GREAT for productivity!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my home office. I don't game much anymore and haven't tried this monitor for this yet. Though, my teenage son is drooling over the opportunity! I've been using the monitor now for about a month and the experience has been wonderful I work with a lot of large spreadsheets consisting of a lot of columns. Excel is AMAZING with a monitor this wide. I also do a lot of multitasking and keep a lot of applications open throughout the day. I am able to see a lot of things going on at once when I don't have the screen filled with a spreadsheet. I would recommend getting a good monitor arm. First, you must have a pretty deep desk as the monitor legs will take up quite a bit of desk space. Because the monitor is large and 1080 resolution, your font is not small, which allows you to push the monitor back a good way and still be able to see it well. A monitor arm will give you much more space and allows the monitor to hoover over the desk. I put a lot of research into finding an arm strong enough to hold up a monitor that weighs nearly 30 pounds without the stand. I was able to purchase the Loctek D7L Heavy-duty Monitor Arm. It is rated up to 33 pounds and does a good job of keeping this monitor supported. It was the cheapest monitor arm I could find that would support the weight. I find the monitor to be a premium device. Some argue that a higher resolution would be better. However, I still prefer the 1080 resolution for work productivity so that I am not straining my eyes looking at small text all day. The text isn't huge either...it's just right in my opinion. This monitor is simply impressive. It makes time spent at the computer very enjoyable....especially if you like to multitask.

Best Monitor for Web Developers!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a website developer so I have (had) a lot of monitors on my desk. But this new Samsung monitor allowed me to get rid of 3 monitors and just use this one in their place - less wires. At first I was hesitant to buy this huge monitor because of the price but I gotta say, I have NO REGRETS! I absolutely LOVE working again. I can hold 4 different websites on the screen at once on this big monitor and then I use my small monitor to do my website edits. I highly recommend this product!!!!

Excellent gaming monitor
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is massive! In a good way. I am able to stream and have game on one side and chat or controls on the other. Or if I wanna run the game in ultra wide even better! It does not look stretched or anything except the desktop photo.

Great mid range Ultrawide
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For multitasking this scren can display 2 full browser pages or 4 half pages. Color accuracy and light bleed are a thing with this monitor if that bothers you. This monitor is very good for mid range setups 70 series gpu or equivent to run most games at over 100 fps. Nvidia uses displayport 1.4 so youre capped at 4k 144 unless youre using a newer Nvidia 4000 series "super" or a more recent AMD GPU card to utilize the displayport 2.1 for 280hz. Had it for a few years before i recently decided to upgrade to the oled version. Keep in mind older games were not made to be played on a wide screen resolution at 3840 x 1080 so you may have image stretching or black bars along the left and right side on certain games. The monitor itself is heavy almost like a tv i would recommend two to three people to finish the mounting especially if you are mounting to an arm. The one thing i didnt like was the stock monitor stand is bulky and takes alot of desk space.

Samsung CHG9 Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was running three screens for my work activities and was finding that for more complex projects, I needed something better and simpler at the same time. I had been looking at the Samsung CHG9 monitor as a replacement and finally bought one to see if it would work. I saw the on-line comments about needing enough desk space - which I have and the comments about light bleed, dead pixels and mysterious noises - none of which have I experienced. Right out of the box, this monitor has worked splendidly! There are a couple of points I would like to make: 1). You don't absolutely need 2 people to assemble and set up the monitor, but it would be easier with 2. 2). This is a $900 - $1000 monitor and I was hoping for a bit more ease-of-use in accessing and setting up the monitor. I understand about keeping costs low and not over-complicating things in the design, but the 'joy-stick-like' buttons for accessing the internal menus leave much to be desired. For this kind of money and technology, why couldn't you design this to take advantage of the computer and the keyboard it is attached to, to make the initial setup easier? How much extra would it cost to get rid of the menu configuration buttons and go with something a bit more straightforward? I am in the semiconductor industry so I know about design costs, and trade-offs. Why make the product with difficulty built-in when high-end compute resources sit within 3 feet of the monitor? 3). One very annoying quirk is the monitor trying to become the default for the sound system instead of the desktop speakers most people have? This is fixable with a couple of mouse clicks, but why do it in the first place. I seriously doubt that he monitor speakers will be better than most peoples' desktop speakers! Having said all of that, I would definitely recommend purchasing this monitor to others who need to become more efficient in their work by have a larger visual field to work with. I don't do any gaming on this system and use it only for work. One almost-issue is trying to right-size the windows and their placement on the screen. It takes a while to feel out the best arrangement of applications. For those that worry the screen is too large - especially at the periphery of their vision - you get used to this very quickly and I found that within one day it was not an issue for me. All-in-all, it is a well done monitor and worth the money if you are pulling charts, graphs, tables and text from multiple applications to put into a Word document like I do for business purposes.

LARGER THAN LIVE.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this monitor. You do have to make sure your computer can push this thing or else don't get it. this thing truly takes up my entire desk from side to side. I can run my games with no issues and actually feels like my vision is less tired. with the curve it feels more immersive when I play. wide enough to run 3 windows at the same time with no issues. super clear and fast response time. I got it on sale so for me it was a no brainer considering that other options older or less equivalent run over 1k price tags. for the money this thing was a great buy.

