Easy to use! Great Display! Excellent Results!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controls and cool intelligence produced excellent results for me in this full featured blender/food processor appliance. Design The Detect Power Kitchen System Blender and Processor Pro is all black with silver trim. I like the look of the rounded corners. There are suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving when you use it. There's a prominent Ninja logo on the front of the base unit. Below that there are 5 buttons; Power, Manual, BlendSense, Mode, and Pulse. Below those buttons there is a large dial that's also a button. It includes a 72oz pitcher (64oz max liquid capacity), a 64oz food processor bowl that can handle up to 2 lbs. of dough, and a 21oz single server cup (21oz max liquid capacity). The pitcher has a pour spout and there's a nice lid for the single serve cup which also had a closing spout. The blades for the blending pitcher and the bowl for the processor both have the blades anchored at the top and the bottom. If you take off the lids and pour, the blades will fall out, so make sure to remove them before pouring if you take the lid off. They do come out very easily. The processor bowl includes an opening like you would expect to see on a food processor as well as a pusher to push items down. There's a blade insert, insert for kneading bread, and a disc for shredding and slicing - put it in one way to shred and flip it over to slice. The manual comes with some recipes, done nicely with color pictures. It is made to detect Torque, Ice, Portion, and Liquid as part of the BlendSense technology. Controls I love the controls on this! After turning it on, you will have four options, Manual, BlendSense, Mode, and Pulse. It goes to BlendSense by default when you turn it on and you can just press the dial to start. There is a beautiful and bright display inside the large dial. I found it very easy to read and use. Parts of it illuminate as needed. Turning the dial has a great feel as you feel the slight bump from option to option, making selection with the dial easy. Once you're on the option you want, just press the dial in to start blending. If it's doing BlendSense it will run for a short time to detect what's in and/or how to blend. To use the food processor you may want to use one of the Mode settings, which are for that, or you can use Manual. Under Mode there's are settings for Disc (used for slicing or grating), Mince, Small Chop, or Large Chop. The options under Manual are Low, Medium, and High. Again, I really like the feel of the dial as you turn it and pressing it is very easy and works well - not too easy but well designed to require enough force that you will not press it by accident. The dial is the start/stop button for all settings. There is, of course, the Pulse button too which works as you would expect. Blending and the Processor With an 1800 watt motor and the three sets of blades going at once, I don't imagine that this would have a hard time blending anything. It worked great for me as I was using it. I started with a quick and easy milk shake in the single serving cup. I made it very quick and easy one that tasted excellent! I just put three scoops of ice cream and a large banana in it. I used the BlendSense setting, which is the default, and before I knew it had great, very uniformly blended smoothy with no chunks of banana in it. Again, this was in the Single Serving cup which has it's own blade assembly, not the three sets up the middle like the blade for the pitcher. Something more interesting I made was an oat-nut butter in the Processor Bowl. It had oats, walnuts, coconut oil, avocado oil, cinnamon, and vanilla. This took some time because I hadn't made it before and kept needing to add more oil. At first, the oats and nuts would just get stuck along the side. So it was a lot of stop and go to push everything off the sides of the bowl. The blades do go pretty close to the side but there are four vertical bumps that come inward which I'm sure help for most things you use the processor for, but for this it gave just a bit more room for things to get stuck on the side. Like I said, adding oil definitely helped. Did it end up too oily? Not at all! The result was actually excellent. It made an uniformly ground oat-nut butter with wonderful flavor! I'll be making that again for sure! It not only taste great but was very spreadable. After making it I looked at the manual a bit and found that 1/4 cup of oil was recommended for making nut butters. I think starting with 1/4 cup of oil would have made it much easier to make. I also used the disc to grate a block of mozzarella. I just put in parts of the block down the shoot at a time, using the pusher and the "Disc" Mode setting. It went through the cheese very quickly and produced very nicely grated cheese. I was left with a few small pieces at the top but nothing that I didn't think was acceptable. The cheese was grated thinner than what I usually do with a hand grater but the size is perfect for me. I included a picture of the grated mozzarella so you can hopefully get an idea. I also used the standard pitcher to make a fruit smoothy. I used a mix of many different frozen fruits, most all together in a bag that was made for that, but with additional blueberries. Again, this didn't take long to make, I just used the BlendSense and let it do its thing. It ran the short detection and then started blending. It did its thing and finished with another uniformly blended smoothy. While there is nothing hard about doing that, I want to re-iterate that you turn the thing on and the default setting is "BlendSense". At that point all you do is press the Dial to start and then you can watch a nice timer on the screen. It is easy, I like having the timer, and the results were great each time. Summary I'm impressed by the Detect Power Kitchen System Pro. The blender is top notch as far as I can tell. The BlendSense technology is something I will probably use most if not all the time rather than the low, medium, and high settings. It's just so quick and easy. When you do need settings though, I love the button and dial combination of control. I'm not sure I would love it except that the screen is so good! Not just the text in it but you will see different colors around the outside for different settings. I was thinking the processor may be a poor quality add-on to check the box but that wasn't very capable. I feel like it worked very well and could totally be used in place of a food processor in most if not all situations. I did have a hard time cleaning the nut butter out from under the middle post, it was stuck up inside the middle post. They've made it as easy as possible by having it all well sealed but even with the rounded corners of the start inside that post, it was difficult to clean. I think that was due to the combination of how long I had to blend for the nut butter and the consistency of it that made it hard to get it out of that star inside the middle post. My only other comment on cleaning is they have a safety setup so that you need to have the lid on the pitcher or the bowl before it will run. to do that there is a mechanism that runs through the handle. In cleaning I had water get into the handle. That's a bit disappointing but, not a huge issue. It does seem to eventually dry out, at least mostly. Still, for me those are minor issues and the functions this provides as well as how well it does them make it a Blending/Food Processor system that I would totally recommend.

