SUMMARY: If you need a solid 4K HDR streaming content experience with the greatest range of support along with sound reinforcement over TV speakers, this is a must have. Recently purchased the Roku Streambar. Wish that I had purchased this a while ago as it completely resolves the problems I was trying to fix. I've owned a Samsung 65" NU8000 Smart TV for a few years now. While the picture quality was great, applications stability was not. Without another TV update from Samsung for quiet awhile now, I was frustrated with the idea of having to purchase a newer TV just to have stable apps and no dropouts while watching TV. Believing it was possibly the Wi-Fi that was causing the Samsung to constantly drop video from Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, Disney+ and more, I'd recently gone through a very expensive Wi-Fi upgrade. Even with the new Wi-Fi plus 1Gpbs Fiber to the home, I'd continue to have stalls, drops and generally poor experience with the Samsung Smart TV. The other problem is that I was using a Vizio soundbar connected by optical connection, so turning on the TV and then messing with the controls long enough for the speaker to startup was also a frustration. That's been completely eliminated with the addition of the Roku Streambar. Using the HDMI ARC connection on the TV, I have rock solid steaming applications from the Roku at 4K and HDR. In fact, in addition to not having the programs we are watching drop out, I'd say the picture is actually better! Sound is actually very good and quite amazing for it's size. You can see in the picture how it's much smaller than the former Vizio sound bar. It's still very loud when needed and quite clear. It is lacking in the bass, so if you are one who really needs the bass punch, you'll need to Roku Wireless Subwoofer. I'd also purchased that and it was extremely easy to pair it and place it in the room. I'll do a separate review of the subwoofer, but the combination of these two eliminates any wish the Vizio had worked better. Samsung NU8000 also supports Anyconnect+ CEC, so with that enabled, I'm able to turn on the TV as well as the Streambar with just the Roku remote. There are some features the Roku cannot control by CEC, so I do still need to keep my Samsung remote handy if I need to make display settings adjustments or select another input on the TV, but I certainly do not need to have it handy for day to day operation. With the HDMI ARC, the game console or any other sources we may select have their audio go to the Roku Streambar. Strongly recommend, especially if you need to both improve the sound of your TV and you are wishing better support than Samsung or other manufacturers smaller and less stable selection of apps.

Sounds very good. It’s very small. It’s 16 inches easy to connect and install. Very convenient and for $130 you’re getting every pennies worth

We needed better sound from our 26” Vizo kitchen counter TV. This did it. It’s not theater surround sound quality but so much better than the tinny sound from the TV speakers. Nice having Roku built in so no additional box. This replaced a small Roku box. Nice size fitting in front of the TV and not blocking the screen. It’s HDMI cable is good but our Vizo doesn’t have ARC, so each time we turn on the Roku we need to reset the HDMI from 1to 2 and back to 1 so we’ll get a picture. Not a big deal but it was frustrating until I figured it out. The optical cable didn’t help with the HDMI issue either. But we like it.

I was a huge fan of Amazon’s Firestick and how easy it was to use. During Black Friday I was going to upgrade to their 4K stick, but instead I got the Roku Streambar. I did some research before jumping in and I liked that Roku offered private listening as well as a customizable home screen. This is the first Roku product I’ve owned and I’m very happy with the purchase. The sound quality is really good! It’s a fantastic upgrade to the sound from my Samsung TV. The bass is surprisingly good for such a small package. Eventually I’m going to buy Roku’s wireless subwoofer and speakers for an added punch when watching movies. For now though the Streambar is perfect for me. I really love the fact that I only have to use one remote to turn on both the Streambar and my TV.

Bought this as an upgrade to an existing Roku Streaming Stick on an Insignia TV we have in a TV room we sometimes use. I wanted to have better sound and this allowed me to upgrade my Roku at the same time. Installation was pretty straightforward, in typical Roku fashion. I had an issue with the TV’s ARC HDMI port recognizing the Roku properly. I googled the manual and found the setting I needed to turn on and it worked right away. So for anyone having an issue with this during installation, check your TV’s settings. The sound is great. It is a huge improvement over the built-in TV speakers. Great for a room the size of this TV room. (About 12 by 12 feet.) For a large room I’d suggest a larger soundbar, but depending on your needs this may be more than sufficient. I bought a bracket to mount it to my wall mount and it looks great under my TV and puts the sound right where you’re watching. I’m a huge Roku fan and have all Roku TVs ad part of my “cord cutting”. This is a product I’d recommend to anyone wanting to upgrade their Roku experience.

