    Great mid level sound bar

I'm not an audiophile, but this sound bar is definitely a step above the entry level sound bars for a good value. It has full, rich sound, solid bass and a feature for making dialogue more discernible. I recommend it for the price point I paid, about five hundred dollars. I find it a better sound than comparably priced bars. The down side is the user experience during setup and using the app is a bit clunky. Also, you can only stream pandora or their music app. I use a chromecast on the tv and cast other streaming audio to it that way.

This sound bar made a huge improvement over the previous sound bar we had. This sound bar really helps to make the voices clearer when watching TVs and movies. We have found that this makes the subtitles unnecessary in most movies, whereas before we often had to turn them on. The clarity of the sound bar is excellent, and really makes music "pop". Playing sound through a mobile device is simple to setup. The Omni utility was able to find the sound bar immediately, pair with it, and I was streaming from Spotify within minutes. Highly recommend for anyone that tends to have trouble hearing the mid-range (i.e. Vocals) in programming. As for the bass, I have seen other reviews that state it is overpowering, but I have not found that to be the case with the ability to raise and lower the subwoofer volume manually. With the dedicated center channel, it really helps, and will improve your listening experience overall.

Install and setup were very easy. The sound bar fits on my mantel under the 70" HDTV like it was designed to be there. The wireless subwoofer sounds great and the volume controls are easy to understand. One caution - the voice amplification controls can blast you out of the room when commercials come on during your favorite show. We had to back them off to save our ears. Got it on sale this past season for a good price. Sounds every bit as good as my old bose wired system.

I had been looking for a sound bar for over a year and could not find one that I thought actually sounded good without having to take out a second mortgage. The Omni SB1 was on sale during the holidays so I thought I would go listen to it. Had great service at the Magnolia store and listened to a few sound bars. I was and am impressed with the Polk Omni and continue to enjoy the improved sound. It replaced a Bose Cinemate system.

Great. Sound is great improvement over internal speakers. Excellent bass. The remote is a piece of junk. Cant believe that polk would put their name in much less send it out to customers. The sound bar and woofer are excellent.

Had purchased the curved Samsung HW-J7500. It was nice, but it is all mid-range, and to get strong sound, you have to really turn it up. It has some good power and sound at higher levels, just not impressed for the money. I went in and spoke with Sales Guy, will not put his name in, just because I mentioned brands and would not want to get him in a pickle, but he was awesome. He told me, Samsung is a TV maker, not a sound company, Polk Audio only does sound. How true that was. I absolutely love from the remote, I can turn the bass off, I can turn the treble up, so at night I am not rattling the walls. It has a dedicated center channel speaker, and great high's. My only simple complaints would be, I wish had some LED display, but setup was still a snap, and wish there were more sound options, but in all honesty, I could not be happier. It sounds great, is not as big and bulky, and this sound bar is the superior option unless you are just trying to match TV and Sound bar names. I have the 65" OLED LG, setup was a breeze and thought it was actually easier than the Samsung with the display.

The sound is awesome, just was difficult to program to the TV remote to control and then you still have to use the super small remote to adjust bass etc.

Price was right, although I was interested in the Sonos Playbar, this won out mainly due to price. It sounds good even though it's half the price!!

I reviewed a ton a higher end systems before decided to get the SB1. The floor demo in Magnolia was awesome which sealed the deal. Got it home and was blown away! Loud, deep base and love the voice volume control option. Wifi streaming is good with Spotify and other online streaming sites. My only gripe that I'm hoping Polk is working on is that there is no way to pair rear speakers for a true 5.1 experience. Not a deal breaker, but a bummer nonetheless. All in all, happy with the system for sure.

I've heard and read a lot of good things about Polk Audio's reputation for their sound products. This was my first soundbar and a my first Polk Audio purchase and I am extremely satisfied with it. I zeroed in on two products - this product (SKU - 4969800) and the MagniFi Soundbar System with 7" Wireless Active Subwoofer (SKU - 7824001), after seeing it at a friend's place. I am glad I went with this as the system's RMS is better than the other. My friend returned his and bought this after experiencing at my place. The only downside (considering we are in 2017) is that it does not have a Bluetooth connection, which was not a deal breaker for me.

I went in prepared to buy an affordably priced sound bar of another manufacturer after reading great reviews. However, the magnolia representative sold me up on quality for only $50 more than what I was already looking at and ready to purchase. The demo of both sound bars sold me for sure on this one! Well worth the little extra splurge for a sound bar that I intend to last for quite some time. And now I don't have to spend money again to upgrade from what I had planned to buy originally. Great connectivity on all devices and great sound; look forward to getting additional speakers within home. Only complaint I have is quality of the remote. Polk could definitely improve that, it appears to be on the cheap side (remote only) and the buttons can be difficult to press. I wouldn't let that steer you elsewhere though. Always room for improvements.

The sound bar and wireless subwoofer sound great. Better than previous soundbars I have purchased. The real selling point though was the wireless connectivity - like Sonos - and that broke within the first week of use. To Polk's credit they immediately sent out a new device once the failure was reported. Overall great sound but keep an eye on the "room to room capabilities.

Works as promised and provides deep and rich sound. The wifi setup was easy and use of Omni App is great. Love the separate voice control for the TV. While a bit pricey, it is worth it especially when used with other Polk Omni speakers.

This soundbar does a good job with sound for watching tv and movies. If using just for music it does an ok job so far. The play-fi system has worked without any problems. I just wish the play-fi folks would get moving on adding more music options than just pandora or songza. Adding more stations will make it more competitive with Sonos.

This system is a great way to quickly upgrade your TVs miniscule speakers. Great option for TV in a family room where you are not looking for a full theater/media room experience. I love the ability to add additional speakers to stream music via wifi. Just like Sonos... for half the price.

Great system. Handy and it allows me to play great sound out of my t.v. for movies. Together with the smaller speakers, I use wifi for continuous music throughout my house from iTunes play lists. The speed of the app response could be improved, but it is so much easier and less expensive than buying a multi zone amp and doing all the wiring. Less expensive than Sonos. Hopefully the app performance gets improved. Since buying the first system, I bought a second for the bedroom and more of the smaller speakers to provide common music everywhere. Great system and was happy for the overview from the BB salesman who helped me with it.

We paired this with our smart TV and the sound is great! You can hear every word and the bass is nice. If it's too much, you can easily adjust it with the remote control. Only downside is you really need to buy the extra speakers for around the house to hear the music in more rooms, but they aren't that much so it's do able.