Powerful, Versatile, and Easy to Use
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m really impressed with the Ninja Detect Kitchen System. It’s super easy to use and delivers powerful performance as both a blender and food processor. The BlendSense technology is a fantastic feature—it automatically adjusts blending speed and time, which makes everything so convenient. For the price, it’s an excellent value. The only downsides are that it can get a bit loud while blending, and the sharp blades require careful handling. Overall, it’s a great addition to any kitchen!

Great multipurpose kitchen appliance, powerful!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s great when an appliance can do more than 1 job, thereby saving space. But as I recently learned with a new stove that has a built-in air fryer in the oven, sometimes it doesn’t live up to the hype. With the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo, having the versatility of both a blender and a food processor in one unit is a huge plus. Included are 2 containers: a 72 oz pitcher and a 64 oz bowl for the food processor, 2 chopping blades, a dough blade, and a shredding disc. Also included is a 24oz to go cup with it’s own blade, so you can make drinks on the go! The blender has BlendSense technology, it’s like AI for a blender, it can automatically detect and adjust speed and blending time. A big reason I got this blender is for my teenage son, he LOVES smoothies! He makes one pretty much every day and has gotten very proficient at making them. He uses frozen fruits, usually mangos and strawberries and fresh banana. I thought it would be interesting to see how the Ninja stacks up against the pro style blender we currently have, a 12 year old Vitamix. Over the course of the week, we made 3 smoothies with various frozen fruits, unfortunately, the results were not that great. The ingredients tend to stuck to the side of the blender jar. We had to take the jar off, shake it up, push it down with a spatula or thinning out a bit with more water (the “add water” light did not come on”). After 3 presses of the Blendsense button and more shaking, it blended smoothly. I love the light show you get with the dial while the blender is working, irreverent? Yes, but its’s still cool! Next test, we used the food processor and the dough hook to make pizza dough. It worked fine, mixed all the ingredients in “dough” mode. A feature we liked when making dough is the lid with the rubber gasket, you don’t get flower dusting all over when mixing. The suction cups held the processer in place when the dough was being mixed. The worse part of this was the cleanup, sticky dough to wash out of the dough blade and processor bowl vs a stand mixer and dough hook we would normally use. Using the food processor with the shredding disc was great, it made chopping up vegetables was a breeze. The dual sided disc is a neat feature, so smart! Overall, the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. It would’ve been nice if the recipe book had more recipes to try, although scones are mentioned, no recipes were included. It might have a minor quirk with some ingredients sticking to the side in the blender, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience and performance it offers. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and multifunctional kitchen appliance.

