Powerful, Fast and Great Range
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this product to replace an old Netgear RAX120 router. The router was great but I did not get a signal on the back of the property. With purchasing the Orbi 770 it came with a router and 2 satellites. The router staying in the main level office. The satellites were placed in the basement then in the window of the spare bedroom facing the backyard. I now have full WiFi bars on my whole property. Still learning more about this system but the separate IoT channel is really cool and makes the setup of your smart devices much easier. I highly recommend this Orbi system. Low cost WiFi 7 I think is the best out there for the money. I did have to buy a switch because I had 5 wired internet connections in the house and this only has 3. Just keep that in mind. But a Netgear switch is under $15 and will handle that for you.

Better if you have WiFi 7 devices but..
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had Orbi RBR850 mesh system and it did "ok" but satellites only connected wirelessly. I have an out building that connected but the latency created issues. I upgraded to this and connected a fiber optic cable between buildings and now have full speed. This definitely was an improvement Where this shines is if you have any wifi 7 devices as you really can get some speed. I only have 2 devices that can take advantage of it now but assuming that will change over time. My main issue is that there doesn't seem to be a good solution to force a device onto a satellite once it grabs the router and you move away. The speeds go down and latency goes up unless you do a network reset on the device. I looked at reducing the transmit power on the router/satellites but didn't want to go too low in fear that the back haul would be impacted in the house. Even my computer that is next to the satellite wants to connect to the router on the other side of the house via 2.5 channel. Still working through fine tuning this but would have hoped for the price it worked a bit better. still a good upgrade for the problems I was trying to solve.

Great coverage and easy setup
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 770 Tri-band WiFi 7 Mesh 3 Node system has been a great upgrade and improvement over my previous Linksys WiFi 7 mesh system that failed. The new system was much easier to setup and quickly downloaded needed apps and information onto my mobile device from the QR code. Additionally, the large benefit over the previous system is that there is a main or base node that then connects to the other two nodes. The linksys was a daisy chain so the wired node on the main floor connected to the basement node, that then connected to the 2nd floor node. This weakened the coverage for a large multi-floor home. The access through the app is much simpler. I am experiencing much higher speeds and ability to have a large number of devices connected (25 ) with minimum degradation. From Ring door bells, to thermostats

Great Speed and Coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this WiFi 7 system to replace a different brand that failed after just two years. The set up was easy and now I'm getting 950Mbps download and 116 upload. The coverage is so good, I can watch TV from my backyard.

Good throughput, nice upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This solved a number of compatibility and stability problems that related to two buildings (one metal) and distance across the property. I am impressed how far the WiFi coverage reaches out into the back lot. The older system had trouble with an AC powerline WiFi extender, simply would not get internet. I decided to future proof to 7 even though 6 is the newest WiFi I have. The one nit I have is that when a power cut happens, one satellite does not come back sometimes and needs a separate power cycle to come back online. I would worry that if we were not here and there was a power bump, some of the WiFi security cameras would not be able to connect afterward.

Upgraded from Gen 2 Starlink Router (now in bypass
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely easy to setup, and covers the 3300 plus garage and outdoor area around the home. I was looking for some time for the right one to upgrade from gen 2 Starlink - it is now set in bypass mode and the Orbi 770 is doing great with the number of devices it is managing at any one time. General use - having anywhere from 2 to 4 phones, 1-2 laptops (work from home with video conferencing), streaming TV and a pile of connected devices (smart speaker, home appliances...). Very happy with the performance so far.

Very pleased with Orbi 770 3-pack system
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent range, signal strength, and speed, even when connected over a long linear distance through multiple walls, some of which are brick. The mesh network has been totally reliable so far - no more dropped connections, which had become frequent with my previous system. Setup instructions could be a little clearer, but are OK.

Nice WiFi System
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a NETGEAR Nighthawk to the ORBI 770 series mesh router with two satellites. Installation was fairly simple and straightforward after I contacted my ISP to change the MAC ID of my router. I’m extremely pleased with the enhanced coverage area and the ease at which devices switch between router and satellites based on signal strength. The transition is seamless and unnoticeable on the device. I also experienced an 18 mbps increase in speed on download and a 5 mbps increase on upload. So far I’m very happy with the ORBI 770.

Stick with the ORbi
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded from the Orbi RBR50 and were not disappointed. Had the 770 setup in around 30 minutes and all devices connected flawlessly. Speeds are lightning quick and coverage is good in every corner of our nearly 6,000sq ft house. We have 3 kids and stream a lot and so far we have not a one hick-up, Considered other brands, but stuck with Netgear, so far happy with our decision.

