Great Phone Set, But NOT for the "Techniphobe"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As many have previously described, this phone is NOT for the "techniphobe" or faint of heart. There is much programming and referencing the Owners Manual during the initial setup. You will also need to keep the Owners Manual handy, as there may be times that you want to change some settings. Unlike other less functional phones, this one does not have an easy to use menu system to select and deselect options. Instead you must enter specific codes, listed only in the manual, to change the options (i.e., programming the phone). That said, this phone is feature rich. I have had other Panasonic phones in the past, including my last ones which were also DECT 6.0 (KX-TG9333), and this compares very well. I had to replace the previous set, as I am now working solely out of my home office, and needed a corded phone with speaker phone option so I would not be reliant on a battery powered handset that lasted only an hour or so per charge. (I was constantly on conference calls, using the speakerphone portion of the older handsets, and having to use two or three handsets to get through the day.) An added bonus of this phone was the ability to also pair a Bluetooth headset to the base, which also gives clarity (compared to the speakerphone) to the conference calls as well as cordless convenience. Once paired, switching from the Bluetooth headset and base unit is as easy as pressing a button on the base to use the speakerphone (or headset) or simply picking up the corded handset. Calls sound as good as I would expect. The corded and cordless handsets are great. The speakerphone quality depends on how close the speaking person is to the phone (base or cordless handset), yet it is very good for the most part; I would not expect anything different in a phone kit in this price range. One thing to note about the base unit speakerphone: The mic is hidden on the underside of the base, just to the right of the speakerphone button (refer to #6 on page 12 of the owners manual); this area must not be blocked or else the mic will be useless. Not exactly the best location for the mic. I am currently using this phone with Vonage as my VoIP provider. I get notified when there are messages awaiting to be heard in the Vonage phonemail on the base unit and cordless handset screens. Programming the Vonage phonemail access number was not difficult (it was more difficult finding the number in the first place, as I had forgotten what it was -- "*123"), so now I can access my mailbox with a single button press when there are messages. I cannot talk to the pairing of cell phones to the base/handsets, as that function is not one I plan to use. But it does look interesting for some people. Although Panasonic specifies using two (2) AAA NiMH batteries as optional in the base, I highly recommend using them, as they will be used during a power outage, giving the phone up to 7 hours of use (depending on power saving mode set). I also am unsure if the settings would be preserved during a prolonged power outage without the backup batteries.

Great House Phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this new Panasonic phone system for my house! It was easy to set up and has many features, a great one being that it connects to my cell phone. So, when the phone rings, even if I'm not by my cell, I can reach for the Panasonic handset and answer my call! Also, all my cell contacts easily downloaded to the home unit! It's got a larger screen to read for caller ID and the ring volume is loud enough for my hearing impaired daughter to hear. It also has a nice speaker phone feature that she can use, too. The unit came with the base unit (corded) and 2 additional cordless units. Both cordless units have the speaker phone button. You're also able to purchase more cordless units to add to your system, but for my family, the 3 total units are all that we need. I'm 100% satisfied with this phone!

Good sound, excellent display, lots of options
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to read black #'s and letters on large and bright white background, stays lit long enough to read! Call Block easy and effective. Labeled buttons for every function on base unit, and clear instructionns on the handsets too. Caller ID list and Phone Book directory with lots of memory. Able to sync to cell phone, so shortcuts available if we want to transfer calls. Great range on wireless handsets, good sound on speaker phone function too. Great phone!

Very good phone, excellent value, Many Features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent corded-cordless combination, with two cordless handsets. Sound quality: very good Range: very good Can pair with two mobile phones - a convenient feature. Equally important is its ability to pair with a Bluetooth head phone - great hands-free feature. The base as well as the cordless handsets have speaker phones - another very practical feature. Many features and instructions can be complicated for a non-techie. One can ignore some of those features. However, pairing cell phones and Bluetooth is easy for anyone with even a basic knowledge of technology.

Duplex Speakerphone Was My Key
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We talk to our kids frequently, and always use the speakerphone. Most consumer phones only allow one party to speak at a time, which results in frequent missed words and confusion. With duplex, the conversation is much more normal, which is why it is common in business telephones. VTech promotes this feature for consumers, but Panasonic does not. When I found it almost by accident, I went with Panasonic because they are so often the top rated units. So far so good. The duplex speakerphones on both the corded unit and wireless handsets work perfectly, and we love a lot of the other features also, especially call blocking and the intercom. My only negative so far is the lack of a backlight on the display when the phone is not in use, but that's not much of an annoyance. I definitely would buy again.

