Razer Wolverine V3 Wireless
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I'd say this after owning the Wolverine V1 Tournament Edition but this is easily my favorite controller I've owned so far. Great auxiliary button placement and overall ergonomics, highly responsive, great feeling construction, TONS of customization options between the programmable buttons/lighting and swapable joystick variants as well as the ability to set deadzones/shape and vibration motor intensity. Surprisingly low weight for being wireless, can be used while charging, charges quickly, and can be used on either Xbox or PC with either the wireless dongle or plugged in directly by USB. This controller feels like a true upgrade to my old V1 TE and I doubt I'll be retiring it anytime soon. Having said all that, there are a couple things that annoy me about this controller. First and foremost, there is no way to know how much charge the battery has left as it simply reads as "high", "med", or "low" when you check through your Xbox or Razer Controller app. Second is that it can be hard to tell when, or even if, it's charging when plugged in as it will only flash an indication once (if charge is below ~30% an orange light will blink 4 times after it's been plugged in, if ~80% or higher a green light will blink once) and then you just have to wait, full charge from totally dead is around 3 hours. Third is the battery life, it gets around 20 hours of life but is a little dependent on how fiercely you're using it, the more intense and button mashing your game is the shorter the battery life is going to be. Last is the carry case, while I honestly love that this controller comes with one it does not properly fit the controller if you are using the tall replacement stick and also cannot comfortably accommodate the charge cord with the controller inside. Overall, I really like this controller. For all their features and capabilities I feel like the price for the wired version is pretty spot on but the wireless should be closer to $150 rather than the current $200. If you're a ragey gamer then don't waste your time with either version, of you take care of your controllers while still playing pretty intensly then this one will do great for you.

Perfect features but low quality materials
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller has a lot going for it in its mouse click buttons and super fast response times. Even wireless it hit 250hz polling rate which is more than the Xbox Elite Series 2. If you decide to go wired you will be able to reach 1000hz. Furthermore the ergonomics are very nice and the button placement is intuitive. The paddle button sin particular are the best I have ever used. The triggers are very satisfying to press when in their mouse click mode as well. I do not use the extra back buttons and they seem to be designed for claw players. Cons: There are two main cons and one is obviously price. $200 is a lot for a controller for gaming and it lacks the accessories the Elite Series 2 had such as the wireless charging doc and magnetic stick replacements. Obviously magnets may not be the best here as these are hall effect sticks and additional magnetic force may interfere. But still they could have done better than the weak plastic replacements which will wear over time which are the second con. At times I press down the left stick for sprinting and I can feel it slight turn. I am not rough with my controllers but I have a feeling these plastic attachments will wear down over time into a wobbly mess.

Best Controller; IF ONLY you could calibrate it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about the feel of this controller. The buttons, the triggers, the placement of the 6 extra buttons. The biggest (only) issue is there is no way to calibrate the Hall Effect thumbsticks. You can adjust the deadzone level from 1-5 but this causes massive deadzone, even worse that an stock (fill in the blank) controller. Playing COD,: if I set my controller to 0 and 0 in the Razer app, I have to have my thumbstick deadzone set to 2 in the controller settings. Man I want to love this controller so bad.... Its super responsive, comfortable etc. I updated to the newest firmware from Razers website that is supposed to fix this issue, still a problem. Pro controllers that are $200+ should be able to be run zero deadzone out of the box; if nothing else you should be able to calibrate where 0 is on your controller in the app. Such a disappointment. I am going to have to return and look for another option, guess I will be going to Scuff. Back to square one.

Fantastic 3rd Party Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used the Elite/Elite 2 Controllers for years and after the third one got stick drift (again), I decided it was time to look into a 3rd party controller with hall effect sticks. So far so good with this controller! I love the customizable buttons and the mechanic tactile feeling of the buttons when you click them. The controller feels comfortable in the hands for extended gaming sessions as well. My only qualm with it, and its more a personal preference and doesn't merit reducing a star, is that the controller itself is a decent bit lighter than the elite 2 controller...so it doesn't have that "premium/sturdy" feel to it and feels cheaper overall to hold....even though it costs more. But I'm hoping that with the hall effect sticks and mechanical buttons - the lifespan in this will extend beyond what the elite controllers last.

