Great ice but not perfect

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As far as the ice making goes that is great and does a good job and very quick, this whole thing about the nugget ice is no big deal, I don’t find myself eating the ice. It is not the same as sonic Ice so let’s be clear. Next the only draw backs are is the ice scooper placement is so stupid, I can’t even tell you, next this thing is so loud it sounds like a 57 chevy running in the kitchen and it has a rattling metal noise. It’s a trade off I try to ignore it but for 500 it’s tuff ! The reason I selected this is the capacity it holds about 5 big bottles of water and it’s more insulated so the cubes don’t melt as fast. The ge opal has a stupid design with plastic door where the ice sits, So good ice maker but extremely noisey!

Unusually loud and quit working after 1 week.

The machine is unusually loud though it was making ice. I sent a video to Newair Support. They requested a video. They agree it is not supposed to be that loud. Now today (after I used yesterday and made ice pretty good) when I plugged it in and turned on the noise is even louder and after 5 minutes both the ice full and add water light blink and it shuts off. Newair is sending me a new one so we will see how that goes and I will post another review.

Perfect Christmas gift
