Enjoying my purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the monitor, in fact I bought two and mounted them in a stackable configuration. However, The screen resolution is an issue with my Microsoft Surface Pro 5th gen, but not issue with a 2015 MacBook Pro. I had to purchase the latest docking station, for my Surface, in order to even get the display to work. I'm not sure how to get the audio to work on the monitors also. Overall, I'm happy with these monitors.

Affordable low teir 49'' ultra wide curved monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.49'' inches. This is a low teir model. So what your paying is brand and a ultra wide curve screen. If you want ultra wide screens for an affordable price this is for you. But for 4-6 hundred dollars more. You can get an HDR, high resolution, high refresh rate. This product isnt that great for high resolution. Its mediocre. Its in my budget so i got what i paid for and im happy with it. Side note if you want to mount it on a wall or desk stand. Make sure your joints is strong enough to hold it. This monitor is really really heavy, and i mean really heavy.

For productivity, Yes! For gaming, so so
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor has a lot of real estate, lol. However, and maybe because it is about 3 years old, the 1080P for this size of ‘49” monitor it doesn’t do too much justice for gaming. Yes it has a great refresh rate, (144Hz) and the response time is 1 ms compared to most gaming monitors, but the resolution of 3840 by 1080P For a monitor this size it simply leaves too little to be desired for gaming. For my accounting business, it is great because I can just fill a simple spreadsheet all across, but again the pixel density for this size of monitor is small again compared to competitive monitors out there. Also this monitor is HEAVY, and you may need two people and have enough space on your desk to place this behemoth of a monitor. I really love Samsung products, but on this one it didn’t have the “ WOW “ facto for me. Also for this price you could go with a 34” and at least you could get a 1440 resolution or higher. Trust me you will notice the difference in resolution.

Good for a work monitor, but not perfect
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this monitor knowing that I would be working from home more often. I disliked having bezels between the monitors and decided to get this Ultrawide. I was amazed how big and wide this monitor was out of the box. It's a little awkward in handling the monitor. I mainly chose this monitor because it has a high refresh rate and I wanted something that wasn't going to fatigue my eyes. I chose Samsung since it's a trusted name. I bought this on sale, so it was affordable compared to the others. My first impressions. The wide view is awesome, but I expected the resolution to look clearer. Keep in mind this is FHD monitor stretched to ultrawide aspect ratio. This is probably great for gaming, but respectable for work. I'm not saying this as a negative, but if you use it for work, you may want the higher resolution such as the Dell monitors. I didn't want to fork over $1200 for a monitor, so this was a decent purchase. In all, I'm pretty happy with the purchase and it has worked out for me.

Almost Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are a lot of things to like about this monitor: cables and connections for hdmi, display port, usb 1, 2, C, etc. For productivity this is a great monitor with plenty of room to view multiple apps and windows, or PIP/PBP mode. It takes a newer computer with capable graphics processing to really get the most out of this monitor. Even then, the technology built into this monitor is great, but not a lot of games, apps, software developed with these screen sizes in mind. Be prepared for black bars, and or having the sides trimmed depending on the source (computer, tablet, PS4/XBox/Switch). The 144hz/1ms couldn't be ignored, and while it performed well, the 2k ceiling led me to ultimately take it back. I've since purchased the Samsung 43" version which holds a 120 hz refresh rate, and I couldn't tell the difference meaning both were very fast response! If you need screen real estate, and more space, give the 49 a spin. It's a little on the pricey side being the newer super ultrawide, but worth it if 1080p is acceptable for your computing/gaming needs. Look elsewhere if your using this to edit video, digital design, or anything else graphic intensive.

It is good but it's an old tech
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good monitor with really cool look and functionality. Few points: 1. It is a low resolution monitor in today's standards. So picture won't look sharp. If ur main usage is productivity, then its low res will probably cause some issues. 2. For gaming, very little games have 32:1 aspect ratio, so you will see ugly stretched image. However, for a game that supports it, it will look low res but astonshing view. It's a good monitor, there is nothing wrong about it. If you game at 1080 resolution and don't use it that much for watching movies, surfing the net or use productivity office tools, then you will definitely like it.

Good but not excellent
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While a decent productivity monitor it's performance suffers from still spotty gaming support for the super ultrawide aspect ratio. HDR is barely up to spec just to get the certification. When it works it works and it's a beautiful monitor but the lack of support for the ratio and the fact that it is 1080p are it's major downsides.

