i loved this camera when i got it but i didnt get a warrenty and after a while when i took pictures it was blury and purple so i took it into best buy and the guy told me it happens sometimes, and that i couldnt get a new one because there was no warrenty, so i would recomend buying the camera and getting a warrenty because the camera takes really nice pictures and is really easy to use because there isnt a million buttons so its not confusing.

Purchased this camera for my mother and she loves it. I chose this one for her because it is very easy to use and she did not want a very complicated one . This camera is worth it for the price and is a great camera for kids and beginners. Another reason I chose this one is because I own a Nikon camera and I have been very satisfied with it. When I'm ready for my SLR camera it will definitely be a Nikon

I bought this camera over the holidays, and i love it! I looked at some of the reviews of this camera, and they helped me decide to buy it, and i'm glad i did. What's great about this camera is the bang for the buck. The camera was under $100 during the sale, and a great guy helped me out saying that this one is the best for me. I love the picture quality; so much better than my old Fujifilm, and there are a lot of features to choose from. The camera also takes great close-ups! A couple of things that i didn't like about this camera is that it takes a couple of tries to get the camera focused to take the perfect shot, and even though the video quality of picture is good, the sound is not so good. There's also a feature called Panoramic Assist. I didn't like it b/c you had to download the software on the computer, and when i downloaded it, i did not know where to go to put the panoramic photo together; it was a little waste of my time. I think those are minor defeciencies, and overall, this is the camera to get if you're not that big of a picture taker, and it's also a good, cheap camera if you are interested in photography. PS, use lithium batteries!

I've always wanted a nikon camera, ask any photographer about them, they will simply tell you they are top quality, i bought it because for 139.99 that is a steal for 8MP, highly recommended, its a nice shade of blue and they are right in the store if you want to try them out before you buy it, you will be amazed, i took a pic of a gatorade bottle 8 feet apeox away and when i loaded it up to my computer and zoomed into the pic i could actually see what the contents table says, thats genuine right there

This was my first digital camera and it is outstading. When I went to the Best Buy Store I looked at all of the camera's around, and fell in love with ths one. It was worth the money. YOU REALLY SHOULD BUY THIS... Nikon is a really good brand, and it is outstanding for only 8MP. I made my first YouTube video using the camera and it has really good quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGfUNq9FMbs It is also very easy to transfer the pictures to my computer. I just connect my USB cable and click start transfer, and it only transfers the photos I choose. Very good camera for anyone. I Hope this helps... The picture is Hilary clinton talkig on TV.

I just purchased this yesterday but I love it. I'm going to Disneyland on Saturday and can hardly wait to put it to use. It's very easy to change the picture settings. One thing I really like too is that it has a metal loop for a wrist strap (which it comes with) or your could also use a lanyard. I recommend this camera!

This camera is Great! I have a Cannon A 80 that we got about 5 years ago for over 300. and if you have great eyes to see the screen to switch everything between shots...then it takes great pix... I was looking for my daughter and her husband, that are expecting twins so I could get some good pix... I was hesitant at first... First you must get a memory card along with some rechargeable batteries, that is the only way to go... brought the camera home.. took some test shots and WOW... they are assume, just set on the auto... So Happy,, Now I am telling my husband that I need one for my Birthday !You cant go wrong with this camera, it is the best....

I bought this camera to replace a Sony W7 that cost me more than twice the cost of this Nikon L18. I just used the W7 on my sons birthday and the pictures came out terrible. This camera takes incredible pictures that put the Sony to shame. I have been using digital cameras since they came out , and let me tell you this camera rocks. If you are looking for a great little camera that delivers great pictures than this is for you.

I bought the camera for my girlfriend's birthday, she loved the camera. The day she got it she took 100 pic's, no lie. We are frm the N.Y. & N.J. area and the N.Y. skyline was the first pic! The price of the camera was outstanding, where are going to buy an 8.0 mega pixel camera for $129.99 w/a 3.0 inch viewing screen also, not possible. For all you college students on summer break and have that summer job, save up & buy this product to take back to college or record the summers crazy events ya got me lol..........

I was looking for a video camera for Christmas and started looking at the video features of some of the digital cameras. I really liked this one. We already had a pretty good digital camera, but this one is better and $150 cheaper. When we cropped some of the photos they came out better than using photo editing software on the computer. Don't bypass this camera.

I bought this camera the day after christmas. I was upgrading from my old FinepixE510. I love nikons, but i couldn't afford the D60. so I go this. As a point and shoot/snapshot camera, it's great. But I was going to use it in one of my many photography classes, and since there are no manual controls, i really can't. there are no P/A/S/M settings, no way to change the ISO and no way to change the white balance metering mode. very important. The Nikkor lens is a big selling point though. If you want a simple point and shoot for a gift for a camera newb or just something to take quick snapshots at family gatherings and things like that, this would be great fro you. But if you want a camera that gives you control over the settings and things like that, this would not be for you. I would recommend this, and I would not recommend it. it really depends on what you're looking to use it for.

I wanted to add a point-and-shoot camera to my camera equipment for certain situations where more complicated photo setup is not always possible. I did a lot of research before I decided on the Nikon L18. I knew when I left Best Buy that I had only 14 days to evaluate the camera and it would cost me a 15% restocking fee if I was unsatisfied. Well, I am very disappointed in the quality of photos and the time lag between shots. I took the camera back and paid the 15% fee. Maybe this is an isolated instance and this particular camera had a problem. Either way I would not believe everything you read and I would not recommend this particular Nikon. I am a proud owner of other Nikon cameras.
