It’s wide but man it’s a relief not to have two remotes since the tv I’m using doesn’t recognize when each device is being in use at the time

I had this remote for a little over a year. I first used it with the 3rd gen ATV remote, later switching it to the 4th gen ATV. The left part of the remote has a broken plastic lock that won't allow the 2 parts to click and stay together. Not worth the price and the lifespan. Don't bother.

Best Apple TV accessory ever. Bought two of these, one for my 4th gen Apple TV and one for my 3rd gen in the basement. Does exactly what it says it does. I’ve got all 8 buttons programmed on my home theater setup upstairs. I’ve got it programmed to turn on my TV, turn my amp on and select the output I have Apple TV assigned to, turn the volume up and down. I’ve also got another button programmed to select the DVR output from my amp and the last two buttons programmed to change the channel up or down on my DVR remote. You can also charge your 4th gen remote with Sideclick, a lot of thought definitely went into this. It makes the Apple remote easier to hold and harder to lose as well, huge plus. Looks like they also have one for Roku and Amazon Fire TV, if I ever buy a Roku or Amazon Fire TV I'll for sure be getting a Sideclick for those as well.

I ordered one Sideclick to try it on one Apple TV remote. I was so impressed by the results, I ordered 4 more, so every Apple TV now has it's own Sidekick! I LIKE THESE ATTRIBUTES: 1- TV Power On / Off 2- Soundbar or Receiver Power On / Off 3- Volume Up / Down 4-Channel Up / Down of anything! 5- Input select of anything! 6- Much more stable in your hand than the small Apple Remote 7- Easy to program! 8- Copies any IR signal 9- Value priced 10- Convenience of 1 remote to control the system (most critical functions) I DISLIKE THESE ATTRIBUTES: NONE!

This is an easy to setup and use addition to your Apple TV. Everything from putting the touch controller in the device to setting up and programming the buttons is super simple. It makes holding the controller almost like holding a plus size phone width wise. Only addition I would like is for there be an ability to add a “second” channel so that more devices can controlled with this device. As it is, it’s good for 1 or2 devices with only a few functions. I have a small setup so for me it’s perfect.

I like when you get just the right amount of features in your product. Pros - Very easy to program - Price is right - Solved the biggest issue of losing Apple TV remote in cushions - Provides weight and girth to slim remote Cons - None so far

It was easy for me to program my Sideclick to replace my TV remote for most of what I'd need. An added bonus (for me at least) is the size increase, so it's a little harder to lose that Apple TV remote, lol.

I bought the sideclick with the thought of making my 4th gen appletv remote a bit beefier and to hopefully end its game of sliding down the couch cushion(s). The remote became more robust, but the slip resistance I was hoping for wasn’t there. Where the sideclick really shined was when I used it, as intended, on my appletv 2nd gen remote (used in a room that only has “old” tech). Not only was the remote beefier, but I finally had a use for the universal remote attachment. Remote setup took maybe 4 seconds, per button, to program. I no longer need to juggle 2 extra remotes (tv, DVD player) and can easily control the extra devices with the sideclick. This works as advertised. I would prefer a thin slip resistant strip on the bottom for future models. A clip to cover the appletv attachment that doesn’t have the sideclick on it would also make more sense given the price point of this accessory.

I use both the Amazon FireTV and AppleTV to stream movies and various apps. Since I have been using the AppleTV for AirPlay more recently I purchased this remote addition to make it easier to control my soundbar. I added a Yamaha soundbar to my Samsung TV to improve the quality of the sound and this remote allows to easily control the volume. The remote is programmed like any other IR learning remote so you need the original, but also not limited to predetermined code list either. The other small advantage is I know which way is up on the Apple remote. For those of us reaching blind for the Apple remote it can be difficult which end is the touchpad since it is all black. The Sidekick is added to the left side. Yes you can tell by looking at the lettering on the buttons on the remote, but challenging when you are over fifty and not wearing glasses. LOL

Got this for the 2021 Siri Remote for Apple TV and needed bit of push to slide it in, but that was it. Programmed the buttons for Optoma Projector and Polk audio sound system, things are working like a charm. Definitely recommend this, got it during Black Friday for around $15

This product was marked down online, and was a good value. Setup was fairly easy, although I did not figure out how to get an old DVD player to work, because I lost the original remote. I use it frequently, and have not misplaced the Apple TV remote since buying the Sideclock.

Programmable buttons and easy fit (I’ve only used the newest style Apple remote). Wish they could come out when a new model....maybe a grippy bottom? It slides every where and is lost in blankets and couch pillows all the time

Very easy to use and makes my choices so much easier. Volume control is the best!!!

Admittedly the only reason I own this is to give my AppleTV remote more girth. We all know how easily you can lose those remotes, so having it in this attachment has made it easier to keep track of and easier to use as well. I bought one for my parents who are in their elder years and they agree they could not use the remote by itself.

If nothing else it is nice just for the size and way it makes remote easier to handle. The extra buttons are a bonus. I'm utilizing some of them for volume and source input which was also a big help. I would recommend, especially when it's on sale.

I'm the kind of person that enjoys streamlined and minimalist processes. I really enjoy my Apple TV but there were just a few things I'd need my regular TV remote for. When I came across this I had to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. It's relatively easy to set up and program with both my TV and soundbar and only adds a little bit of size to the Apple TV remote which is probably for the better because its much harder to lose or have slide in-between couch cushions. If you're looking to cut down the amount of remotes in your house this is a very good option.

Works as described. Great accessory for Apple TV remote. Best of all it prevents the remote from falling between seat cushions.

A little awkward to hold but it works great. Just make sure your tv remote is Rf and not Bluetooth.

Works good. Helps keep the Apple remote from getting lost so easy. Bonus if you have an old Apple TV you can use the sleeve to add some weight to it too.

Have always had an issue with the remotes in my bedroom as I didn`t want to have three remotes (1 for av receiver, tv, and apple tv) and I didn`t want to buy an expensive universal remote (no luck with cheaper universal remotes) to which this was perfect for now I can use my apple tv with the Sideclick to control everything. Only regret is not finding this product sooner. Advice is they go on sale often and was able to get mine for $20 so I would wait for a sale if possible.