Use this everyday, it has nice sound and is easy to use The only complaint is that when it's first turned on, there is a bar that comes on across the top of the screen, and shades the top of the picture. I finally found how to get rid of it by Google, and a sequence of pressing buttons on the remote to reset the Roku. (Home button 5x, Up button 1x, Rewind 2x, Fast fwd 2x) Then have to wait for it to restart and it's several minutes, but the bar is gone then!

The bottom line: If you are looking for a way to turn a computer monitor into a smart TV, the Roku Streambar may be the right solution for you. The Streambar provides sound AND the Roku interface all in one device. The Roku Streambar was the perfect solution to turn my computer monitor into a Roku smart tv AND to provide speakers for the monitor. The monitor I am using is a 27 inch Odyssey Gaming CRG5 Series LED Curved Monitor which I also purchased at Best Buy. The setup was simple. I plugged the HDMI cable from the Roku Streambar to the computer monitor. Then, I plugged the Roku power cable to the wall. Next, I setup the Roku using the Roku remote (included with the Streambar). Finally, the Streambar fits perfectly under my computer monitor (see picture). The Roku interface is very easy to use. So far Roku has most of the apps I need including: Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Spectrum Cable, Netflix, YouTube, & Disney +. One big glaring omission is that the Roku does not have an Apple Music app. Hopefully this can be resolved in the future. The video quality is fine and the Roku speakers provide good sound. You can control the Streambar speaker volume with the included Roku Remote. One downside for my setup is that the monitor I have isn’t compatible with with the Roku Remote (or maybe any remote). So I have to manually turn on and off the computer monitor or setup the monitor to turn off after non-use for a certain period. This is a small inconvenience and certainly isn’t a dealbreaker for me.

Roku Streambar was very easy to setup and sounds great. It is much smaller than a typical soundbar. We purchased it specifically to take advantage of the on-board Roku streaming software, which allowed us to move our streaming stick to another TV in the house. One minor downside was having to log in again to all our apps and it would be nice if the Roku account just transferred the info.

I have a TCL Roku TV and my main complaint was that if I put the sound level where I could hear speech clearly, I was then pounded by sound effects, way too loud and constantly having to change the sound level. With this stream bar, speech and all other sounds seem to be in sync and no more getting blasted. Also a breeze to install on a Roku TV. I am going to order another one for my other Roku TV. Highly recommend.

Yes, I took the Black Week deal and bought one I have Roku stick 4k but TV sounds like garbage and it doesn't have audio out of any kind, so this smart sound bar is just a perfect choice. Sound comes from the sound bar is much like premium 2.0 speaker Roku part is much like my current Roku stick 4k, but one distinct difference is USB port. I have USB ethernet adapter and it works with Roku sound bar and the network setup becomes much easier. Just connect to wired network and done. Remote does not have headphones jack, so you may want to use your smartphone instead. Since I used hard wire connection, initial setup with Roku app on smartphone is much painless. This speaker is a perfect hardware if you want a Roku but your TV speaker has horrible audio, or simply connect it with computer screen with HDMI in.

Definitely an upgrade from my old Roku. I love the volume and mute button on the side. I was looking for a surround sound system but the speaker on this Roku is more than enough for my medium sized bedroom. I like to play my music through it and the sound is loud and clear all the way to the living room.

The Roku Streambar Player works great. I've been using it now for about three weeks and haven't any any problems. The sound is a lot better than what comes out of the TV. I have an older TV so I had to use the optic output. Easy setup easy to use, good for cutting the cord.

I bought this because both my soundbar and Roku box were around 5 years old. I wanted to relplace the soundbar because the remote had stopped working quite a while ago. I happned to run across rhis Roku stream bar and decided to do a 2 for 1. I'm glad I did. It's a great compact fit and sounds good in my small bedroom.

It's a really tidy terrific solution. I use it with my older 1080p television. I love that I don't have to have two devices, the Roku player and and a separate speaker bar. I added the speakers and the woofer later. The woofer really adds a lot, the speakers are icing on the cake. The stream bar by itself is honestly plenty, especially in a smaller room.

I have bought 6 Rokus over the last several years and the Roku Streambar is the best . Easy direct HDMI setup gives my tv a nice sound upgrade. Everything I watch sounds better.

Quality surround sound, that is loud. Ton of free channels from around the would with + add channel button. If you have a subscription, more free channels, like basic channels through comcast or dish. Has disney +, hbo max, hulu , netflix, mgm, youtube, cinemax, showtime, many more apps to subscribe too.

after a week of research, I decided to finally pull the trigger and purchase the Roku sound bar for my 42” TV in my home office.. Roku is extremely laggy and slow to control the apps so I decided to use my fire stick and make it strictly a Dolby Atmos sound bar Sounds amazing extremely loud! Good bass & clear sound, I prefer using it as strictly a sound bar

Out of the box easy set up. It has great sound streaming just as expected
