We do not use the steam option, you should not use plastic to steam veggies. There is no information about the type of plastic, etc, so we just do not use it.

Good rice cooker, bad interface

My one complaint is that the interface does not make it clear how long the cooker will go for or how much time is left. The user manual includes a guide on settings and cook times, so I’ve just ended up using my phone timer instead. Still a good product and I would recommend this to a friend.

For the price, you are getting a decent rice cooker