Gamer changer monitor for work and gamin
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not huge gaming person but do play Fifa so it is perfect for that and can work and play games at the same time with PBP mode. For work I can have like 6-8 things up at one time to multi-task and get more work done with less work. I would recommend this to anyone. Only thing need to buy speakers for sound. Not pricey to do but wished it came with in the monitor set up. Few of my co-workers are buying this screen for work and gaming now!

SAMSUNG 49" Curved Screen Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 49" monitor has saved me tremendous amounts of time allowing me the freedom to multitask within the same view, but without the loss of visual continuity. I use a lot of data, examining several files at once, and even play simultaneous videos in duo optical drives, due to the amount of provided support materials for my line of work or in my ongoing projects. The curved features allow me to maximize the field of view without much side-to-side activity. The screen refresh rate is actively keeping me from having a visual burn out and I work longer without optical stress. Samsung has made an excellent product on this monitor. I also other Samsung products and I cannot complain about any of them. They have been wonderful products over the years. I highly recommend this brand.

Great monitor!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this monitor. I was hesitant to buy it without seeing one in person first but I’m glad I did. Great for work. Way less eye strain than using two 27” monitors and it’s got way more screen space than the 34”-37” curved monitors, it’s easier to optimize the screen space when you have several programs open compared to dual monitors. I use it for work (land development) and I highly recommend it for people that run several programs at a time (email, auto cad, bluebeam, etc) I also purchased a screen management program for optimizing screen space. It saves a lot of time not having to adjust each program individual to fit the screen. I highly recommend this monitor.

Exactly what I hoped for
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased overall. Coming from a 28" 4K display to this was slightly jarring at first, but I'm definitely adjusting quickly. This monitor so far(four days) has been a huge improvement in my productivity. Having 2-4 programs open very comfortably all on screen at once has allowed me to be very efficient. Definitely recommend to anyone that's looking to make their screen less of a cluster of programs overlapping each other in order to have them open in a manageable and or legible way. One side note - Not a fan of the HDR on this monitor. Used it for about 40 minutes and turned it back off.

Amazing Monitor For Gaming and other
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is clear, crisp, clean. The size is even more convenient than I expected. I can open multiple programs/websites/games without ever having to cycle through multiple pages - super helpful for image editing programs or even just playing a game while watching a movie side by side. This monitor took the place of a dual setup and I couldn’t be happier. I can even widescreen most of my gaming, allowing me to see more area, with an even better refresh rate than my last monitors. Love the curved screen and its quality. I’d say the biggest downside is that it doesn’t have a remote - not that it’s hard to push a button but I just prefer the easier access of a remote. Very happy with purchase.

Perfect!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this monitor for business, not for gaming, and I will never use a smaller monitor again. I’ve had this monitor for 7 months now and I love it! I initially purchased 2 screens to get this size but I didn’t like having to change from screen to screen all the time. Being able to use one screen to see all of the windows that I have open is so much better. I should have bought one a long time ago. Very happy with this purchase!

Love the extra space
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New, but Oh My Goodness!! I never thought I might have too much monitor space, but maybe? I have this set up as my main monitor, with two 27" monitors. I'm sure I'll get used to it ... I do some light gaming, but use it more for work. I use multiple applications constantly, and hate switching around. My life just got so much easier. And I don't think even I can manage to clutter up this desktop. The price is high, but if you look at it as 2 1/2 or 3 monitors, not so bad.

Beats multiple monitors hands down!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m using the CHG9 to work remotely from home. I find it has increased my productivity and quality of work versus using the multi-monitor setup provided in the office. One HDMI plug into my laptop and I have all the monitor real estate I could ever need to complete tasks using multiple programs. I’ve had 6 windows open on this screen resulting in less time of toggling between different software/applications. I’m a tough and opinionated critic. For me to recommend a product, it takes a lot; however, I do recommend this one.

Hudge
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my son's birthday gift. He hooked it up and loved that you could literally set up like 6 screens in one monitor, so multi tasking was great. You could be watching a youtube video on one screen doing a term paper on one screen doing research on another screen and so on. The problem he ran into and the only reason we took it back was because it's not game friendly. It's not set up for the correct aspect ratio for playing a single game. So if you went to play say world of tanks yes the tanks were hudge but stretched out so they looked goofy. If I remember correctly my son said he was only able to get one game to work were it used the full screen and looked fine and it was called overwatch. He tried everything up to and including calling the companys tech support and they explained to him that there was no settings he could just click to make it work and the sole perpous of this was gaming for him. If you due decide to get it be warned you will need two people to lift it, not because of being to heavy and it is heavy it's just very awkward to lift because of the size and because its curved in.

Amazing monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is Amazing! I finally decided to buy it since it was on sale. It makes to easy to do several things at once, by having several screens open. I use it for work and school and play some games on it. The only down side is that some games don't support the screen size.
