I love my iPhone ear buds. It connects directly to my phone and l do not have to connect to Bluetooth. It works immediately. The sound and volume is good. I only wish it came with a small container to put it in when not in use.

These ear buds are great! They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The microphone is attached to the wire leading to the left ear. At 1st I had buds in wrong ears…my mistake. It’s important to always read directions. I love the ear buds and highly recommend.

I bought these to use at the gym & they work great, I sweat a lot & they haven’t messed up because they’re water proof. They’re better than the Apple ones & are worth the extra money!

Personally, I love the freedom, features, and sound quality that really a good pair of true-wireless earbuds can provide; but sometimes I'm on the road and don't want to bring a pricey set of true-wireless buds with me...or I was planning on getting in an evening run and just discovered that my buds are out of juice and need some time back in the charging case. That's when something like the Skullcandy Set Lightning really comes in handy because you don't have to mess with charging or dodgy Bluetooth pairings or wireless dropouts while they're in use--just plug the cable into the Lightning port and you've got pretty much every thing you could ask for. The integrated capsule remote hanging down from the left earbud has an integrated mic for phone calls (voice quality was decent though I'm told it sounded slightly "thinner" than when I use something like the Jabra Elite 85t or JBud Run), provides for remote volume control, Pause/Play, FF and REW, and provides for call answer/hang-up and Siri voice activation. I really appreciate some of Skullcandy's usability decisions in the design of the control scheme. The microphone is on the back of the remote capsule; the surface is smooth and shiny black save for a small white Skullcandy logo. The playback controls are on the other side and feature a flat, matte texture with raised buttons of different shapes. Volume Down is at the bottom of the capsule and is marked by a raised minus sign; Volume Up is a raised plus symbol situated at the top of the capsule. The multi-function button for track navigation/play/pause/call answer/Siri sits between the volume controls and is marked by a raised skull logo. Each control sits far enough apart from the others, and feels distinct enough to the touch, that it a) should be relatively easy to find the control you need, and b) would be relatively difficult to hit the wrong control by accident, even during a workout or other activity. Although the Lighting connector's housing is pretty beefy, the cables themselves are relatively thin, feeling about the same diameter as Apple's old wired buds--but the wires aren't quite as pliable or bendy as Apple's super soft/supple white rubber cable insulation. I can't know for sure, of course, because I've only had the Set Lightnings for a little while, but the impression you get is that the Skullcandy buds use a slightly "tougher" type of rubber coating on the wires. Hopefully this means they might last a bit longer than the Apple cables used to--that white rubber always seemed to disintegrate after only a handful of months. Despite being slightly stiffer, the cables are still very light and the rubber cladding is slick rather than tacky so it didn't stick to sweaty skin or clothing; in use, the cables were so light that I honestly didn't notice the wires at all during my workouts. The buds themselves have a typical IEM shape with eartips curving inwards/bending away from the main driver housing so that they squirt the sound down your ear canals rather than just resting outside them and playing a bit louder. Skullcandy provides three sets of silicone eartips (S,M,L) for a custom fit; with the medium tips installed, I found passive noise isolation was quite substantial with voices completely unintelligible and nearly inaudible without taking out a bud to hear. The entire assembly is only about 1/2 the length of an Apple earbud/earpod. The cable that snakes out the back of the Set Lightings are attached by a small curved arm that follows the natural direction and folds of skin on either side of the intertragical notch (I had to look that up)...that's just a fancy way of saying that the ergonomics and design of the earbud assembly and cable attachments allow for a very natural, secure, yet comfortable fit...during a 45 minute workout, I didn't have to adjust the buds even once, and they remained firmly in place even after a 2.5 mile run. Okay, sure, they're pretty comfortable and kind of cool looking--but how do they sound? In a few words--pretty decent. That doesn't necessarily sound like glowing praise, but you have to remember that these are budget buds with the convenience of working with any Apple device's Lightning connector that will last just as long as your device does. Bass response was definitely serviceable and surprisingly clean and well-controlled, but they're not bass-heavy buds...they simply don't play the lower registers with much grunt or the "oomph" that you might enjoy from a really nice pair of headphones or IEMs. Similarly, some of the really high notes from electric guitars or female vocals sound a bit thin and strained...not bad, just not necessarily as smooth, clean, or articulate as you'd get with something that probably carries a much higher price tag. But then I doubt anyone considering these buds is looking for serious audiophile performance anyway, so I also highly doubt anyone would come away from the Set Lightnings disappointed. From my time with them, I feel these are the ideal backup/travel/gym/emergency iDevice buds that won't break the bank while still giving you decent sound quality. If you use them as your daily drivers, they are cheap enough that you shouldn't lose much sleep if you misplace them; and Skullcandy is renowned for their virtually no-questions asked warranty that will net you a replacement if anything happens to them in the next few years. So, will the Set Lightnings give you the pulse-pounding beats you need to squeeze out a few more reps or another 10 minutes on the bike, or carry you happily through a commute for another Spotify playlist, MMORPG or shooter--absolutely, and they DO play loudly enough to encroach on hearing-damage volume levels without completely distorting into a janky, jumbled mess. Just remember that these buds fall squarely into the "Definitely not bad, especially given what I paid for them" camp, rather than into "OMG, these are just AMAZING, you won't believe how wonderful your music sounds" territory. Keep that in mind, and I'd think you'd be hard pressed to find much to complain about--definitely great for what they are and how well they perform.

