The machine works well and has a lot of different features. The built in miniature fan and Bluetooth speakers are a nice touch. One downside is that the right cup holder was badly damaged with holes in it and the console has a crack above the screen. Well, as long as the motor works, I guess…

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that your treadmill works well and that you like the fan and speakers, although we are very sorry your cup holder was badly damaged and your console has a crack above the screen. It is very uncommon to receive a unit in this form and we would like to make this right to you.

Please contact us directly at: ce@ProForm.com with the personal case ID number: 1-R100794 so we can take a closer look into this and have new parts shipped to you as soon as possible.

I wanted to get a treadmill for my garage gym and after some research decided on the Pro-Form Pro 5000. I liked it because it had a bit of decline available along with a motor that could handle regular runs and walks. All the treadmills I looked at have either iFit or JRNY (Bowflex), which I was familiar with, but wasn't sure I cared about. Best Buy delivered this on time and with abundant communication about when it would arrive. I did not pay for installation, opting to put it together with the help of my lovely wife who was better at getting some parts to go together than I was. It did take about 2-3 hours because some bolts were a bit tricky to get to. Putting on the first wheel required us to lift it off the grond slightly (we slipped a piece of wood under the main legs). The Best Buy product description said it came with a 30 day iFit trial. However, the activation card in the package said, "1-year iFit Coach Membership". After going through the registration and entering the Activation Code, I noticed in the iFit app it would expire in 30 days, not one year. I emailed two different addresses and only received an automated response from one. A week later I tried calling. After about 33 minutes on hold, I got a live person who within about 2 minutes changed my trial to 1 year. This may not be the case with all of these treadmills. As I mentioned though, I wasn't sure I cared about iFit. My plan was to watch sports or movies on the TV I already have in my garage. But after trying some of the running and walking workouts and even a strength session or two, I'm really enjoying iFit. Maybe it is the novelty or newness, but I'm really glad I have a year to check it out more. To address some of the other negative comments. Yes, the build-in fan is small and would not be effective if your workout gets you sweaty or it is warm where you have it. I put a box fan on the ground in front of me and may mount another fan up high come spring/summer. The tablet screen is not able to have Netflix or other apps on it. I prefer a TV out in front for that stuff anyway. The speakers seem sufficient to me, but I mostly use my bluetooth headphones anyway. Some said the screen is not good or their videos are low quality. I think the screen is quite nice and the videos are of great quality. I would bet the video quailty reflects the speed or quality of your internet connection and/or modem. The iFit trainers are fun, informed on both workouts and the area they are telling you about. I'm also impressed at how well the camera person does at showing the trainer and the scenery, etc. It is cool to have the incline go up and down when the terrain where the trainer is does the same. The incline really isn't fast enough to go up to 4% just for 3 or 4 stair steps, but it tries and then goes back down.

I like that the treadmill functions as expected and in certain aspects exceeds that expectation. I use it every day and so does my girlfriend and my brother in law. I dislike that the treadmill is difficult to install, though that might be the problem with most treadmills to be fair.

This is a great treadmill. Its strong, sturdy, and was easy to put together. You do need a person for a couple of things one being lifting, but other than that, i put it together myself. I love the iFit program built in, you dont have to use if you dont want just click on the manual start on top right. I actually love using ifit. It helps me engage with trainers the places they are at and keeps me wanting to do again every day. Good choice!

Proform Treadmill is wonderful, concern was the iFIT. You need to pay for iFIT membership. There was a free one-year membership, but you need to add a credit card before getting the free membership.

