Highly convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can stream from many devices. My smart TV, game consoles, or casting from my phone. The problem is that my smart TV interface is sluggish and dated, often times crashing. The game consoles interfere with notifications and require the controller (which I'd rather keep off to conserve battery life). Doing it from my phone works well enough but the option to cast isn't always available. I have other Roku sticks in my home and as a dedicated streaming device I've loved using it. It's quick to boot and responsive to operate. It has all the services I use readily available. The best part is that if I know what I want to watch, the voice search feature will check the catalogs of all the installed streaming apps so that I don't need to hunt through all the services to find a show or movie. The Roku service can also manage your streaming subscriptions, making it easy to see all services what you are paying for.

Good device
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used the Roku streaming device for all our TV's even the smart TV's with preloaded apps. I like the simplicity and reliability of the device. It has been compatible with all of our TV's, irrespective of brand. Probably the only thing I don't like is it seems to eat batteries. I replace batteries all-to-often and I can't figure out why. The other downside is the occasional disputes between YouTube TV and Roku over streaming rights. On two occasions the tug of war between Roku and YouTube resulted in a cessation of certain channels provided by YouTube until these disputes could be worked out. Because I stream YouTube I am wondering if in the future I would purchase ChromeCast (a Google product) so the experience was more seamless. Something to consider for those not wedded to a particular device.

Don't mess with success!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been using Roku for several years now. Bought a new LG Oled tv and needed an additional Roku device for the new TV. Works exactly as advertised and as I've experienced in the past. Only minor complaint: did not come with rechargeable battery as my previous Roku devices.

It's good but battery life issue for remote
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great UI design and easy setup for my Airbnb properties. The only issue I have is the battery life on trlhe remote. I only get able 3 months before I need to replace it. Not sure it's because its using Bluetooth instead of IR to control the device.

Roku stick
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku stick is a great product for streaming. I miss having a number pad on the remote for changing channels, and the batteries that came with the remote did not last but a little over a month…I hope that isn’t a norm. Other than those minor things I am pleased and have been recommending it to friends.

Preferred over Amazon Fire Stick
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku has. One a long way. I switched from amazon fire stick to the Roku for better battery life to be honest. The fire stick would drain batteries in 24 hours or less.

Roku remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this model because the rechargeable one I purchased prior to this one would not stay charged very long, sometimes a week, sometimes a couple day. When charge was low nothing worked. Very disappointed!!

Great 4K streaming stick
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our smart tv was no longer updating the streamable apps quickly, so we got this Roku Streaming Stick and it works great! Only issue is the batteries do not last very long.

Good but see my comments.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well but there is an issue with listening with the included headphones. If you want to watch tv while your significant other tries to sleep, you plug in the headphones to the Roku remote. When you do this, be ready to have a large amount of batteries on hand as it goes through them once or twice a week.

Great quality and easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have several Roku sticks and TVs. They all work well. The only problem is the batteries on the remotes for the Roku sticks go pretty quick compared to the Roku TV remotes.

Great for Streaming
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does exactly what it’s intended to do for streaming your services. The only downfall is it doesn’t stay on all day and I keep it on for my dogs when I’m not home. I believe it shuts off between 4-6 hrs.

Don't last all that long
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a three (3) on each of our TV's and after awhile they pretty much give out and need to be replaced. One of the units literally eats batteries, we have to change the AA batterties every three weeks. The interface is good though and they are at a good pricepoint.

Roku - Streaming Stick® 4K (2021) Streaming Device
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit works very well with one exception, the remote runs down the batteries very quickly, maybe about month or two and it's dead! I would expect the batteries to last at least a year, but no go!!

Battery eater!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this device for over a year, and I am very disappointed! It eats batteries! I bought this for my mother who is not very goodwith tech. Every day I am having to reboot this thing for her (when it freezes up) and trying to answer questions for her that I do not have the answer to! I tried moving the device and the TV; Same thing! Every other week I am replacing the batteries! Tried using longer cables so that the remote has better line of site! Same thing! Disappointing! Did I mention that it eats batteries?

Remote dies
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one I buy as I always had to move it around. I really like the stick version as it hides better than the other versions. I also enjoy that it can be connected to apple devices through airplay. However, as others have mentioned, the remote really consumes the battery and you have to replace them once a month; my solution was to avoid using the remote and use the roku app on my phone to control the tv.

Posted .Hi there, we appreciate your feedback and we're here to help. Please be aware that if you are using private listening, it will typically drain the battery on your remote faster than when not being used. As a tip, always be sure to unplug your headphones when not in use as this will help conserve your battery.
If you are not using private listening with your remote and are still experiencing issues with battery drain, we'd like to recommend an alternative power solution that may help. For example, if the USB cable from your Streaming Stick is currently connected to the USB port on your TV, we would request that you connect the USB cable directly to a wall outlet or power strip.
Additionally, please check for the latest update under your Settings menu as we believe that this has been resolved in our recent release. If you continue having trouble, don't hesitate to connect with a member of our support team directly so that we can assist. Get started here support.roku.com/contactus.
