Originally bought this specific blender because it has a tall blade. I figured it'll be easier to use and blend to a very smooth puree. Well i only used it once to make salsa. It did not puree or blended it to my desired consistency. It left large chunks of garlic. That's the main reason I returned it. Since, I mostly use the blender to make salsas. Maybe this happened because it does not have a blade at the very bottom. How ever, I think the blender would be great to make ice/fruit smoothies or slushies. The IQ function is great. Also, i really enjoyed being able to pour the salsa out without making a mess.

I mostly make protein shakes with lots of ice to make it like a milkshake. My old Oster did a wonderful job of this. I thought that with all the rave reviews and the three blades, this would be a great replacement for my worn-out Oster. It does do a decent job with smoothies and other forms of food mastication, but for making a smooth milkshake product it just doesn't do well. I put it away, because I had it too long to return it, but bought a simple Oster like my old one. Now I'm back in the shake business again. I'm not sure about the future of the Ninja. As far as recommending it, that would depend on your intended use.

I bought this blender specifically to make smoothies with frozen fruit and spinach. I regularly get chunks of frozen fruit that we’re not blended up and it throws the spinach to the top of the blender and just splatters it around. I have to use a spatula to scrape down the inside of the blender every single time. Water also collects in the lid so when you take the lid off it drips into the blender. I am not impressed.

I bought this blender at the store 1 hour ago. The store does not allow you to open the box and check everything carefully. There are small cracks and scratches on the jug. I bought a new blender, sold used as a new one.

I got this because i have a smaller ninja for smoothies and its very powerful. Unfortunately this one didnt blend my salsas well. I returned it and ill keep using my old one.

Not a big fan of the automatic feature, however the blender is super fast

I bought this blender as a back up to my Vitamix, but even with it's fantastic price, I had to return it. The problem is that this isn't really a blender, it's more like a food processor. It's fine if you make smoothies with only fruit and powders and butters, but forget about adding leafy greens, because you'll end up with a chunky smoothie. I like making raw soups with lots of fresh spinach and basil and oregano, and no matter how long I blended, my soup never came out smooth.

Too big too much cleaning too much to put up with i dont like that all the blades fall out when i simply pour

I’m not to crazy about how hard it is to get on and off and it’s hard to clean

This blender is not as powerful as I thought it would be. We used it to make smoothies and we had to stop and stir several times to get all the ingredients to blend properly. I thought the multiple blades being at different heights would make a difference, but it didn’t.

Not the best for healthy smoothies because of the blade design. Seeds like flax and chia will never get truly pulverized that much, just twirled and thrown to the side of the blender. But if you’re making cocktails, alcoholic and non, it will do the trick just right.

The ninja is great but it broke twice and I had to get 2 new ones within a week and a half of getting it. I promise I read the instruction manual.

Works for some things struggles with blending other items will be purchasing another blender for milkshake’s and what not

Good blender just have issue with plastic letting water leak in the sealed parts of handle aside from that it’s a good product

Well it gets most of the job done for super smooth sauces or smoothies. It's not the best

This blender blends amazing but i cant give it a 5 stars because water goes inside the handle. I decided to return it after seeing reviews on other sites claiming it gets mold.

It is a great blender with multiple functions. The "ice cream" function doesn't work anymore it broke pretty quickly. It would whip up your drink mix into a thick beverage. Other functions still work fine. May have to use manufacters warranty to fix the "ice cream" feature.

I needed a blender that will make a thick smoothie using frozen fruit to make acai bowls. However, I wasn’t too satisfied with the results.

Not easy to wash, leaves big chunks if not blended multiple times.

This blender has given me the blues. It starts to heat up quickly and it has a weird smell as well. Maybe it's just mine but I won't buy this again.
