Outstanding Performance!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added the access point/ extender to my existing Netgear system to provide reliable wireless service in my garage and hopefully in our yard. It works fantastic. I would recommend this unit to anyone who desires reliable, strong WiFi signals. And it was super easy to setup!

NETGEAR - AC2200-Nighthawk X4 WiFi Range Extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beat WiFi range finder I have used to date! Replaced a TP-Link AC2600. Unlike the TP-Link, signal does not drop! Very consistent and easy to setup! Both bands (2.4 & 5) work excellent. Better range than the TP-Link and it is cheaper! What is not to like. Solid and dependable performance!

Fills the Void
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a house that’s roughly rectangular in shape. For a lot of reasons, I had to place my Wi-Fi router at one end of the house and that resulted in a very low/nonexistent Wi-Fi signal at the opposite end of the house. I already owned a Nighthawk X8 AC5300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router so I wanted something compatible with it. The Netgear Nighthawk X4 Wi-Fi Extender seemed a logical choice since it handled the multi-band router and provided the needed Wi-Fi capacity. Set up was pretty easy but you’ll have to set up each of your Wi-Fi devices to recognize the new transmitter. I don’t know if this will support gaming (I’m not a gamer) but it works well for video streaming. (Your salesperson should be able to help you with this.) I now have great Wi-Fi signal strength throughout my home and even in my back yard. Recommended.

As advertised!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this from Best Buy and it was actually offered at a lower price than other stores, so it was a good buy. Setup was easy, though it took a few minutes. Once setup was complete, moved it upstairs and it connected seamlessly and provided the extended wi-Fi range I was looking for. All our rooms have CAT-5 pre run, which is great for most of my applications, however, with so many wireless devices we needed a stronger signal upstairs and the Netgear Nighthawk X4 AC2200 fills that need. No pass through outlet or I would have given it five stars.

It works for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rather than run about 170' of cable for my wife who works upstairs and at the opposite end of the house, I tried this extender and she is happy with the increased speeds. Like the fact that the device lets you know if you are in range or too far to receive signal from router. Every time I pass by the unit and see the green lights I am thankful for the peace of mind.

Has worked great as hoped for....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originaly bought this as a refirb from Amazon. It never gave a consistent signal to extend my WIFI phone.. Too many cut outs and drops. I returned it and looked around but finally came back to Best Buy and bought it new. It works great, has boosted the part of my house that was dead before . I take it to my vacation home when I go (in the boonies but has cable) It has done as well a job there expanding my range. Easy app allows easy set up and reconfig if needed.

More Great Netgear Equipment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to expand my network far from my router and into my garage. This worked perfectly. Easy to setup. with the guide, and then you can have access to all of the advanced features. It has a strong signal and covers a lot of area. I made the 2.4 and 5GHz channels the same SSID as my router but on different channels. I use this as an extender connected by an ethernet cable. Worked with no problems. The unit can be put in an outlet and you can still have assess to the bottom plug. Overall, another solid piece of Netgear networking equipment.

Finally Full Coverage!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had trouble with our wifi reaching all parts of our house. We just purchased the Xfinity Xfi pods-what garbage! Returned them immeditely and purchased the Netgear Nighthawk. I can't praise it enough. It looks cool plugged in, super easy and quick to set up. I love that all our laptops, iPads, iPhones & desktops are finally getting full coverage and top speeds anywhere in the house. No lags, no messages, no dropping service, no Cellular Data having to be used in your own home! I'm even able to get a strong signal in our driveway!

Wouldn't sync with AT&T router
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was pretty easy and fast. But my At&t router kept showing it online, but pending. So, no signal was being transmitted. I tried another cheaper Netgear product first and had to return both. Neither would work with my At&t router. Went with Google home wi-fi system and now blazing speeds on all devices. A lot more money, but problem solved. Note: Arlo cameras apparently get there signal from the Arlo base station only. I was buying extender to get full signal to rear camera. Didn't happen.

Great WiFi extender!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This WiFi range extender does a great job! Easy set up with the app. We stream our tv shows, we were having issues with buffering. We also were not even getting a signal 2 floors up. Now it comes in flawlessly! We are also getting great signal on our wireless security cameras. Very happy with the purchase of this product.

Good buy
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this extender to boost my wifi signal for my backyard detached covered patio. The extender is indoor by a window that is 33 feet away from my outdoor patio tv and I get between 90mbps and 1115mbps signal at that range. I would give it a higher rating but my wifi signal indoors reacher up 650mbps so I think it should be a little higher. The setup was also a breeze so that’s a plus and I’m not that computer savvy.

Easy to setup Wi-Fi Range Extender
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a GREAT range extender for my CenturyLink C300 modem/router and, based on past experiences with NETGEAR Wi-Fi products, I picked this up. Setup was VERY easy only a couple of web pages and I was connected within a few minutes. I had a strong Wi-Fi signal in most of the places I didn't before (this replaced a 6 unit Google Wi-Fi Mesh setup) but to cover everywhere I had to try different places. That was to be expected as the router was at one end of the house (2 stories and 2500 square feet). I found a location which worked for all devices on both stories. We get great throughput on all of the devices connected wirelessly (probably more than 100 including all of the IoT). My one complaint (and this applies to any extender setup) is that the software doesn't have any way to tell you the signal strength in order to make it easy to place the extenders. Once it's configured, you're on your own finding the limits of your current signal.

Excellent product - does what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed to extend the range of my Netgear AC3200 WiFi router. Couldn't get a good signal on my back patio with router in the office in front of house. Setup was easy and now I have wifi all the way out to the pond (about 100') in back yard. Nice to get something that works as advertised.

Helped boost my WiFi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Living in an area with a weak Wi-Fi service, and in a two-story home, getting a clear signal at the opposite end of the house is not good. By installing this range extender I am able to have a better quality signal. Plus, it was a breeze to install and understand. I had it going within 10 minutes, and I am a senior citizen with not the greatest technology knowledge. So far I have been very happy with this product.

Outstanding Power
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, like James Thurber's aunt, I believe if you unplug a lamp from a wall socket, electricity fills the room to the level of the socket. That being said, I shop at Best Buy for anything electric and use the Geek Squad for my computer when my 4 year old granddaughter, who understands computers, is away at law school. This product is a life saver. We live in the country and our phone system powers our computer. We got a burglar alarm which was installed in the other side of the house. It needed a stronger signal. This served the purpose. It was easy to program, well, for a 4 year old, and now we have phone, computer and alarm working. I wonder about my 30 year old pager?