This Kitchen Sytem is all that I need!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Detect Kitchen System is everything that I need for my kitchen! This system has BlendSense technology. It will sense your what you put into the Power Blender or Power Food Processor bowl (fresh or frozen) automatically. This Kitchen set comes with a Power Blender, Power Food Processor bowl, and a single serve cup that includes a spout lid. Each device has it's own accessories. The blender has the pitcher lid, and Ninja Detect Crushing and Chopping blade. The Power Food Processor bowl has the chopping blade assemble, dough blade, disc spindle, feed chute/pusher, and reversible slicing shredding disc. The single serve cup will definitely be the most used out of the three for my morning healthy smoothies. You will also receive the user manual with several recipes. This Kitchen System shipped in a large box. Be careful unboxing the blades as they are very sharp. I received a tiny cut placing the blades into the dishwasher. The blender crushed ice in seconds. The food processor worked great chopping onions and celery. My morning smoothie which includes chia seeds was very well mixed. Highly recommend this Kitchen System.

Great combo unit to get anything you need blended
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So admittedly I probably have two blenders, a couple of the cup type blenders, and a food processor that I felt a sigh of relief when I could replace all of them with this singular setup. Having the single base means I can put it in an out of the way corner of my countertop and simply slot in whatever blending device I want to use. The bottom of the blending unit has suction cup feet which prevents any tipping when I'm going a little crazy with the contents. (Key tip: The handle of the blending attachments faces towards you when you set it on the base and then turns to the left to lock.) Overall, it's a great setup. The three blending attachments I keep in a cupboard underneath, the main blending unit on the counter so I don't have to drag it in and out. Each of the attachment pieces has a separated blade so you can easily clean it in the dishwasher and never have to worry about running a brush down into a blender jar with the blades at the bottom. Performance was on par with my best blender and I was able to quickly whip up my standard smoothie with ice cubes and even tested crushing ice into a snow-cone like consistency. Power was definitely sufficient to power through the ice and the blendsense detection worked pretty well to determine how I might want my contents blended. I did appreciate the capability to switch over to manual mode though just in case I wanted to do things a little differently.

Takes the guess work out of how long to blend things using the Blendsense option. Very powerful! I haven’t had any issues. I have previously had the Ninja blender but this is a whole new level of gadget. I definitely recommend everyone to buy it. Worth every penny!

Great blender and processor
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really great blender and food processor. The blend sense works really well and eliminates chunks from smoothies. I really love the food processor as well, especially the plate that cuts potatoes and onion slices so quickly and efficiently. The only downside is it only comes with a single individual cup, whereas every other ninja set I've purchased in the past has had two... and it's much bigger than the older models so I can't use the old cups with it.

Have yet to use the food processor piece but coming soon with the holidays approaching. Highly recommend the Blend-sense over the auto IQ in the ninja technology. Blends everything perfectly.

A well thought out Kitchen System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve have used blenders for many years. Food processors? Not so much. This is why I selected this Kitchen System, and did so without any preconceived notion of what I would need feature-wise. That said, this thing is pretty impressive. BlendSense technology, for sure, because it senses the ingredients you’re using and makes intelligent adjustments to speed and time to ensure they are blended properly. This system as a whole has a variety of functions that do chopping, shredding, slicing, and blending. And, it also kneads dough. Its list of features/parts include: • 1800 peak watt motor • 24 oz single-serve cup with lid • 64 oz Food Processor blow with Feed Chute Lid • 72 oz pitcher with high performance blades (Total Crushing & Chopping Blade) and lid • Reversible Slicing/Shredding Disc • Chopping Blade • Dough Blade • The containers, Blades, and Lids are top-rack dishwasher safe With full-disclosure, I started using this system without doing much advanced reading. So, when I stumbled on the ‘Add Liquid Alert” message (it’s found on the dial), I decided to stop making my smoothie and actually read the information booklet. Turns out, I wasn’t doing anything wrong; I just needed to add more fluids to the drink to ensure a good result. And the smoothie came out quite well. My smoothies would usually be so frozen that I would have to leave it sitting out for it to warm up. Not this time though. One nice thing about BlendSense is that it automatically stops blending when it believes the blending process is finished. You can, however, manually stop the blending process simply by pressing the Start/Stop button though. While I’m used to pressing a Start/Stop button when preparing a smoothie, this ‘hands-off-I’ll-determine-when-its-done’ technology takes the trial and error out of making them. Crushing ice is another blender function that I’m an expert at. Doing so is generally loud, and that hasn’t changed much with this system. The system does a very nice job of chopping food items, and can perform a Large Chop, Small Chop, and Mince. I tried this out with a number of different vegetables, the latest victim being an onion. The resulting difference between a Large Chop and Small Chop was obvious. I also chopped up some cucumbers and minced some red peppers. All went quite well. Although I’m a newbie when it comes to kitchen tools, I’m having a blast trying the options and attempting to diversify my cooking style. So, color me impressed with this system. As an important note, remember that the cutting blades are extremely sharp, so due care should be taken any time they are used. I am very pleased with this system and will be giving it a 5-star rating.

