Pricey but great for heavy zoom use
||Posted . I wear these 8+ hrs a day remote teaching. These are not hi fi headphones although music sounds fine. Also, these leave the ears unimpeded so you can hear ambient sound. Good if you are taking a call but want to be aware of your surroundings. Comfortable and charge lasts all day. Noise cancellation works well. I was going crazy from the noise by the landscapers but the students didn’t even notice it. Sometimes, I don’t even notice that I still have them on. Charger however is proprietary. Would be useful if it used an open standard so you could have a charger in multiple places (car, at desk and bedroom.) Other aftershokz will pair with multiple devices. Would be great if this did as well so I could answer calls on my cell as well as teach. No such luck. Will pair with one device only. Good device. Would buy again. Happy to buy with discounts. Too expensive otherwise.

Might work for the right application, but…
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, bone conduction definitely works, but whether this headset will work for you will be a matter of personal preference. Bone conduction has a couple of advantages. By transmitting through your jawbone instead of your ear canal, it allows you to remain completely aware of your surroundings. If you have nerve- related hearing loss, it allows you to hear the phone conversation without the need for a hearing aid or other assistive device. There are also some drawbacks. Some frequencies transmit through bone better than others, so there’s a lot missing with music, particularly in the details or outside the midrange. This specific headset also has challenges. First, the fit is tight for me. I wear a 7 3/8 hat, so a large but no huge head, and it is tight enough that I could not wear it for long calls. My much smaller wife also found it uncomfortable. The microphone is so-so, with clarity but also a very hollow sound. The charger is proprietary instead of USB-C, which means carrying around another cable if you plan to travel with it. And the travel case is huge compared to the size of the unit. I can see that for a very specific application, this would be a perfect solution. For me, it didn’t quite work and was returned.
