Don't Buy if you use an Apple Device
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an SSD drive, I'd give it 5 stars. It's fast, works well, and all meets all of my needs. I have to downgrade it to 3 stars because I also bought it for the fingerprint security which does not work on my MacBook Pro. I've downloaded the app but it doesn't recognize the drive, so it's impossible to setup the security. I've checked online, I'm not alone, there are dozens of "fixes" on YouTube, of which the few I tried led to the same result. There are others that have more extreme steps which I'm unwilling to try for a product that should just work. I'm not going to return it, as a hard drive it still functions and does that well, but like I said, I was expecting more.

Great Performance, but skip if you own an M1 Mac.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this drive performs well and maintains a tolerable operating temperature, the software will not work with an m1 unless you reduce system security. If you own a m1 Mac it would be wise to buy the cheaper T7 drive until Samsung fixes their software.
