    Overall Good Tech and Speed

Nice set of a mesh router and 2 satellites. Easy to setup and decent speeds. Wish the app was a bit more friendly and had more features like ASUS but it’s functional. You’ll have to do WPS manually from the router or satellite which is very inconvenient. A bit pricey but stable and reliable.

This is an expensive setup, but was deemed necessary due to the size of our house (which included a very isolated modem placement) and the number of users due to telecommuting and our kids' online classes. Overall, the system works, but does go offline occasionally, necessitating a reboot of the system. The app that controls the system is not helpful. It is not intuitive and could really use an upgrade in its interface.

I have an Eero Pro system that I have used for several users but wanted to update to a newer WiFi 6 system with hopefully better speeds. This device didn’t disappoint when it came to speeds. They were excellent over WiFi getting 500-600+ MBPS in same room or one room over from main router where previously I would get 200-300. Even the mesh router one level down in my basement gave me speeds of 400+! The range was excellent working outside even further than my 3 pack of Eero Pro! All my outdoor security cameras had improved signal strength. So going off of range and speed this was top notch! Now I was left wanting more out of the app. Coming from Eero app and even using some other brands this one gave me less options and less information about my network. Disappointing for the price point. Also, personally not a fan of the look of the routers either. They are big!! If you are wanting speed and range and don’t care about options with your network or the look of the router...this is for you! If the options in the network/app are important...you might want to look elsewhere.

I would give this a 4.5 stars but cannot. This router and satellite is amazing. This really takes advantage of my 1g speeds. The range is amazing fully covered beyond the house. 5stars. However, the application they direct you to use will not work for set up. If you set up and after update you cannot access these through the app. Just plug into the router and access this through 192.168.1.1 (admin/pass) and finish the update there. For the price point you don’t expect this. 4stars. Overall I love this and it works greats for covering my 3 floors I needed covering, but it’s a bit expensive.

Upgraded Home Networking and Future Proofing

Needed to upgrade the wifi at home for distance learning school and home office use. Also wanted to plan for future 4K TV and 5G fixed wireless option when available. Setup was simple, and the wifi was noticeably faster and more reliable throughout the house, even with the same internet plan. Would have liked more options on the app for parental/device controls. Also, for the price, would have appreciated Armor security to be free rather than through subscription service.

Connection and setup were easy. I get the 1G speeds from this router that I did not get with my old Nighthawk router. I do not like the Orbi app or website controls. They do not give you enough options (No way that I have found to split 2.4 and 5G bands, they are both under the same SSID. I had then separate before and like being able to choose what ran on each band. The parental controls when set to teen do not allow for Paramount+ to play. I cannot figure out how to get this added without just turning off the parental controls. The parental controls need an easy way to add new things that are not there.

Excellent way to extend WiFi through out the house. Relatively easy to install but some issues with the app. Overall a solid product.

VERY EASY TO SET UP! This system is great. Flawless Wi-Fi throughout the home now. Actually getting the internet speeds we pay for now. Deducted due to the fact that the app sucks! Hopefully that will be fixed with an update.

Do not buy this until they work out all of the bugs (which frankly could be never). The telephone support I received was a complete waste of time. The person basically said I should return the item and didn’t offer any helpful suggestions. The app does not work and I am constantly kicked off the service for no reason. Disaster of a product and I wish I did not buy it. The Orbi AC-3000 Triband which also had a lot of negatives reviews early on actually worked great for me as I likely bought it after they worked through the kinks. If I knew what I know now I would never have tried to “upgrade” my wifi with this junk.

System works great. You will need a third satellite however if your in an old home with block walls like me due to the signal not being able to reach certain areas. And my home is only 3300 ft.². During setup there were times when the app was not registering the satellites connect when it was clearly connect also.

Orbi app is most disappointing thing about this product. All other mesh systems, even tp link decco has better app than netgear orbi.

I paid $1000 for a brick. Purchased May 2021, And now the app won’t log into the router, and there’s zero customer support. Unbelievable.

What a waste of time and money. I got the Orbi and connected all my devices and none had a full 3/3 bars connect, my tv and fire stick are literally next to it. Then I called up Netgear, got put on hold for an hour for the Netgear rep to tell me to turn off the AX setting (which isn’t essentially the waif 6). It didn’t work, then I was told I would get a return call/email and they never did. They had awe full customer service, I mean it is a 700$ router. The app isn’t customizable. For me it was between this and the Velop Linksys 6, I returned this one and replaced with Linksys and I’m very happy now.