Decent but wish it was built tougher
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great controller but it does break easy from time to time I’ve had problems with the charging port wearing out fast or the joysticks just popping off the joystick under the plastic the only way I would buy this controller is with a warranty if you don’t you might be disappointed

Awesome Controller!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little hesitant about getting this controller do to the stick drift issue but Im glad I tried it myself because this is a great controller with zero deadzone. Also the back buttons are so nice too because they have a mouse click feel to them but they are non removable which I find a little disappointing.

Game changing controls
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this controller, the mouse click buttons are very responsive and the toggles are very accurate with no stick drift. It works well with games like COD and CFB25. The only thing I would change is, I would have more into interchangeable sticks because my thumbs are wide

It’s cool
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second “pro” controller. Overall, it’s a great controller. Fast and satisfying feeling to the buttons, I think the price is justified for the product. I use it with my ROG Ally and it hasn’t malfunctioned or disconnected.

Absolutely worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exactly what I expect from Razer. I've been buying their Xbox controllers since I had a 360 and this is the best one yet. The ONLY problem I have is that I wish the d-pad had individual buttons... like previous models. Not a deal breaker, but still a little annoying. Otherwise, everything about the way this controller feels is superb.

Great Controller but Awaiting the App Update
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been loving the Razer Wolverines V3 controller, it has unleashed my potential and put me at the top of every game, but it has one major drawback that is hard to ignore yet may possibly be fixed with an update by Razer. The controller comes neatly nestled in a hardshell travel case that is coated in soft fabric. It unzips to reveal the controller snuggled in place, along with two extra thumbstick caps, a short domed one and a tall concave one, and a USB wireless stick. The top lid had a sturdy mesh fabric that stores the 10ft USB-A to USB-C charging cable, which has replaceable cover caps at both ends to keep dust and grime out of the dongles. The buttons are smooth and easy to press. The mouse-like clicks are satisfying and increase my reaction time. Reaction to click is basically instantaneous which gives me a great advantage in games. The controller also has a nice color changing feature in the Razer name, which is customizable. It adds a nice touch while playing in a dark room and plays to the computer gaming experience it is taking on by adding mouse click buttons. The trigger buttons have the option to convert them from the traditional click to mouse-like click, while the back paddles only have mouse clicks. I love having these customizable back paddles, but one downside is during tense moments in gameplay my fingers accidentally hit these buttons. Of course, I don’t hold my controller using the claw grip, this is not a problem when employing that technique. The build of the controller gives it a high-quality feel. It has heft while remaining lightweight and has a good center of gravity. The hall-effect thumbsticks are perfect because I don’t have to worry about drift, and they work so well and smoothly. Also, I really appreciate the additional thumbsticks included. Personally, the dome feels more ergonomic to me and allows me to move more naturally. The controller’s rubber grip is smooth and easy on the hands during long hours of gameplay. It feels overall durable and well-made. The USB-A dongle offers 2.4 GHz connection, which, as advertised, provides an extremely fast response. After playing with basic controllers up until now, this one has immensely upped my game play. I’m constantly coming out on top in first- and third-person shooter games ever since I started using this. One issue I have found is that the controller does not show battery level on the XBOX, it states it is charging, possibly due to the dongle tricking the XBOX into thinking it is a wired connection, thus I never know where I am at with battery. The battery level is exceptional, lasting me about 2 weeks between chargers playing around 10-15hours a week. The 10ft cord is fantastic. It is made of thick, quality cord and has a rubber tie that pops on and off super easily. It gives me all the distance necessary to charge while I play without creating a trip hazard. My main gripe with this controller is that Razer has yet to add it to its Controller app. It is advertised to have customizable thumbstick sensitivity, button layout, and vibration sensitivity through the Razer Controller app, but this is option not out yet. Because of this, I am stuck for the time being with its default deadzone which is much too large for my liking. It does not even show up on my XBOX so I cannot customize it through the console either. I play aggressively, so I don’t mind a larger deadzone, but I find myself having to move the thumbstick until it hits plastic before movement occurs. So, while many aspects of this controller grant me an advantage in reaction time, this one sets me back drastically. I am eagerly awaiting an update from the app. Overall, I am impressed with this controller and loving it. Besides the few drawbacks I mentioned, it provides an amazing improvement to my reaction time and has gotten rid of some of the frustration coming from a basic controller. It is definitely still a win in my book.

