I picked this up and plugged it in at the top of the stairs in the hallway by the entryway. It worked great. It has even helped pick up a stronger signal on the back porch. I can't give it five stars yet because I need to make sure it holds when I really need it. It was a little tricky getting everything set up but not terrible.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems to have a decent range and okay signal. I could stream a video at extended range easily. The signal did slow down with multiple users during a conference, but we were demanding a lot from the device. Set up had multiple steps but was simple to understand.

Pretty Good Extender.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device itself worked really well until it stopped working. Was really easy to setup and definitely helped improved coverage/speed. The only issue I ran into with my TV Service, which is over WiFi (not coax) and would run into issues with the cable boxes. I have a feeling I should have set it up through the admin settings and not the app, since my system uses a single SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHZ. This is also most likely a problem with the new Altice/Optimum Fiber service since it's new. Only 4 stars because the device stopped working after ~2 months. While Netgear Customer Service was responsive, the replacement process isn't great. The only options are to send it away, wait til they receive it and then they send out a new one for no charge or you have to pay for expedited shipping/replacement and you still have to wait for the device. They also couldn't replace it with the same model which isn't a big deal because it sounds like the only difference is a software update but it's still the principal. Also, only 3 month warranty for replacements.

Great reach
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The nighthawk allows me to get internets into my pole barn across the street on a separate lot from my house. Can stream tv's and music with no problem.

Netgear Range Extender Used with Security Cameras
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well and the Nighthawk app made set up super easy. Only reason for four stars instead of five is because I expected a little better signal at distance. I purchased this to use with Ring Cameras I have mounted around the outside of my house. It gave me the coverage I need and I have signal everywhere around my house. I just expected the signal to be a little stronger at the longer distances.

Good range extender for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm pleased with the performance of this range extender. My home is 4000 sq. ft. and I often have difficulty throughout my home getting proper signal, even with a high end router. When installed properly, this extender has performed exceptionally , especially at its price point.

Once it's set up, it works great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, this is a powerful and reliable piece of equipment...I use it to extend my home mesh network out to my planting shed and barn. We have endured multiple power outages due to weather since purchase, and the extender always comes back on quickly. The reason I did not give the device 5 stars was issues on initial setup. When first installed, it blocked my home network instead of extending it. I reset the device to factory settings and followed the instructions meticulously...and again it blocked, rather than extended, my home network. After a second reset, it worked perfectly..it very quickly acquired the network and resulted in a network more than double the original size.

Set up my NETGEAR Nighthawk exterder
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked great. I had a bit of a time setting it up as I am not extreamly tech savy. After calling NETGEAR and getting a bit of direction - it synced with my Router and works great. I can get on my wireless system anywhere out in my yard or house. Im working from home now and this gives me the freedom to work either indoors or out on the patio enjoying my coffee and cool morning air. Thank you NETGEAR and Best Buy. : )

It works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this does indeed work where it extends the distance for WiFi pickup to devices it really did not solve the issue throughout my 4000+ sq ft house by itself. Needed multiple of these devices for it to work which I understand could significantly slow down connectivity. I only recommend for smaller space with just slight issues with WiFi extension. Otherwise, it works for the job it can handle

Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a tech person, so this item was extremely easy to install. Simple 1, 2, 3. My daughter has a huge gaming system in the basement, and it was not working properly until I purchased this device. Now it works great.

Good solution to range problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having issues getting my WiFi signal to my garage for my Tesla to connect to for updates. This extender worked well and provided plenty of additional range and speed to handle the overnight updates.

Good but app could be better for controlling.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good speeds the app is ok. Cant kick devices from the extender which i hate but it's fast when you run an ethernet to your PC! Went from about 60-90mb to over 330+ stable!

Expensive, but adequate
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item because my old wifi extender went belly-up. I first tried an identical replacement, which I had purchased on-line. The replacement would not couple with my ATT Gateway so I returned it for a refund. I purchased my NETGEAR AC1900 from BEST BUY. I initially had some trouble connecting to my ATT Gateway, but after resetting the range extender I was finally able to complete the connection and bring my outdoor camera back on-line.

works ok but reset is cumbersome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works fine but needs to be reset several times per week. Not their fault (that's on Comcast), however the reset process is cumbersome because the power cord needs to be unplugged, then need to find a paper clip to stick into the small hole, then count to 15 seconds then plug the power cord back in. There should be a more convenient way especially since this is one of the most expensive models on the shelf. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

NETFEAR Mesh Extender
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thee wifi extender seems to push the signal to areas of the property that I could not connect at before installing the range extender, I see my cell phone connect in these areas now, but have yet to try a smart TV.

The reviews were helpful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for better coverage in the garage during summer time, so I didn’t know how well it works yet. Inside the house it seems to work good.

One issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does extend and increases the speed, only issue is, while in the "mesh" zone, devices switch between the router and the extender...

Great for enlarging WiFi foot print
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I moved my router downstairs I lost signal to my outdoor patio in my back yard. This unit doubled the WiFi footprint on my property, so that was great. However I expected to have a easier time getting on To either of my WiFi channel’s, but that hasn’t been so great. I find myself switching back and forth between the channels because of lag time. Not sure why that is, but added range was what I was going for and it has worked for that.
