I purchased this keyboard cover case a couple of weeks ago, and have been using it daily. I am currently using the Tab S6 with keyboard case to type this review. I have rather large hands and fingers. My hands are a little cramp, but I have no issues typing on the keyboard. The keys are responsive, and provide a crisp typing experience. The track pad is an awesome bonus! The backspace key is awakwardly sized and placed, but I have been getting used to it's placement. I was a little apprehensive towards buying this keyboard cover case after reading all of the reviews. However, I have had no issues with the kickstand falling off. I followed the installation instructions that came with the keyboard case to a T. I let the tablet remain face down for one hour prior to use after applying the kickstand. The kickstand is currently firmly attached. I have no worries of the kickstand falling off. I have not tried to remove the kickstand since installation. IMO, most people who have had issues with this case either did not install the case correctly, or consistently removed and reapplied the case. Just watch some youtube reviews and you will see people installing the case incorrectly. I believe this is an install and leave it product. Yes it can be removed. However, I think the more you remove and reinstall, the greater you increase the chance of the adhesive / suction strips failing. My only complaint about the keyboard cover case is for the price the keys should be backlit.

The keyboard works remarkably well. Samsung did an incredible job with this tablet, and the DEX mode helps turn this tablet into a mini laptop. It took me a minute to order this keyboard because I just couldn't come to terms with the asking price ($179). I understood the functionality that the keyboard would bring to the tablet, especially at the peak of the pandemic when almost everyone was learning, and working virtually, but that price was a tough pill to swallow. The keyboard cover comes in two parts. The part that houses the S-Pen, and provides the kickstand, is attached to the back via a very strong adhesive which after over a year has remained intact. The second part is the Keyboard which attaches magnetically. The magnets are pretty strong, and clicks the tablet into place when the tablet is in close proximity to it (no need for alignments).

Like every one else, I was disappointed that Samsung did not include the keyboard with the tablet, and at this price point, thought they were crazy! But Samsung knew what they were doing: to really utilize this tablet, you need a keyboard with a track pad! And no one else is providing one right now. And the alternatives that ARE available are really cheap in my opinion. As for the reliability, I've only had the keyboard for 12 days and based on that, I haven't had any problems with the back/kickstand part of the keyboard detaching or coming off. I followed the instructions: cleaned the back of the tablet, attached the kickstand and then let it set overnight. Will it hold a month or two from now? I hope so, but if not I bought another case that I could use. I haven't had any problems with the trackpad, even though the keys are small. The reason for the 3.5 stars? Well, the weight added to the tablet once adding the back kickstand is horrible. I was sooo disappointed not to be able to hold one handed anymore because it's so much heavier!! The other reason is the price! Combined, this tablet and keyboard cover is the price of a expensive laptop! And no backlit keyboard!! However, since I abhor Windows, this will have do for now.

    Does not Stick to Tablet

I really really like this cover except one very important thing.. After 2 months of using it on my tablet, the kickstand back part constantly pops off when using the kickstand. This is very, very frustrating. I have tried several tricks to get it to stick short of applying double sided gorilla tape to the back cover. Techniques tried to get this to stick? Wet warm cloth to clean back of tablet and help with microadheasion on the strip. Worked ok for a day. Alcohol to clean back of tablet and the microstrip, this worked better but for only about 3 days. Overall the look and feel of this is great. It works perfect when it sticks to the tablet. But constantly having to pick it back up, restick it to the tablet is not acceptable for the price of this accessory.. Reached out to Samsung support and they will not cover the tablet for this failure..

Excelent product, has lasted great for over 2 years. Its starting to wear out with some wear and tear on the hinges and the case has actually come off 2 times in the last 6 months but i simply just lined it back up and stuck it back on with the original adhesive and it stays on pretty well. Overall great quality for using it daily for 2+ years.

I like this keyboard. I only took a star away because in the pics you can see the base of this keyboard is starting to tear at the base where the tablet meets the keyboard. I am pretty passive with my handling of this tablet/keyboard duo but even if I wasn't, it's only been 3months 3days and it's tearing. The tearing hasn't affected the functionality of the keyboard so there that goes.