Skullcandy - Set Lightning - In-Ear - Wired - True Black The price can’t be right. Well, let me put this another way. You’d be hard pressed to justify spending more if you’re looking for rugged, nice sounding, drama-free earbuds. FEATURES: Various sized ear-gels to ensure a comfortable fit. A simple “pod” control for volume and track management. Center: 3x clicks for track back. Single click for “answer phone / end call”. Click and hold 1 sec for voice assistant activation. That Lightening Connector exclusively for Apple iPhone owners. PERFORMANCE: The Skullcandy - Set Lightning tolerates workout sweat (IPX4), is super comfortable and lightweight, high sound isolation, and costs a bit more than a specialty, uptown pizza. These sound right on all types of music. This is a reasonably balanced, smooth sound contour that does not over-emphasize or diminish any part of the sound spectrum. Compared to much more expensive earbuds you have a slightly raised bass emphasis but it’s not over-baked and can be adjusted within the iPhone EQ or some music App settings. The treble region is not quite as extended and, with some music, I detect a bit of edginess. But, let’s not overstate my observations. I’m underscoring some differences between these very fairly priced Skullcandy earbuds and earbuds that might cost 5X this price, and those often have their own limitations. SUMMARY: You are getting more earbud performance than you’re paying for. Very very comfortable, rugged build quality, very very nice sound that will delight most people. They can be lived with for very long periods of time. These are the earbuds to get, and no one will believe what you paid for them.

    Wired for the Win

--- Installation--- Connecting these headphones is as easy as removing them from their packaging and inserting them in your iPhone. Just like the good old days before wireless. --- FEATURES --- These headphones are wired, have a secure-fit, and are sweat resistant. --- PERFORMANCE --- The performance of these headphones is great. I was able to start listening to my music and podcasts in seconds and better yet, I had control of the audio from the left earbud. I could easily raise and lower the volume and I could pause my audio with the center button. Listening to music with a snug fit, I was able to hear all the beats as I performed my activity of choice. --- EXPECTATIONS --- The product meets my expectations. I do like that they sit comfortably in my ear without feeling loose. This gives me security that they won’t fall off, and they never did while I was using them. I used them as I walked on an uneven trail with rough terrain under my feet. At no point did I have to readjust them. When I returned home, they continued to work as they are sweat-resistant. From there, I plugged them into an iPad that we have on a kitchen counter wall that is used exclusively for streaming shows. It was great to hear my TV shows without disturbing my wife as she worked on her coding. --- VALUE --- There is definite value in owning a pair of wired headphones. These could be your car backup when your bluetooth headphones have unexpectedly run out of juice. --- APPROVAL --- I highly recommend these headphones for athletes who want a secure fit as they work out. They are great for the outdoors as well.

The Skullcandy headphones fit great in the ear. The ones that come on the headphones were a great fit for me. They are comfortable and do not fall out. There are three additional sizes that come with the headphones. I have used the headphones when I go out for walks and also to do exercise in the house. I have not had any isses with them falling out when I sweat. The sound quality is great both for music and phone calls. I really can't tell any difference between these and my AirPods in terms of quality except for that they Airpods are wireless.

A good pair of headphones with decent sound quality. The style is simple and minimalistic for a wired set of headphones. These headphones have the lightning connector for Apple iPhone and iPod and iPad products. I like using these Skullcandy headphones because I no longer need to rely on my dongle from Apple. These headphones plugged directly into my iPhone XR. These are sweat resistant and great for every day use. The built-in control on the line allows for volume control and excepting and ending calls. Overall a pretty good set of headphones with multiple ear buds and gel‘s for your best fit.

I was looking for some less costly wired earbuds when I do some light works out at home. Coming across these Skullcandy Sport Earbuds, I was curious as I know with confidence that they would be decent sounding earbuds that my wallet wouldn’t take a huge impact. After trying them at home with some jogging and rowing, here are my initial thoughts: They are comfortable in my ear...when they want to stay in. You are provided with 3 different sizes of rubber tips for the earbuds. I tried the small ones as I normally have a small ear canal. They kept slipping out. So, naturally, I tried the medium ones (the ones that are already on the earpieces) and they too kept falling out. Finally tried the large ones and surprisingly, they stayed in. The rubber tips are comfortable and they fit well in there. Yet, when doing motions like running or some head movements would cause the right earbud to start slipping out of my ear canal. This was somewhat of an annoyance as I would be constantly trying to adjust them while in motion. The sound quality is again, decent. Not too much bass, high’s sounded ok. I must say, that listening to music was not as a good experience compared to listening to a podcast. I felt that just hearing people talk sounded very good with these Skullcandy’s. And, I mostly listen to Podcasts now when I exercise so I felt that these earbuds are a win! Overall, I am pleasantly surprised with these earbuds. It’s just keeping them in my ear is the major issue.

I bought these for my wife because she loved mine. They're very durable. I've had my pair for three years. My wife loves them. She says they're better than mine because she likes the color. Lol. They have nice bass and are much better than the factory phone earplugs.
