||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had it for a few months and so far it sounds great. what I love the most is that I can increase the woofer and the tv doesn't move so it won't fall from the shelf. it sounds loud and great. the only thing I dislike is that at times it doesn't connect right away to the tv.

Posted .Hello DorisH,
Thank you for sharing your review of the HW-Q60C Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase.
There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your Soundbar.
Please verify that you are running the latest firmware on your Soundbar. You can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-Q60C under Q-Series.
Please verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
Next, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST (Ask for Soundbars), 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Average sound bar and subwoofer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sound bar is not very loud. I would not recommend this in a large room. It's in my bedroom which is the only good thing about it. If you don't mind the limitations of a mid-range sound bar, this is the one for you. Had I known that this was not very loud, I would have purchased a Sony. I own a Sony sound bar which is old but sounds great. The subwoofer is awesome, not the Samsung.

Better than the TV but that's about it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to my $170 Logitech computer speakers, this is lacking in almost every category. Bass: Even with the sub level all the way up, Bass set to +6, and EQ set to try and maximize the response, it seems to cut off at a pretty high frequency. This leaves you with wanting to keep it centered in the room because you can hear where it is place. EQ, lowest frequency adjustment is 150hz. I would expect no less than 80Hz but by the sounds of it, it might cut-off above 80, making the above mentioned "sub"woofer more of a mid-bass box. It says that it is compatible with SmartThings but my phone's app couldn't find it after many attempts and resets. Samsung S24 Ultra I don't write many bad reviews but I feel that I either got something defective or people are only praising this because it sounds better than the built-in speakers. This is going back, sadly.

Posted .Hello Mugs,
Thank you for taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-Q60C soundbar.
You can try a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. The LED display changes as follows: White moves from left to right and right to left, and the middle LED blinks Cyan 3 times. Then the middle LED will blink RED and turn off.
To manually register you device to smart things try the following steps.
1. Launch Smartthings app and tap add.
2. Tap Device.
3. Tap by device and select AV.
4. Select Samsung
5. Select Agree.
6. Tap Start
7. Select Location and Room.
8. Wait until the Samsung Soundbar is registered with your Samsung account.
Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.
If not connected to the internet, you can download it onto a USB device, and then upload it to your soundbar - no wireless connection required. Connect the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.
1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper left corner.
2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes.
- During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
- If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
- When the latest version is installed, no update is performed.
- Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.
6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off

Decent voice quality, no bass
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup is fairly straighthforward, its just misisng some features that higher end systems have. The one part that really knocks it down is the poor bass quality. I’ve tried the woofer in different configurations (placement/orientation/surrounding) and it just doesn’t seem to give you much more than just the soundbar gives you. This is after the woofer has been setup, adjusted and moved.

Posted .Hi TheReviewGuy,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the base quality of your HW-Q60C soundbar.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1. Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2. Adjust the bass control by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.
I hope this helps. For further assistance with features, settings, adjustments, or functions please contact Samsung Customer Support: at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST (Ask for Soundbars), 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

It's okay, but...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace an existing SONY wired, 5-speaker system. Had high hopes that it would produce equal or better sound. Followed the instructions, but found when you increase the treble, the base goes up at an equal rate. No terribly intuitive, even after going over the on-line instructions several times. I ended up controlling the sound with a separate software program.

First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
Next, with the Soundbar on, press the + & - (Volume UP/DOWN) buttons on the body at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
Lastly, make sure that you are running the latest software available to your Soundbar. You can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-Q60C under Q Series.
Download the update and install it via USB thumb stick to your soundbar. If you need additional help, there are how-to instructions on this page.