The case fell off after 1 month and best buy did not let me return it. This case attach to your tablet with a sticky magnet that does not hold! Dont waste your money on this expensive case! I've never had a case that lasted only 1 month. Poorly thought out design!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 and the case go hand in hand. You will most definitely want the keyboard case. It not only protects the Tab S6 from scratches it also is a fully functional keyboard. The keyboard magnetically snaps onto the S6, so no wires or power cables. You can also detach the keyboard from the cover. The trackpad and keys respond nicely. The built-in pocket for the S-Pen is a major plus. The kickstand can be adjusted to numerous angles. The keyboard can be customized with some shortcuts or you can use the Dex mode shortcut keys. With the keyboard case it transforms you tablet into a PC experience. When you attach the keyboard the Dex mode pops up and you are ready to go. This cover is far better with the detachable keyboard unlike the S4 cover which was bulkier since you could not remove the keyboard. No worries about spills on the keyboard, since it is spill proof.

This case is very expensive. If you're not getting it half-off when buying the tablet, then I don't recommend picking it up at full price. The case only has two good things going for itself: 1. The kickstand: It is a very sturdy and super adjustable kickstand that lets you prop up your tablet for any viewing angle. I really like it over the forced angle the Tab S4 case imposed on you. 2. Touchpad: The keyboard half has a touchpad, and that is super convenient when I don't feel like connecting a Bluetooth mouse. The top half attaches to the device by magnets. Really strong magnets. It won't fall off anytime soon. The S-Pen cover prevents the pen from inevitable falling off due to those magnets being weak so that's another plus I should have mentioned. But that's about it. The case itself does NOTHING to protect the tablet around the edges and the keyboard half does not lock in with any kind of magnets or latch so it feels very loose when you closing the case. The connector is attached to the keyboard with a flexible ribbon part which feels like it could rip easily. The keyboard is supposed to disable itself when you flip it behind the tablet but half the time that doesn't work properly and the magnets that keep it attached to the tablets are also weak so it will fall off. The Tab S4's keyboard case at least covered each corner and was much sturdier. I'm very disappointed in this case and was hoping it would provide more protection. The only reason I'm keeping it is because it was only half price and the keyboard itself is decent for typing.

Like I said I love the keyboard it slow made the buttons are all separated with a nice touch and feel and the sounding of the keyboard sounds pretty nice the trackpad works I'm just not a fan of clicking on the trackpad but everything else is fine except one thing it is a major issue for everyone that buys this keyboard cover for your tablet S6 the back side has an adhesive that sticks in the back of your tablet and I have been seeing a lot of reviews how bad that usually it comes off at Time it depends how many times you take off the back cover and put it on since I have bought this keyboard cover I have not put the back side on my tablet for one thing I am not too certain that it will hold it and I'm starting to have second thoughts of returning it and my second thing is the new tablet for the S7 is going to be coming out this year so I should just wait off and I think it's a best idea for you guys to write off for the new tablet and it will be more updated for the keyboard. This is my first time giving a 4-star rating for a Samsung brand the only reason is because the back keyboard adhesive doesn't really do its job the longer it sits on the tablet the better it is but my initial report is they should have gone with magnets just like the magic keyboard on the iPad Pro but that's just my theory I hope that's Samsung can go with something like this for the new tab S7 coming out soon. If you do decide to buy this for your tablet by all means it is a good cover keyboard for your tablet but you have to be a user that actually uses the keyboard and uses the backside for your tablet and it stands up for your tablet as all their comments I have read but some has says that it has fall off cuz they adhesive has rubbed off but I'm going to take it back and wait for the new one.

Though expensive, this is a must-have accessory for the Tab S6. Keys are a bit small but comfortable (I'm typing this review with the keyboard). The inclusion of a trackpad alone makes this a significant upgrade to my Tab S2's keyboard case. The kickstand is sturdy and wide enough for use on my lap. And the keyboard case adds very little weight to the tablet. But for this kind of money, Samsung should have made the keys backlit.

Please get this and turn your tablet into a hard-working device. Easy to use with DEX. It does not require an addition cord like the past generation devices. You can add a Bluetooth mouse but there is no need with the trackpad. You just simply can't go wrong with it and if you do concider the Geek Squad warranty so you can use it with pice of mind. Glad I ordered both the Galaxy Tab S6 and this Book cover at the same time. BUT, adhere to the back of the device when you are not going to be using it so that it has time to rest on the device and adhere correctly. You can disconncet it from the tablet from the magnet or once you close it, it will put your device on sleep mode. It does not seem to draw battery life as the S6 is amazing on battery life and I use it all day long at the office to have Netflix running the background for white noise. You will be very happy with it. It's worth the price.