Full featured telephone system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the perfect phone system for people with a cellphone or two that they don't want to carry around the home. You can leave the cellphone on charge and answer your calls using the portable phones. You can also conference an incoming call with people you are talking to using your landline. The phones have good fidelity and they have a speakerphone feature for hands-free conversations. The system uses NiMH AAA batteries which are rechargeable and reasonably priced to replace when they wear out. I wish six batteries were included instead of the four included in the package. The base unit used two batteries as a backup power source. This is why I gave four instead of five stars.

Very handy phone - can use for wireless only
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have our landline plus 2 wireless lines connected, but you can use if you only have wireless lines. My husband likes the base set, which is on his desk. We have 2 cord free phones 1 by bed and 1 in kitchen. This allows us to leave our cell phones charging at night - I like to leave mine with my purse - or I will forget it. They all have speakerphone and intercom. You can store your contacts from your cell phone.

Excellent System
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.During a recent power outage my existing cordless system was useless. I then started a search for a system that could provide service in the absence of electricity. This unit provides for a base unit battery install as a power backup. You can insert 2 AAA batteries into the base unit for temporary use. Or use rechargeable Ni-MH batteries for ongoing security in the bas unit similar to the handsets. Another interesting feature is the ability to link the base unit and cellular phone via BT to make and/or answer cellular calls on the phone set. There is BT capability for hands free using a headset. Sound quality is very good on both the base unit and hand sets. Just some of the positive features.

A phone for everyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this phone system, I can see the numbers and read the caller I’d. The speakerphone is for my office and the cordless phones are in my livingroom and bedroom. It also links with your cell so you never miss a call. I can hear the conversation as if I was talking with someone in the same room.

Good phone with nice call quality.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wireless handsets have good voice quality. Wired handset on base is good as is expected. Bluetooth pairing to cell phones is very convenient and pairing to a Bluetooth headset works well. I do a lot of conference calls from my home office so this is a must. You can also do wired headset from the wireless handsets, but strangely not the base. Speakerphone is good for the price.

Very solid choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone system is easy to set up and works well. The manual details a number of functions not immediately obvious, but you can be up and running in just five to ten minutes without reading it. Easy to sync with up to two mobile phones via Bluetooth, the KX-TGF382 even rings with the cell's ring tone. My only gripe? The clock of the phone and its handsets tends to stay a minute behind what the cellphone indicates. With its good, easy-to-read display and keyboard, built-in answering system and flawless functionality, what's not to like?

Pretty good home office phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the bluetooth connectivity option to a pair of cell phones and also to a wireless headset. The speakerphone is clear and pretty good. I used this for a while as my home office phone via a land line as cell reception at my home was not good. Eventually after I moved I gave the unit to a family member, who uses it regularly and likes the voice quality on it.

Love this set!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work out of a home office and purchased this phone set after reading reviews on a few. It works extremely well and has a lot of features. The reception is great, I use the phone outside all the time, and the other end comes in clear and loud. I love the call blocker feature as I get so many solicitors so it's nice to hit the block button when I see them coming through and then never have to hear from them again. The call also has call waiting, call forwarding and is bluetooth ready, although I'll admit I haven't used that feature yet. Overall, great phone that I hope lasts a long time!

Perfect for my needs.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know it is just a phone but works and looks excellent. The Call Block feature sold it for me. I also like the base (old school) handset as I spend multiple hours a week on long winded conference calls. Nice quality and price from Panasonic. It is my first Panasonic home office phone in years. The Bluetooth to my cell is a nice feature as well as I now don't miss calls/texts, etc. as I can put my cell phone in the better reception area.

Expands my network
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone worked exactly as described. The set up was easy. Just follow the directions. I now can be working in my home office and not miss calls when my cell is upstairs. I also like that it notifies me of text messages. I may replace my other home phone and extensions with additional handsets connected to this one for even wider coverage. I do not use the answering machine as my main phone does that. I like using the speaker phone function on the base unit to take cell calls while in my office. It is very clear to those I am talking to.

Good phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this system for the Bluetooth connection. I need to use my Bluetooth earphones when using my landline as I have trouble hearing and found this was my best option at a reasonable price. The earphones connect perfectly to the main base unit and sound is good. I tried connecting to one of the handsets and had trouble with the connection, however I haven't tried troubleshooting yet. As for the system and handsets I like it better than my AT&T handsets I had been using.
