Good voice recorder for the price, however does not include a memory card slot. The packaging clearly says it has a slot expansion on this model but none can be found. Do not get this recorder if you want expandable or removable memory.

Pros/Cons Pros: It records lectures in large rooms pretty well Its battery life is good fast type c charging Cons: WAY over priced! After 3 days, some of the paint has already chipped off!!! It says that it can be controlled via WiFi - HOWEVER it does not tell you that you need to use your mobile Phone's Hot-Spot (only way to do this)!!! No Bluetooth... Simple screen setup Can't change sound settings much. Have to use presets Feels cheaply made I'm only keeping this device since I need one now and I don't care if all the paint peels off. Also, too late for me to get my money back...

This is a very well-designed small recorder. Plenty of storage (8 gig), easy-to-read color screen, fairly intuitive operation, fine sound quality, compact, light. Transferring files to a Windows PC is just a matter of attaching the recorder to the PC via USB. It shows up as an external drive, so you can drag files easily.

I broke my Olympus voice recorder so I bought the Philips as that was the best in stock. It has plenty of features but it's very difficult to operate. I have a process of using different folders for different types of dictation. The Philips makes it much more difficult to navigate the folder structure. It's not intuitive at all. There's almost no manual. I'm still not clear on how to end a recording and start a new one. One of my criteria for a good voice recorder is to be able to navigate mostly by touch and feel. The Philips just doesn't cut it in this regard. I simply MUST be looking carefully at the screen as I'm navigating functions. There's too much information on the screen and not enough easy buttons. The bluetooth doesn't seem to really do much for me. It's faster to connect it to the computer with a USB. As far as operating it with my cell phone, it sporadically disconnects, produces lag, and it's hard to tell when the app is actually running the thing. I've thought I was recording many times when I wasn't, losing crucial thoughts. This unit is also MUCH larger than my Olympus. It doesn't fit in the pocket I normally carry my recorder in. The unit itself feels a little on the "insubstantial" side. It's too light for its size and doesn't feel as solid as the Olympus. The recordings seem to be of good quality and there is an abundance of features. I just can't really figure out how to use all the features as they require a very non-intuitive navigation that I simply can't muster while I'm driving or walking. I've decided that I'm going back to Olympus and I'll use this thing as a desperation spare.

Records voices well and is relatively easy to use for the price. I’m not the most well versed in voice recorders but I feel like it could have more features. I may be wrong though.

It was a good recorder. Once I downloaded and printed the manual, it was easy Peasy to operate. Although I couldn’t use it for what I needed (to record excessive noise coming from the apartment upstairs), it picked up everything in my surroundings. Lol I returned it but it would’ve been great if I wasn’t trying to record the noise coming through my ceiling.

This is impeccable device records excellent with many capabilities! I like the fact it records as MP3 file type. Compatible with all the new stuff that out and easy to send as attachment for those file types since smaller than standard CDMA or wav files! Love the peak LCD Vue meter readout display and the sine wave so can tell what the recording looks like in real at-time as well as playback. Built-in rechargeable battery. It's already ready to go out of the box since i had an immediate project to record. Nothing mechanical inside. All solid state and very light weight! Highly recommend to anyone for whatever the purpose desired. I caught it on sale and used my Best Buy $25 rewards certificates towards getting for under $100 bucks.

This device is sepreme. You can connect to snap dragon to transcribe and download the phillips voice tracer to store files on your phone if the mirco SD storage isn't enough. Files can be transfered to a laptop/desk top computer to store files too. The device is pretty and has clear sound. Also, the device can be proped up on a tripod for meetings. There is a insert on the back to connect to a tripod.

I have used this to record the sounds in 183 different bathrooms, and the stunning quality and clarity of the water dripping sounds, and resonance of the ceiling fans interacting with other noises, When air is in the pipes, this recorder can do the full sonic range as the faucet is used to play the whines and thumps and squeals perfectly. it is just amazing, hearing the clear recordings even evokes the exact smell of each one in a way no other voice recorder has done for me.