Nice Controller
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting It Up Works with Xbox and Windows. This controller can be used with Bluetooth or the USB-A dongle that comes with it. I have been connecting directly to my computer via Bluetooth, so I have not needed the dongle. Charging Uses an internal lithium-ion polymer battery. Charges through a USB-C plug. Charging cord provided is a USB-A to USB-C braided-style cord that’s approximately 10 feet long. Cord has a premium build and is fairly flexible. I like the charging cord length as I can stay plugged in at my PC but have plenty of slack. Controller Build Quality Everything feels like a solid build. The controller has some heft to it, and feels nicer than a standard X-Box controller. Handles have a slightly knurled rubberized backside for grip. The storage case is nice with places for the extra thumbstick caps and a net area for the cord. The charging cord is a nice braided style as mentioned above. Even the caps for the USB ends are the soft and rubbery instead of the cheaper hard plastic. Using the Controller Size – I have larger hands and feel that the controller is a pretty good size for me. It’s a little larger than the standard Xbox controller. Buttons / Triggers – Triggers are the Razer Pro HyperTriggers which are super-fast for clicking. They have haptic vibrations to provide a response that you can feel. The action buttons (X,A,Y, and B) also have the tactile feedback. 4 mouse click back paddles have been added as well as 2 claw grip bumpers. These are in addition to the standard 4 Left/Right Top and Bottom triggers. The 6 extra buttons are customizable within the Razer Controller App. My only issue with the controller is that I have a hard time with accidentally pressing the 4 back paddles, particularly the M3 and M4 paddles. It seems that my hands want to grip the controller there, so I end up accidentally pressing those. Accurate – Hall Effect Thumbsticks prevent drift and seem to work really well. I did not notice any drift while playing. RGB – No extra RGB lighting other than the Xbox button and the Razer logo. Battery Life – Could not find information on the expected battery life. So far I am on my initial charge, so it seems to be lasting well. Conclusion I’m giving the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 4 stars. It works well for accuracy, speed, and response. The build quality is pretty nice all around. My biggest complaint is that I have a hard time not pressing the extra paddles on the back of the controller. This may take some getting used to. Overall it’s a pretty solid controller.

Comfortable , customizable and responsive
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I’ve been gaming with this razer wolverine V3 controller for a little while now and it has grown on me. It’s become my go to for Pc gaming. It was a little awkward at first because the buttons feel… spongy? Not necessarily in a bad way, but they have this squishy feel when you press on them. They have a nice click to them as well though. Anyway.. the controller is very comfortable for long gaming sessions. Usually my fingers get tired after pulling on the trigger buttons for a while, these have not fatigued my fingers at all yet the control is so ergonomic and like I’ve mentioned earlier, every button has a nice soft responsive feel to them. I also enjoy the triggers in the back, you can customize them to whatever you want to use them for. I like using them with mmo games because I can put different spells on each button. The control has a subtle RGB light that changes colors in the center. A nice touch. Battery life is excellent and I’ve only had to charge it once so far in about 2 weeks. I think this controller is one of the best I’ve ever used. It is very responsive, it has Hall effect joysticks.. so theoretically you’ll never get stick drift, and it works for both PC and Xbox. It comes with a carrying case, extra accessories. Although it is pricey, I think it’s worth the $$. Overall build quality is very good, so it should last a long time and it comes with alot of accessories. I won a tournament in rocket league the first night I play with this control. The joysticks are just so smooth.
