It is good coffee machine but the espresso doesn’t come out to be hot. Its kinda warm-hot and not hot-hot. Otherwise a good cute machine. It uses Nespresso original capsules only.

Great everyday use coffee maker. The measuring cup has suggested servings which is a nice reminder on how much coffee to use depending on how much you want to make.

THE BREAKDOWN: This Ninja Espresso and Coffee Barista system has all the tools built into one! I think it stated that; is one system, maximum versatility. This Ninja coffee system is easy to set up and use. I love the delay feature where you can set it up to brew at a specific time with the type and how much. This saves a lot of time in the morning preparing coffee for my wife and me. We switch between iced coffee and regular hot coffee all the time and it is easy to set up and forget about it until you smell it in the morning. This Ninja system brews two different size espresso capsules, Espresso and Lungo. I know that most of us know what an espresso shot is, so the “Lungo” which means long in Italian is a less rich with more water espresso shot that takes longer to make sometimes up to a minute. For me what would have made this machine stand out is if it had its own grinder and made espresso from that rather than purchased capsules. Alas it does have an ideal temperature of around 190 degrees, and it has a 19-bar pressure system and does make an okay espresso. It also has a used capsule storage that holds up to 20 used espresso capsules. This Ninja system also brews coffee grounds like any classic coffee maker. You can choose from 9 different brewing sizes from cup to carafe with classic or rich brew styles. This machine also makes iced coffee which is one of my wife and I’s favorite features. This system also has a fold away, built in frother for those of you who like to make that silky smooth froth. PRO’s: - Easy to set up and use - Makes great coffee and iced coffee - Espresso maker with the capsule CON’s: - Wish it had its own grinder to make espresso, so you don’t have to purchase capsules SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for a device like this.

To get it out of the way 1-star is removed due to a lack of convenience in an overall all-in-one sense. I realize that moniker/term is not actually in official nomenclature of the Ninja Espresso & Cafe Barista System, but it certain advertises itself as an all-in-one and attempts to lure you in that way. What *would* make this a 5-star item? A grinder. The footprint of the system isn't that large, so adding a simple grinder to the body if one couldn't be implemented in whatever dead-space exists within the current setup means the addition of one wouldn't result in a massively countertop stealing device. Capsules are inherently wasteful, not everyone enjoys them, and with this particular offering, you are limited to only the Nescafe cups. Now, that isn't necessarily a terrible thing (as they are one of if not the best in that market) but on the other hand it means you have to have a separate grinder as most people wanting to get into this area of brewing aren't using pre-ground beans. Wrapping up my only genuine con: I would gladly pay an additional $100-$150 for the above to be implemented, even if it meant a slightly larger footprint. These are supposed to be convenience items, let's make them that top to bottom, inside and out. Ok, with all that out of the way, everything else is stellar, especially at this price-point. I have a mid-range system from a more boutique brand that costs 4x the MSRP of the Espress & Coffee Barista System, and some of the materials (plastic vs metal) on the exterior are 1:1, meaning Ninja did a more than decent job ensuring frequently touched areas are going to stand up over time. You are provided platforms and means to get your coffee fix in whatever way you desire: caraffe, mug, shot, everything has a surface that tucks away when not in use to provide the optimal interaction with the Barista System. It might not seem like much, but it helps with splashes, spills, so on and so forth. The menu and interface are beautifully minimal. The rotary knob handles most all adjustments and is extremely intuitive, even if at first you may find yourself pondering how you're going to control *everything* via this rotary/push button focal point. Read through the manual if necessary, or just start spinning and pushing things, it is extremely straight forward - you will find that it makes sense in no time. Really good coffee machine with all the bells and whistles you would expect at this price-point all the while introducing some new things to the experience, quite beautifully integrated might I add. Recommended if you are in the market and haven't upgraded your current machine in ~5+ years. If you just purchased something 1-2 years ago (that wasn't a $20 barebones drip-brewer) you might be a little underwhelmed with the experience and might want to keep an eye on Ninja in the near future for a possible improved Barista System with an integrated grinder...fingers crossed.

