Do not get 30 days to return
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is NOT worth the money! This extender did absolutely nothing for us. I ordered this online and received it July 10th. On Aug 2nd I got on account to try and return and it says it’s past time to return! So you don’t even get 30 days to return it. Better yet I did not plug this in as soon as I got it, I waited two weeks. My fault . But I would think I at least had 30 days from purchase date .

Easy Setup, Had Issues though. . .
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was easy to setup and link to our router. The issues started after setup though. For some reason, every 20minutes certain wireless devices would disconnect to this extender such as our Roku or laptops. Tried different outlets as well, same issue. Perhaps it was my use of the item but unfortunately that was my experience.

Strong Signal but Nothing Connected
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is a bit of a pain to setup. I set it up as a mesh-extender. It also turned out useless in real life. I started out with it 10 feet from my Netgear AC2300 router. I pressed the WPS buttons and both blinked, then the connect status went on. So good thus far. I connected to it and looked at the configuration. It had extended my 5G, but not the 2.4G, so I told it to add that too. It then went into a save mode that never ended. I gave it an hour. The unit was now a brick restarting didn't work, couldn't connect to it, etc. I did a factory reset and did the process again. This time I was able to get through everything and the save worked. I loaded the app on my phone to check signal strength and placed the unit at three different locations in my house. I picked the location that improved the signal the best for the 1/4 of the house with a weak signal, while still maintaining a reasonably strong signal (85%) between the base unit and the extender. I could not get anything to connect through the extender, even though the signal strength was up to 15dB stronger. I turned off the name broadcast on the router and restarted a few units. They then connected through the extender. I reset the router for name broadcast and overnight all the systems reconnected to the main router, even though they were all in places that the extender was 10-15 dB stronger. While this might be a defective unit, I'm not sure since it did provide a very strong signal. I'm returning it.

Get a better one!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was not a great extender! It could have been better. The extension was exteremely weak. It would constantly chip in and out. Do not. I repeat DO NOT buy this!

So so at best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the money. I had an older extender with less power and was looking for an upgrade in speed and distance. This did not increase either speed or distance as compared to my older model.

Expected Better for the $
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is not a seamless transition on devices. The product often jams other devices so they are unable to connect to the WiFi, even when they are in the same room. It seems like the device gets confused between networks and ends up not able to connect or dropping connection. I purchased over less expensive products hoping for seamless connection and improved speed across the house. So far I’ve been disappointed.

Nightmare mode.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spending about a hour to try to get it to even find my wifi with the wps connection I had to go and manually set it up off their website and an ethernet cord. When I finally got it to attach to my wifi it barley extended the signal more than 15 feet and it just looses connection randomly and stops your internet use entirely and I can't get it to connect to the 5g band I pay for 1 gigabyte worth of bandwidth and I tend to like to be able to use it all. I do live in a true log cabin though and the walls are around three foot thick so I'm not going to give it a one star review it might work better in a normal 5 inch wall home.

Not Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not seamless and drops connections often.. When you move around network transition from mainarouter to extender is not seamless. Looks like it also throttles speed. Speed what you get while on main counter is definitely different from extender

Spotty, look for alternative
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased to gain better coverage in basement. My router is on the 1st floor and It didn’t provide strong enough signal for streaming down there - Netgear Nighthawk. I found that the extender worked well when connected, however it would seem to drop its link with the primary router frequently. After about a year and a half I couldn’t get the two devices to pair. I’d suggest looking at a mesh system or another alternative.

Upgrade your spectrum WIFI modem & router instead!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return this extender. Unfortunately it was trying to reroute my living room TV to the extender upstairs and was cutting the connection several times. It worked upstairs but messed up our TV downstairs. Not worth it. I upgraded my Spectrum Wifi box free and my internet upstairs works amazing now.

Not What Was Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not work well with my existing WiFi. Had to create a new WiFi name to use item. Did not “boost” signal of existing WiFi. Return was a breeze.

Did Not Work Setup was horible
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I had a lemone, but i did Setup and reset it 4 different times and eaxh time made sure it had the latest firmware update. First time it connected but cept giving any device connected no internet due to an IP address error. Next 3 times it would Error out during the middle of set up. It would show that it was connected to my Wi-Fi router and was still giving me the same IP address error. With the Edition of if I went to the Nighthawk app and tapped on it it would say that it was not set up and try to get me to do set up even though it was already set up. If I tried doing that set up process like it prompt it would again air out since it was already set up. Ended up returning and swapping out for a completely different model. The different model that I got setup and worked flawlessly the first time with no issues! I bought a second of the new model since i live in a big house and it worked first time easy as well.

Poor coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wi-fi connection goes out while using 4k streaming. I have moved the extender to several rooms throughout my home and the connection usually drops after a few hours. I will be exchanging for a difference device. My router is upstairs and the extender is downstairs. Would not recommend.

Would not purchase again
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Difficult to set up. Kept losing connection after a few hours. Took several days to finally get it set up right. Should not be that difficult. Followed step by step directions but had to go search the internet for troubleshooting to get it set up right.

Looses wifi signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for about a week. Now every day it looses the wifi signal from the router. All the lights are green on the face of the extender. But can't connect. Unplug it. Plug it back in. It will work. Till the next day. Very frustrating. Wasn't worth the price.

Extender no good
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Connection issues. Don't like the product because my phone connects through the extender all the time which is more problematic than my router. Wouldn't recommend.

Ok when working, needs constant reseting
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s ok. When it’s working it’s super fast. The problem for me is that it loses its connection with our router multiple times a day, has to be reset, and then takes several minutes to reconnect. I’ve tried locations all around the house but the result is the same. This Is really annoying for meetings since it takes four minutes on average to set itself up every time it starts/ resets. It’s still better than nothing, but certainly not great.