Wish it was the 5120x1440 version
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor because it was on a great deal! Kept it in the box hoping to open it up for Christmas. Unfortunately I had to return it because it wasn’t 5120 x 1440 version (my fault). So another store had a great deal on 5120 x 1440 about $150 more but it was worth it! The screen is beautiful, the curve is amazing and I don’t have to look at bezels between two screens. I use this monitor primarily for productivity, I usually have my code editor up, web application on the side, with room for email and other windows. I also do some gaming on the side literally via PBP mode. I hooked up my Audioengine speakers to it and the experience is truly amazing! I can’t still work on 27” while the other half is used for gaming. Would have left a 5 star review it was the 5120x1440 version! Other than that great monitor!

Huge. No - If low pixel density bothers you
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read all reviews and thought the low vertical resolution would be fine for my needs. Went ahead and purchased it. But, it is really low. More than I expected. Videos and images are okay. But fonts would look really grainy. I am a programmer, so the 1080 vertical resolution was not up to the mark for me. Oh btw, it is big. really big size. Make sure you have enough space on your desk.

Low Resolution for Size
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this monitor with the intent on using it for work during the day, and gaming at night. Overall, I believe this display is just ok for the price. Having a ultrawide display to work on and seamlessly either open 2 or 3 windows side by side, or streatch a window the full width (think wide spreadsheets) is very handy. If you can afford the bump up in price, I would recommend the Samsung monitor with 5120x1440 resolution support. Pros: Large display (sized of 2 27" monitors side by side) FreeSync Capable Adjustable Height Stand Cons: Low resolution for the size. Samsung also sells a 2561x1440 monitor in this size, which is what I ended up going with at the end after returning this monitor. No G-Sync - Since I am running an NVIDIA Graphics card, this is a bust for such an expensive monitor

WIDE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen size is amazing and can span multiple windows for work/play etc. The biggest draw back is resolution. I have mac pro with dual cards - might as well say useless. Small screen size looks amazing- But i didn't buy for small screen size.

Expectations Exceeded
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rarely leave reviews, but this thing and it's screen real estate is amazing. Not vibrant and not clear. Does not look HD.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this is considered 4k the resolution on this size of a monitor looks blurry and the colors are not bright and sharp. The controls do not allow you to adjust it or calibrate it to make it any better. I have an Asus 28" 4k monitor that looks outstanding next to this monitor. When I have them next to each other it is the difference between standard definition old crt tube tv and a new oled tv with blue ray. This monitor is really below par for quality. Also the curve makes it even more distorted. It may be ok for low def gaming but is really bad for productivity and photos.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung 49" CHG90 Super Ultra-Wide Monitor. I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the color performance of this model.
Please know that this CHG90 QLED Gaming Monitor features support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), so dark areas are darker and bright areas are brighter. See mind-blowing detail and contrast as bright blue skies share the screen with deep shadows and silhouettes.

Very Low Quality Resolution
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned! I couldn’t deal with the quality of the resolution. It’s pretty much 1080P stretched, so it looks worse than 1080p in person. The text was very pixelated when sitting in front of it. It reminded me of the old 14” low res monitors. It looks nice and price is good, but having every other device in house house having 4K, I just couldn’t stand how bad it looked.

Not for Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a beautiful monitor! However, it is NOT for Gaming. We noticed right away the screen lags/glitches when playing PC Games. We chose to give it a fair chance and try it for a week with multiple games before we decided it wasn’t for gaming. It doesn’t live up to its Specs. The Refresh Rate isn’t true. Resolution (1080p) looks bad on this sized monitor. We adjusted & played with provided display options. The most we could milk out of this monitor was 70fps.

Cool but lacking compared to the higher tier model
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a 1080p vertical resolution screen this is a decent option. I felt that for the size of the screen to not have a vertical resolution of 1440p on the lower end model was just not acceptable. This monitor would be fine for a scheduler looking at Gantt charts and the like but if you are using it for CAD or for Gaming you will find the resolution lacking. I also did not like the 1800R curve, for the screen size the 1000R model is much more suitable and natural for viewing. I ended up returning this model and purchasing the Odyssey G9 ($1500 model). With a resolution of 5120x1440 and the 1000R curve, the Odyssey G9 blows this thing out of the water. If you are planning on spending this much on a monitor you might as well just save for another few weeks and buy the Odyssey model. In the end you will be MUCH happier with your new screen.