The initial impression I had when opening the box for the Ninja Coffee/Espresso maker was it appeared to have a lot of attachments such as the pod ejection box (for the espresso side), water tanks etc.. But as I began to use the device to brew both Coffee and Espresso there were some things I liked and some things I did not, listed below: Pros Clean looking device, is not an eye sore appliance that sits on the counter like some of its competitors in this area. Many brew options, you can choose to brew small cups up to a full pot of coffee which was a neat feature compared to the standard "full pot or none" approach. Its straightforward use was refreshing to see as it appeared complicated at first blush, once you've figured out the capabilities of the device (which are minimal) it was pretty straight forward. The options on the front of the unit are pretty clear and direct, does not leave a lot of room for confusion, such as brewing a cup or a full pot of coffee etc. Brewing does not take an eternity like some others, pretty speedy for the most part. Negatives Instructions are fairly unclear, they do not provide feedback on if there is a grinder for the beans or list of the full features of the unit. There was assumptions made based on the name and picture of the unit. The espresso component only takes a specific Nespresso style pod. I was hoping to move away from pods to save some money, but buying brand specific pods does not achieve this goal. Not a huge deal breaker but more of a nuisance. This does not come with a re-usable filter for the Coffee side of the unit. Overall the coffee maker's quality is good, it does brew faster than some traditional drip-style coffee makers, however, this is the best feature, it's a really good drip style coffee maker but nothing more. The espresso side of the unit is disappointing due to the requirement that I must use a specific branded pod and cannot take beans for that side of the process.

After three tries with the Nespresso electrical issues each time. Kept having to reset to get the red and green light to turn off then it just quit ,it came with frother . we gave up and traded for the ninja . We have two ninja products and they are both ten years old amd still working . I like this one because you can use the ‘ tiny pods’ to make a single cup or the whole pot , which again YOU can actually dial how much you want to brew from 8 oz to 30 plus oz. . I love the frother on the side !! Except I missed the frother that came with my Nespresso because it frothed it while heating at the same time . This froths cold milk etc and stays cold . I just put it in first and temper while pouring the hot coffee over it . All in all we really like it . Three months old so far !

So far this is a great product, I’ve been using it for about 2 months. Good quality, I like the water tank and the different portion options. I really like you can close off the drip, but I have still had it leak when I do that, so probably not meant to use during the full brewing stage.

Ahhhh coffee tastes great again!!! This model makes the best aroma and taste in coffee of any of the newer versions I have tried. I was using a coffee pot from this manufacturer already and it was only a couple of months old but I have had it in storage for about a year. The only reason it doesn’t get a super 5 stars is because the pod side smashes a pod occasionally so that’s the only bad thing I have found. Every time I start using a new coffee machine I definitely have a fear that it won’t be as good as my previous machine but this ninja does not disappoint.

This is a great machine. It brews coffee well, and the espresso is fantastic. It’s probably already paid for itself in drinks I’ve made at home. There are a few things that keep me from giving it a 5-star rating. First off, the frother. There’s no reason it has to be attached to the machine. It’s easy to clean but a completely detachable one would have been amazing rather than having to stand over the machine and hold the button down. Second, why do they insist on operating on a “half carafe”, “3/4 carafe”, etc brewing measurement? Just go by cups like every coffee does and we can avoid the awful conversion chart included in the instructions. Lastly if you’re brewing 3/4 to a full carafe of coffee the grinds will begin to overflow out of the basket. This has happened with the paper filters and the metal one we purchased separately. They’ve never made it into the carafe, or outside the machine, but it does result in some additional cleanup.

We love this coffee maker for its versatility. He likes espresso and lattes and I like coffee. I like that I can make a pot of coffee if we have company but easily make just a cup for myself too. We found it really helpful to watch YouTube review videos to fully understand how to use it.

Love the coffee maker. However, the cheaper one comes with a reusable filter for $169.00. For $250.00 bucks it should come with one. Besides that loving it. I can now make and entire pot of coffee that will last me all day.

We love this coffee maker and Nespresso combo! The coffee and espresso is delicious! The only reason I gave it one less star is because the temperature that it brings out it's not as hot as the hot plate warms the coffee. The hot plate makes it nice and hot but when your pot is empty you have to remember to turn the hot plate off. Something about that feature I think there could be an improvement but the coffee the speed of making the coffee the flavor the ease of using the Nespresso capsules and all of that is absolutely wonderful!

Makes good coffee and espresso/lattes. I really like the different brew strengths for the coffee/espresso. Only negative things are the carafe could be designed better, water gets under the rim when washing and you have to turn it over to get it completely dried and would’ve like for the frother to be able to heat the milk.
