These phones are decent I suppose. They serve their purpose. The only issue that we continue to have is if I’m on line one, and someone calls in on line 2 you can hear everything that’s being said on line 1 during the call. It’s like the lines get crossed. We’ve also noticed a ton of static and crackling in the calls that we never had on the other phones prior to these.

Speakerphone is scratchy and inconsistent. Swapped it out for another one and it was slightly better but not good. Worst part is that it was for my elderly mother who only uses that particular option. Huge plus is that it Bluetooth links to her cellphone so that electronic hurdle is avoided as well as phone contacts.

    Answering machine is undependable

Bought this unit for our small (veterinary) office, along with 3 handsets. Sound quality is very good and the range is impressive. We are in the country and can take the phones out to the barns and out-buildings and continue our calls, which is invaluable while a doctor is talking with a client about their goat/horse/etc. But... We get complaints from client all the time that they left messages which aren't on the answering system at all. Sometimes (after hours) we can hear a client leaving a message but then there is nothing there when we go to listen to it and return the call. Sometimes a message will show up on the answering machine that was left DAYS AGO but was not there when we play messages back each morning when we open. Needless to say, this is very disconcerting and a real problem for a doctor's office as people will call during the evening to let us know that their pet is in distress and then we don't even know they've called for a day or two. After using our first system (yes, we bought two over the last three years), I assumed that the phone was old and beat up and replaced it with a new (identical) unit a few months ago, but the new unit is doing exactly the SAME things as the old one was. Clearly, Panasonic is making a defective and poorly-designed system here. The phone itself DOES WORK, but we're going to have to get two outboard answering devices (one for each line) and turn off the internal answering system, and that's a shame. Can't recommend this phone to anyone who needs a dependable answering machine.