    Nice Keyboard with Touchpad

Keyboard cover has a two piece back cover and keyboard. keyboard is magnetic holding the tablet, It just “Snaps” to the S6. No cables, power adaptors, nothing. Just Snap and begin. if you shake the tablet it won’t remove from tablet. Back cover has a S-Pen Holder for protecting the S-Pen. it’s very simple to open and close the cover to get a pen. Kickstand is very tight to adjust from back cover. Sometimes back cover removed from tablet. May be in future after multiple time use kickstand very easy adjust. and Quality of keyboard cover is really good. Keyboard has a touchpad. Touchpad works great. This should improve the user experience. I Noticed some noise while clicking left and right on touchpad. And two-finger gestures for scrolling and zooming worked well. Keyboard keys are very smooth. Dex mode works perfectly when keyboard connected. The shortcut keys make everything easier. Great experience using tablet with keyboard.. I received my keyboard cover the same day as my Tab S6 and adhered the keyboard right away. There were no fingerprints or dirt in the back of the Tab S6 - very clean. During the first day of use this keyboard has come off the tablet a couple of times - the adhesive is not strong enough. First time - while typing at kitchen counter, my tablet slid off the keyboard back - if I had been closer to the counter edge there would have been a fall. Second time - had my tablet on coffee table watching YouTube... not touching keyboard or tablet... the keyboard back loses adhesion. For the price, this is not acceptable. Otherwise, it functions perfectly and is very useful, offsetting the price. This major flaw drives the three-star rating.

Good - keyboard connects without Bluetooth. It just works! Good keyboard cover connects with magnets Portable flat keyboard easier than lugging around external keyboard. Trackpad useful Cover stays attached. I didn't try to remove it based on other reviews. Holder for the S Pen built in. Needs improvement $180 is expensive. got mine on sale $120 Keyboard size and placement is off so it takes practice to touch type. Your typical portable keyboards allow you to touch type easier since the spacing is closer to a normal keyboard. Trackpad is easy to touch accidentally so the curser goes everywhere. The back cover should have attached with. magnets. Suction reliability is poor if you keep breaking the seal by removing the cover on some video reviews I've seen. The instructions said attach 1 hour before using doesn't inspire confidence.

I am overall impressed with this keyboard cover. There has already been a couple of firmware updates for it that seem to have made it marginally better. I am typing this review on it right now and having zero issues with it. That being said, I am not sure I would have baught it at full price, but since I got it half off by bundling it with the Tab S6 when it first came out, I think the price was reasonable when compared to other companys on the market. I really like that it has a trackpad. There are some apps that right cliking (tapping with 2 fingers at once) doesn't work, and It would be nice if I could select text by double tapping and dragging, but that does not seem to be supported right now. Hopefully with future updates these things will work better. Hardware wise: 1. I think there was room for the keys on the keyboard to be spaced out just a little further, which would have been nice since I have larger hands, but I honestly don't hardly notice that it is smaller once I got used to it. 2. The other thing Is it would have been nice to have backlit keys, but Since I touch type, this rarly effects me. I have not had any issues with the back/kickstand portion coming loose. It seem to hold on very firmly. Not sure what I think of having something sticky on the back of my tablet, but I don't plan on taking it off any time soon, so it's probably not that big a deal. As far as recommending it, it depends on what you are going to use the tablet for mostly. If you are going to use it primarly with the keyboard go for it, but it you plan to use it like a tablet most of the time, you may want to consider something a little sturdier. You could always get a bluetooth or usbc keyboard for occasional use.

I purchased this keyboard cover in December 2019, the back cover had lots of issues (it uses an adhesive to attach to the back of the tablet to provide a kickstand, similar to the Surface Pro line of tablets that come with a built-in kickstand). The second time around I made sure I followed the instruction for installation, which include not opening the kickstand for at least 1 hour after installing. I didn't open the kickstand for 6 hours, and after 2 weeks of usage, I haven't had to detach the kickstand once. The keyboard connects with POGO pins, and latency between key presses and text on the screen is very low. The Tab S7 and S7+ keyboard cover is a much better design using magnets to attach the kickstand portion, but neither will fit the Tab S6. Overall, it's very compact and lightweight, but the keyboard wont stay shut when in a bag or backpack the way a laptop would. After all, remember it's a different form factor. This isn't a laptop. It's a tablet with a keyboard cover. But it's an excellent accessory for anyone that wants to maximize their Samsung Dex experience on this tablet.