Solved my issues.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good.. I was having a very difficult time getting good speeds in my basement. I tired the eero 6E Pro - 3 pack and it did not solve the issues. I exchanged that purchase for this 3 pack system and it is a massive improvement.. With the eero, I was getting about 200 mbps download from my 1gig internet plan. With the Orbi 770 - 3 pack, I am getting between 450-500 down in the basement. The Satellites for the 770 were placed in the exact same locations as the eero's were. Overall I am happy with this system. Even better is that it was on sale for $800.. A bit more than I wanted to spend but since it solved my basement issue, I am happy with the purchase.

What a Great System!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My home is 3 levels that I used a Velop 6 mesh System with 8 nodes feed from an 1 gig ATT router. Speeds were ok but not great, id have to reboot the system weekly as the nods always lost signal. 2, weeks ago I upgraded to a mesh 7 system with 3 nodes. What a disappointment! I finally broke down and changed over to the NetGear Orbi 7 mesh system with one router and two satellites. OMG I had speeds of 700 from the furtherest satellite. I purchased an additional satellite just for onedesd spot. This is the system I needed from day one. Don't hesitate to purchase this system, it's worth its weight in gold!!!

Good once it was working
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace another Orbi system that extenders wouldn’t sync up after 1 year. Bought a brand new one and had a faulty extender right out of the box. Then after hrs on the phone with customer care purchased a replacement for that system. Received the second one got it up and running, returned the first system for a refund. Everything is working well now after 1 month.

Solid Performer Netgear Orbi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Orbi 770 - Great wireless mesh solution. Easily offered extended range in our 8,000 square foot home - 3 levels. Placed one on each floor. No disruption in 1 gig bandwidth. Super easy set up - connectivity and network management. This appears to outperform our previous Eero set up.

WOW it's fast.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally getting the actual speeds I pay for. It's extremely fast, and when I say extreme I mean that. My steam deck has never gotten more than 40Mbps on the old RB20 and now it's getting the full 500Mbps from my satellite. I got this expensive ( yes I know it's expensive) to future proof, plus I'm moving soon. The big test was online gaming. Son played from a Ps5 while I was on my laptop, and two other family members were streaming. It didn't skip one bit.

NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Eero Pro 6E as well as the Orbi 770 to try them both out. I set the Eero system up first and it was an absolute breeze. I had it up and running in less than 15 minutes. The Orbi 770 system was an absolute nightmare to set up. After spending 3 hours on the phone with customer service I still could not get it to connect to my isp. They told me they needed to escalate my case to a tier 2 tech and I would receive a call from them. Well, I finally received a call from them 2 days later and spent 4 hours on the phone with them. They were no help. Finally called my isp and had them on the phone with Orbi (Netgear) support and we did eventually get it setup. However, after one brief power outage both satellites disconnected and I could not get them reconnected and I was NOT about to call customer support again. I promise I'll wrap this long review up with just a few closing notes. The Orbi did have really good coverage and speeds. I have 1 gig internet and with Eero I was getting download speeds on my iphone 15 pro max of 680mbps, with the Orbi it was 770mbps. However, with all of the issues setting up the Orbi and then the satellites losing connection, I decided the Orbi was just not worth it and returned it to Best Buy and I am very happy with the Eero Pro 6E mesh system.

Posted .Hi ChrisC,
Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback and we want you to know that your experience is important to us. We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with your RBE773 while installing, the Satellites disconnecting after a power outage as well as your Support Experience and have already returned your RBE773.
When encountering trouble while installing your Orbi Wi-Fi System, we recommend visiting this resource: https://kb.netgear.com/000061613/What-should-I-do-if-I-m-having-trouble-installing-my-Orbi-WiFi-System?language=en_US.
If your Orbi satellites are disconnected after a power outage, it's because they need to be re-synced with the main Orbi router; simply power cycle your entire Orbi network by unplugging both the router and satellites, then plugging them back in, and press the "Sync" button on both the router and each satellite within a couple of minutes to re-establish the connection. Fantastic right out of the box!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The easiest set-up and install ever. The instructions are bery clear. The app is simple to use. I have a 2-story basement 4,000 sqft home. Wifi coverage with an Apple Time Capsule was spotty. Now I have 500 GB coverage (my current internet cable subscription) through the whole home. I also love the security features. I paid the premium for a better and easier to use product, absolutely worth it!

Poor customer service from Netgeer
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One satellite has poor connectivity with the router. After a month of discussions with Netgear's tech support they agreed it is defective. Now they want me to buy a box and pay for return shipping, even though it is under warranty. Poor customer service from the manufacturer. My old orbi router had better connectivity. Too late to return to BB.