I don't feel the need to write reviews ever but feel compelled in this situation. Since day one we have had constant issues and have not been without some type of issue at any point in time greater than a few days. It started with a click upon each belt cycle, has altogether stopped working at one time and that leads to our current issue of a frayed belt. We have received a replacement drive roller/pulley, drive motor, storage latch, cushion, motor belt and walking belt this far. It takes on the low end 30 minutes being on hold to reach their customer support and regularly bleeds well past an hour. There are times where disconnection happens, without a call back and that is after the extensive wait time mentioned. We have had a technician out three times thus far to work on the unit and they are not able to diagnose the issue or, once gone, a new issue appears within days. We are currently waiting for the fourth visit with a non functioning machine. For this last service call we were provided with a one month wait time until they were available. With our early April purchase date I am growing worried we will easily surpass out warranty and be left with a non-functioning machine which was purchased brand new. At this stage all I want is a replacement which works, however they will only offer replacement parts coupled with long gaps to service technician arrival. I strongly encourage any prospective buyer to look toward a product and company who values your hard earned dollars and respects time you are not able to get back, rather than a non-chalant deflection until the warranty period is surpassed.

    Heaven on Earth

    Posted .

The PRO-FORM PRO 5000 treadmill has changed my life! I now enjoy exercise and can do it in the comforts of my home. First off- the set up of the treadmill is very easy and straightforward. It did not take long to set up with two people. You could possibly set it up with one person but it would definitely be a struggle. The machine itself is very well built. It is very sturdy. It folds ups which is a very nice feature and when you decide to lower it, it slowly lowers to the ground. So, need to worry about it slamming down on a child or pet. The treadmill is very quite when running. When transitioning between the incline and decline it is very smooth and quite as well. Now for ALL my favorites! The reason for heaven on earth- The treadmill comes with a large touchscreen, no need to hook it up to my little phone or iPad. The screen is also picture perfect, it is so clear, I feel as if I am actually there. The speaker system is amazing. The fan is a must, I would not have thought this a must on a treadmill but having the fan makes everything so much better. The incline of 12% and decline of -3% makes the workouts more beneficial. When running, walking, hiking on the machine it is a soft landing, no damage to my joints. The track is long so no fear of falling off or hitting the machine as I am exercising. Also, when running on the machine, it is sturdy, it feels like running on an official track outside. The PRO 5000 also comes with a 1 year iFit membership! AMAZING!! So, now when I am running on my new treadmill from the comforts of my home, I am getting workouts from professional trainers. My treadmill is increasing or decreasing speed when needed, it inclines when I am climbing up a hill in Spain or declining when I am running down the Grand Canyon. I can workout any where in the world with iFit. I also get the opportunity to gain knowledge on proper form and things to help my body as I am working out and I get to learn about the places I am visiting. Nothing could be more enjoyable! I love this machine and iFit! I love having a little bit of heaven right in my home! I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion

    Nice treadmill with many conveniences

This is a nice treadmill that really gives you an experience! Large screen, bluetooth, incline to 12% and even -3 to train downhill. I have never had a treadmill with so many functions and it is definitely life changing! It is light weight and easy to maneuver and if you are needing to use the space saving option, it's just the touch of a button for the hydraulic safety arm to slowly come down by itself. The iFit membership that comes with the treadmill is a game changer as I can be seeing the world as I'm working out. The touch screen is large and the picture is crisp and clear. This is my third treadmill and I have never had a screen so large and high tech. There are trainers that talk you through your workout as well, so this is great for beginners up to avid runners. The PRO-FORM 5000 treadmill is amazingly light and didn't take long to set up and the conveniences of this treadmill are like no other that I have had before. The PRO-FORM PRO 5000 is definitely a game changer when having the luxury of exercising in your own home. If you are just starting out or looking for an upgrade, this is a great treadmill that will give you an experience that will pass the time so quickly, your workout will be over before you know it. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Do NOT purchase ProForm, iFit, or Icon Fitness products. This treadmill lasted less than a year before the motor wore down the belt. It took approximately 3 months before a technician came to my home to diagnose the problem after multiple attempts to request service due to warranty coverage. They charge $150 just to diagnose the problem when it SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY in less than a year. After finally having diagnosis for issue, it took almost another 2 months for the same technician to revisit to complete the repair. The technician even brought his CHILD with him to my home UNANNOUNCED nor authorized.... HORRRRRRIBLE BRAND/ Company/ Product/ Customer service period. RUN FROM THIS BRAND.

