This soundbar itself has very clear and loud sound. The configuration I have, is the soundbar HDMI output is connected to HDMI input on a 4k TV, and the satellite dish box is connected to the HDMI input on the soundbar. The subwoofer is sonic with lows at times and can be thunderous. But sometimes where you would expect bass, there seemed to be inconsistency with bass coming from the subwoofer. The subwoofer did not appear as if it was disconnected. It is successfully paired with the soundbar. The subwoofer is about 3 to 4 feet away from the soundbar. it just seemed like there is a threshold where if music had less, or subtle bass the bass notes output from the subwoofer sounded more like drums, or a thump, or you almost didn't hear them. I'm not sure if this could be resolved with a firmware update. If you really turned up the volume the subwoofer seemed more integrated with the sound and had more presence. The vocals are very clear, and the sound separation and effects are very defined. The sound detail is so good that there are sounds you would never expect to hear, and something you would never hear out of the speakers in the TV. You do not have to have the volume very loud to hear vocals especially. The sound is very customizable, and even the subwoofer bass can be adjusted up or down. The center and top speakers in the sound bar also have output level adjustments. The sound bar contains 8 speakers, is fairly heavy, and is a long soundbar. The soundbar, and subwoofer seem very well constructed and are very sturdy. This sound bar has optical input, 3.5mm line in Aux input, and 2 HDMI inputs. It also has Bluetooth and wireless capability. Not all soundbars have all of these inputs. This also helped me decide to purchase this soundbar because of the input capabilities. Despite observations with some inconsistency bass with the subwoofer, this is still a great sound bar system.

I really wanted to like this sound bar. It had a great aesthetic and a nice remote. Unfortunately the Bluetooth was absolutely horrible. Within 20 seconds of playing audio it would cut out and even re-pairing the Bluetooth didn’t fix the issue. The only thing that would fix it was restarting my phone and the speaker. This continued to happen every single time I’d play audio from any source, YouTube, Spotify, Facebook. Every single time the audio channel would disconnect but it would still say I was connected to Bluetooth. Avoid at all costs. I got it for 50% off and even then it’s not worth $300.

Good soundbar and good price. There is no visual indicator that volume is changing when using the remote which isn't a huge issue. However, I would have liked to see volume displayed on the bar.

Got this and returned it. The bass on it sounds like when you hear a car drive by and it’s obnoxious and thumping. Not exactly what you want when you’re watching a movie !

This sound bar is absolutely garbage! Connection problems, sound distortion, absolutely no volume! Will never buy Philips products again!
