Samsung - CHG9 Series C49HG90DMN 49"
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This ultrawide monitor is huge, equivalent to 2 of 27 inch monitor side by side (I believe). This monitor is good for gaming with 144hz refresh rate, 1ms response time. However, it is not good for photo editing or long office work work since vertical is low at 1080. Anyway, I use this monitor mostly for gaming so I am very happy with it.

LARGER THAN LIVE.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this monitor. You do have to make sure your computer can push this thing or else don't get it. this thing truly takes up my entire desk from side to side. I can run my games with no issues and actually feels like my vision is less tired. with the curve it feels more immersive when I play. wide enough to run 3 windows at the same time with no issues. super clear and fast response time. I got it on sale so for me it was a no brainer considering that other options older or less equivalent run over 1k price tags. for the money this thing was a great buy.

Make sure you have enough video card to drive it.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did have to go through two of these due to a dot defect on the first one. Store made that easy. A second trip would have been for a refund if another bad pixel had appeared. However, it did not and all is well. Make sure you have a video card that can drive the refresh rate and the resolution. I don't have any problems at all with a 1070TI and literally everything maxed out in most games. Light video power may give unsatisfactory results. Takes a day or two to get used to that much visual real estate, but once you get used to it, you won't likely every go back to smaller monitors. This beast give you room for high end gaming, video editing, digital art, and just about anything else you can think of. Dive in and enjoy.

It is good but it's an old tech
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good monitor with really cool look and functionality. Few points: 1. It is a low resolution monitor in today's standards. So picture won't look sharp. If ur main usage is productivity, then its low res will probably cause some issues. 2. For gaming, very little games have 32:1 aspect ratio, so you will see ugly stretched image. However, for a game that supports it, it will look low res but astonshing view. It's a good monitor, there is nothing wrong about it. If you game at 1080 resolution and don't use it that much for watching movies, surfing the net or use productivity office tools, then you will definitely like it.

Beautiful Monitor, Faulty Input After 13 Months.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work from home full time, it's a beautiful monitor and works well if you need multiple windows up at the same time. It's also fun to game on, extremely immersive. This review would be 5 stars but the only full size DisplayPort input failed after only 13 months causing somewhat of a headache because my work laptop only supports DisplayPort output. I'm extremely careful with my electronics and keep them well maintained. Fortunately my personal laptop supports both DisplayPort and HDMI so I was able to swap out some cables and use the MiniDP input for my work computer, but for the price of the monitor the input shouldn't have failed after such a short time.

Ultrawide monitor with ultrabig price tag.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor for gaming. I used this for sim racing, so the refresh rate was perfect for it. Additionally, you dont need a crazy GPU to power this. While it is only 1080p, i was able to use a 2070 super to run max settings on iRacing and frame rate was rock solid. I used it for about 4 months but ended up going to triple monitors for sim racing. The only con is the price. While it has been decreasing it is still quite expensive for a 1080p monitor. In my four months of use, I only had one dead pixel and was able to fix it using one of the online dead pixel tools. Within 15 minutes it was back to normal and was otherwise problem free.

Wish it was the 5120x1440 version
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor because it was on a great deal! Kept it in the box hoping to open it up for Christmas. Unfortunately I had to return it because it wasn’t 5120 x 1440 version (my fault). So another store had a great deal on 5120 x 1440 about $150 more but it was worth it! The screen is beautiful, the curve is amazing and I don’t have to look at bezels between two screens. I use this monitor primarily for productivity, I usually have my code editor up, web application on the side, with room for email and other windows. I also do some gaming on the side literally via PBP mode. I hooked up my Audioengine speakers to it and the experience is truly amazing! I can’t still work on 27” while the other half is used for gaming. Would have left a 5 star review it was the 5120x1440 version! Other than that great monitor!

Perfect for Gamers!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this more or less on impulse for Christmas, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. The short version: bright, vibrant colors; ultra-sharp image; in short, everything you'd expect from a Samsung product. It was my first curved monitor, but replacing two single monitors the ultra-wide aspect ratio was quite nice. I don't know how many games will be able to support the 32:9 aspect ratio, but from trying a few that did, this is a MUST HAVE for gamers. Unfortunately, I had to return it after a few days--while the gaming experience was superb, I actually bought it for use in media development, and the day-to-day experience wasn't quite what I needed. Splitting one 32:9 monitor into two 16:9 monitors isn't as easy as I thought it would be--there's a program called Easy Settings Box that creates a grid for apps to "snap" to (and which includes a dual 16:9 mode), but the drawback is that it only resizes apps to take up the 16:9 space, leaves empty space around the edges--apps like Media Player still take up the whole 32:9 space in fullscreen mode.

Good for Gaming but Problems with Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Due to its size, this monitor is a conversation starter for anyone that walks into your study or bedroom. It has been great for gaming on such applications as: World of Tanks, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and Path of Exile because the games are compatible with the widescreen and give you a greater field of vision than the competition. Unfortunately, after 2 years of owning this product it did start to malfunction to the point where I had to use my Geek Squad Product Replacement service. The monitor would have lines displayed across the screen for up to 30 minutes when turned on. When it came time to choose a replacement, I actually went with the same exact monitor, so I guess I still stand behind it. I did re-purchase a new product replacement warranty just in case.

great gamer monitor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor was purchased to declutter the desktop with individual monitors; we attempted to go from 4 seperate monitors to 1 utilizing the split screen functionality; could not get 4 screens to work. Dual screens is the best we could do and the clarity of the monitor is awesome. It is categorized as a gamer monitor, after using it for a week, I certainly agree it would make a great gaming monitor. After 6 days of use it acquired a vertical pixel degradation line about mid screen that would not go away.

Wonderful Monitor -- work or games
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great monitor. You can split it into one, two, or three screens easily. You can run two computers on the same monitor splitting the two machines into 33-67% or 50-50%. When just using one computer, it is great viewing large spreadsheets. Gaming is great as well. Flight simulators give you a better / wider view.
