I dont consider myself an audiophile, but I have used a large variety of headphones and earphones over the years. Definitely more than most people (I have a problem). I tend to like a thick bass with clear, seperated sound. So far, I love these earphones. They sound exactly the way I wanted them to**. I've been using these for music, movies, and gaming. And there are a few things that really stood out to me. The passive noise canceling rivals ANC from my Bose BeQuite earbuds, Momentum 4s, and Sony WH1000XM3. The AIONIC 5's have a large sound stage and really good sound separation. Though this makes them good earbuds in general, I'd argue it makes them even better for gamers. In shooters like CS2, I can clearly hear where the enemies are coming from. Even when things get chaotic. So these will be replacing my EPOS H6Pro and my Drop PC38X's. I feel like the AIONICs have better isolation than the EPOS and a sound stage that competes with, maybe even outperforms, my PC38X's headset. Now that I've said these amazing things, let me give you my little warning. If you are considering these, you may want to consider some type of dac/amp because I have had a different experience depending on the system I plugged these into. When I plugged these directly into my laptop (Asus P16), they sounded fenominal but also very, very loud. When I plugged them into my desktop, through the monitor, they were super quiet and lacked bass of any kind. I was able to get the sound I was looking for when I plugged them into a DAC I used to use on my desktop (soundblaster). Finally, when I plugged these into my phone through a USBC to 3.5mm adapter, the bass was too weak for my taste. So I picked up a mobile DAC/AMP combo from HELM Audio, and this did give me the bass I was looking for. Lastly, the in-line controls were not compatible with any of the devices I plugged them into, in any configuration.. So, tbh, I have no idea if they even work.. But this was not a big deal for me. TLDR, these are amazing headphones when plugged into a dac/amp and can reasonably be used for anything, but your milage may vary from device to device.

Best earbuds I’ve ever used. They were honestly too good for my needs so I just returned them for something cheaper.
