    Great game... but broken

This isn’t about how terrible of a game this is, it’s great and normally would be a 5 star review. However, this game is broken and how or why Rockstar hasn’t bothered to patch it or fix it is baffling to me. When you are playing Undead Nightmare, shortly after playing the NPCs heads will disappear, making shooting zombies in the head a little harder but not terrible. However, once they lose their heads the game can’t differentiate human and zombie. So let’s say your trying to save a town, the survivors you hand bullets to have heads but the ones you don’t come into contact with don’t. So once you start killing zombies, it will say clear out the undead... and it includes the humans that are shooting as well. They are marked, and the game won’t continue unless they are dead as well. Killing them is a little harder because they have guns as well, and will take off running in different directions when you attack them. If you go to far to kill them, the town will reset and you have to start all over. That’s not as bad as trying to clear a graveyard, because if they don’t have heads the game won’t register how many you’ve killed and the undead will continue to keep crawling out of the graves. The only way to actually beat these missions is to start it, talk to one of the survivors/burn the first grave and then immediately kill yourself. Once you start the mission over again, everyone has their heads and it’s business as usual. This will last about a good... 20 minutes at best before everyone loses their heads. However, what truly sucks is when your traveling and you noticed the zombies don’t have their heads. You can’t tame a mythical creature. So say you’re traveling and you see one of the 4 horses of the apocalypse. You jump on it, and it will immediately buck you off and take off. You can chase it down, jump on it numerous times and it will immediately buck you off. Also, if you do have one of the 4 horses of the apocalypse and everyone loses their heads. The horse will no longer have infinite stamina, you’ll now have to ride it like a regular horse. I currently have the fire horse, which I know when everyone lost their heads because his flames will disappear, feet are see through and of course the blue speed meter will kick in. It’s unfortunate that such a great game, is so broken. I don’t understand why it would get a rerelease without any patches.

I love the deals you can find at Best Buy! This game looks and plays like it was just released in the past year. Had it on the 360, bought this for xbox one and to gear up for Red Dead 2 this fall. Must have game if you love a great story, vast & detailed open world, excellent shooter & rpg elements. Also, great game mechanics & a TON of content. Definitely a 10/10. Another smash hit from Rockstar

I never played this back in the day and I don't get a lot of time to play games now days so I've maybe only put 5-6 hours into it, but so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm a big fan of the open world and the old west setting. I do have the occasional issue with camera angle and frustrating controls, but hey no game is perfect and it isn't enough to ruin the game. Huge plus that it works on both 360 and One.

After beating RDR2, I decided to finally go back and play the first game. Definitely makes for a unique experience knowing how the two games tie together. Unfortunately, I knew the ending already, but the story in this game is still pretty good. John Marston isn't quite as a complex a character as Arthur Morgan though. As far as gameplay, it's mostly the same as RDR2, except not quite as polished, especially on horseback. The game is showing its age a bit, but it was still fun nonetheless. Had a very Tarantino feel. I think most people who say it was better than RDR2 though are being deceived by their memories. Biggest complaint though is Undead Nightmare. There is a glitch that Rockstar never addressed, which somewhat breaks the game. You'll know it when you start seeing headless enemies. Only fix is to die or reboot. Unfortunate, because the vibe and idea is awesome. Hope they do something similar with RDR2 to redeem this.

One of the best games ever made for a great price. I used my best buy rewards points to purchase this game. I would recommend this game to anyone who plays open world games. This game was designed for the xbox 360 but is still great on the xbox one.

It might be Grand Theft Auto in the Old West, the graphics quality look a generation old (as indeed they are), and the animations of human movements downright primitive compared to today's games -- but once that spaghetti western-styled music kicks in, the grassy plains of the American West give way to the Rocky Mountains in the distance, and once the intriguing story of one man setting out to take down a criminal gang within a gun and a horse, you're golden.

While the game is starting to show its age graphically, its hard to find an open world game that is this immersive with a compelling story. Also, the addition of the DLC gives this bundle an amazing value for the hours of game play it has.

I never got a chance to play Red Dead Revolver back in the day. This is the second game in the series but can be played without ever having played the first. You won't be lost or confused at all as the storyline works all by itself. I wanted to play this game before I played the new Red Dead Redmption 2 that's coming out. Of course Best Buy had a great price for this GotY edition, so I had to get it.

This is still one of the best games I've ever played! The story is interesting, you come care for all of the characters, the gameplay is good, and it's open world so you never know what's going to happen when you're riding through the wilderness.

Red Dead Redemption (and it's zombie-themed expansion) is not only one of the best games of the Xbox 360 and PS3 generation, it is -- in my opinion -- the best content Rockstar Games have produced. It's a beautiful, sprawling spaghetti western, and a must play in time for the sequel's release in 2018.

Red Dead Redemption is a Western-themed action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. It was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in May 2010. I highly recommend getting this game, even though it’s 8 years old, it’s considered a classic.

Red Dead Redemption remains as one of my all-time favorite games, even after completing the 2nd RDR game - I like this one more (on a story level). This game has aged gracefully, it still looks amazing in 2019. While RDR 2 may have some incredible gameplay elements, Red Dead Redemption has one of the most beautifully crafted stories of all-time. Undead Nightmare is the last single player DLC that Rockstar Games ever released, and it's amazing. Some people like it more than the story mode for the base game, but I disagree. Buying this pack is a no-brainer.

This may singlehandedly be the best game I have ever played in my life. While everyone was playing call of duty and battlefield, I was playing Red Dead Redemption. I flat out gave this a 10 out of 10 for many reasons. This game arguably out does any game that Rockstar has done in the past. Not only is it a very enjoyable game, but it also has a high amount of replayability. The campaign is heartwrenching and has many activities that will take hours to complete. The achievements/trophies are also a lot of fun to complete. The campaign had me on the edge of my seat in all 3 locations being the west, Mexico, and the north. I will not spoil it for any gamers out there, but be in for a pleasant/unpleasant ending. By that I mean it may be controversial to the gaming community. Lets get into the multiplayer now. The endless hours of sandbox multiplayer a.k.a Free Roam makesthe multiplayer experience. You can meet up with friends, riot at gang hideouts, start up a posse(playgroup), and do much more. This is what most players participate in if they are just looking to have a great time. It is also a great way to discover the xp system in which you level from 1-50 and then enter legend mode(there are 5 legend modes by the way). There is also a less played multiplayer playlist that has many objectives and you may just be skilled enough to get the much sought after and awesome looking golden guns. This was all great, but my overall favorite part of Red Dead Redemption was the free co-op campaign playlist. This is not on the disc itself, but must be downloaded for FREE on either psn or xbox marketplace. I believe it has 9 missions and all of them have an awesome story line. This is also a great way to earn x.p. This game is awesome and you will get your moneys worth out of this game due to the awesome graphics, huge map, and huge amount of fun you can have with friends.