Be a Ninja Pro with this Kitchen System Combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm beyond impressed with this Ninja Detect Kitchen System Power Blender + Processor Pro bundle. There's really nothing negative I can say about it. I've used many different brands of blenders over the years, and none were as intuitive and pleasing to use as this Ninja Detect was. What really piqued my interest the most was this Ninja's 'BlendSense Technology.' I wanted to find out if that worked as advertised. In a word, yes, yes it does! It's really amazing, and makes using this blender so much fun. This Ninja auto detects what type of ingredients are in the blender, and "adjusts the time speed and power" necessary to best get your desired results. And the digital mode display is easy-to-read at a glance. Of course, you can also use the Manual Program setting to control the speed and length of a blending cycle; if that's more your style. Included with this Kitchen System, is a 24oz. single-serve cup you can use to blend your drinks or smoothies directly into a portable travel type container. Love it! Both the 72oz. blender itself and the single-serve cup are made of exceptionally heavy duty plastic. The blender's handle is sturdy and offers a sure grip. I like that the lid locks securely in place, which is a great safety feature. There's also a detailed Owner's Guide, along with a handy booklet of '10 Quick & Easy Recipes.' I always appreciate when home appliances include this type of "bonus." It makes trying something new and getting right into using the device, all that much more rewarding. And, according to the recipe book, you can even make dough with this blender. So cool! It's super convenient being able to prep with the included 8-cup Food Processor, and then continue food preparation using the Power Blender. My 'go-to' favorite strawberry banana smoothie was delicious. And my husband had a blast creating his "world famous" salsa from start-to-finish using this Ninja Kitchen System. I have to admit, I just enjoy crushing ice. And this Ninja can definitely handle it, where some of my other blenders could not. As for how loud this blender gets ... no more than what you'd expect. *Remember: DO read over the included Safety Instructions. Those blades are sharp! So, do I recommend this Ninja Detect Kitchen System? With a resounding YES I most certainly do! The price is more than fair for what you get, the build quality is there, and as far as versatility goes ... this Power Blender + Processor Pro combo, gives you so many options.

Excellent Upgrade
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the box is the motor base, 72oz pitcher with chopping blade, food processor bowl that has a feed chute lid with chopping blade/dough blade/slice-shred disc with disc spindle and a 24oz single serve cup, owners guide with recipes, drink recipe and safety instructions. First let me say that I currently have the previous Ninja Kitchen System Pro with the same basic system except my old system has an additional bowl for making vegetable pasta. With that being said, I am so GRATEFUL for the update! First Impression - I LOVE the slimmer motor base and I also love that more pieces fit into the wide bowl as opposed to having 4 separate bowl attachments. This system still has the suction cup base so that when mixing or chopping, the base doesn’t move. I love the new BlendSense Technology. When you look at the photo, it looks like it will be a challenge but this system actually takes out the guess work; you place the attachment on the base, select the BlendSense then press the round button and the BlendSense does the rest. Beware, when you choose the BlendSense, it will sense what is in the bowl and then after about 5 seconds, it will do its thing and mix what is in the bowl. So far, it has been pretty accurate for what I want it do. I put the ingredients in, press the BlendSense button and I can multitask and do something else and I LOVE that. I also want to mention the chop, mince setting on the manual button, I am so glad that this was added and it works great! (Before-on the older model, to get the right sized chopping, I would have to press the button multiple times to get the right chopped vegetables or fruits.) The only con so far that I do not like is the opening on the wide bowl; I wish it were a little bit bigger. When you want to use the dough setting, you may have a hard time inserting the ingredients. Also, if you want to use the slicer, depending on the item you are slicing, you may have to trim it down to fit in the hole. I am so glad that I got this upgrade and now that there are more actions to use, I will definitely be using this machine even more than I already use my previous one! I am so glad that I can pass on my old system and save a little space in my pantry for this new one and my counter top has little more space now. (I also wanted to add that the older version food processor, pitcher and spiralizer does not fit on this system.) Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family!

AWESOME BLENDER!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by miles the best blender I’ve ever had. I’m so excited I bought it. It’s such a beautiful and efficient blender and works exceptionally well, especially when it’s on “Blendsense”. It’s so worth the price. I hope it last longer than my previous ones.
