    The Echo base makes the echo dot second generation portable, it comes wth a battery that charges by sitting on the base and can be taken off and put back on the base smoothly it can be on the base indefinitely and can handle 10 hours of unplugged use.

    I love this battery! The very fact that I can now pick up my echo dot and carry it with me throughout my home and even into my back yard for several hours at a time makes this one of the best products that I have ever purchased. I will most likely buy another one to go with my second echo dot that is primarily kept in my kitchen.