This is a great treadmill. Very sturdy when you run on it. Buttons within easy reach. Screen is very large and bright. Only down side is that is stays on all the time unless you flip the power switch off after every use. Even when you take out the magnetic emergency stop, the screen stays on. Kind of a big deal, because when I use the treadmill and switched it off the day before, it takes about 45 seconds to a minute to reboot. Doesn't sound like a long time, but standing waiting for it to reboot is irritating. But this is the only flaw in my mind.

The treadmill is excellent as a machine to run on. If I have to knock it for something the touch screen is pretty laggy and takes away from the experience of using iFit. That being said I purchased this to use as a normal treadmill and it does that perfectly. Speed and incline changes are responsive, the built in fan is great.

We have put off buying another treadmill after terrible luck with the last one made by this one’s competitor. We have been blown away with this treadmill. It’s all it claimed to be and then some. Price was the biggest seller. Saving $800 should get anyones attention. Free shipping and carried into the room of our choice in our house. Top that with performance beyond expectations and it’s a winner. Now the good part - my wife was dead set against another treadmill. Guess who uses this one daily! Your right - the wife. I do wish it came with a bracket for an iPad. It cost almost $100 separately. The mount is built in so I can add it later. One year of iFit which is amazing and this is just awesome. No more bad weather will be ruining our exercise.

I’m still wondering if it was a good purchase, I like the iFit app, I use it when am exercising on my own. I put together the treadmill and had problems with a screw, I messaged ProForm support, they have not responded to me since I purchased the treadmill but they are willing to send me emails/ mail to extend the warranty. I do like the treadmill and I use it almost daily.

Seems to be a pretty good solid machine. Love the 14" display - nice and bright. Also like the selection of workouts (rivals that of another popular fit company). I'm a single girl and was able to put the machine together myself, albeit it took over a few days time, and callused hands . There were parts of the instruction book that weren't very descriptive about screws not fitting on purpose (requires extra effort), supposedly they are made to expand. Lining up the screw holes took patience! Unfortunately, after the first workout my incline stuck. Recalibration failed. Proform customer service was great in walking me through steps to try to fix....impatiently waiting for new incline wire. Disappointed machine was broke out of the box :( However, once all is fix I can tell i'm going to like the ifit programs and the treadmill (my first treadmill)

    Supportive Treadmill

Delivery/Install: One of the vertical metal pillars came in a bit scuffed up, enough for me to call to get a minor discount. Outside of that everything checked out. Opted to Install myself. Straight-forward to put together with basic tools, specially with convenient installation App to guide you along the way. Use/Comfort: Very supporting of Joints. You can see the treadmill bow down as you run or walk preventing the impact to your joints/back. Does a much better job at joint support than the treadmills at local gyms. I do wish it was adjustable to be able to mimic real road feel. Built-in App is straightforward and works without having to sign up for iFit - just hit the manual mode link to start and you can adjust incline and speed as needed and see your stats. Screen is large and bright. Annoyances: Bluetooth is strange and will not allow for streaming your phone's music to the built-in speakers. How pointless. Creeking noises from first week of use point to bad design and shouldn't be happening at this price tier. Touchscreen is not always responsive/hard to select things when running. It's as if it will not register a touch to the screen and you have to hit something very directly for it to take. A software update from the manufacturer should be able to mitigate this issue if they want to try to fix this. Overpriced. This treadmill along with many others on the market are definitely overpriced due to covid. This unit was purchased for 1200 around black friday sales but should be well under 1000. Verdict: Overall I am happy with the treadmill as it relieves joint pain and allows you to run further and get more exercise compared to treadmills I am used to at gyms.
