The Sonos Ace is an great product upon initial first impressions. It is light, very comfortable, and the sound quality is good. I really appreciate that the headrest does not clamp on your head super strong, the headset doesn't weigh a ton so I feel that you could wear it for several hours without fatigue. The ANC is also very good with equally good transparency mode, and switching the audio from the Arc to the headphones is seamless. The controls are very easy to use and have a fair amount of travel, almost sponge-like, so you have to press in a fair bit for it to register. That being said, let's get to where I think they could improve - for one, the case. The case feels not as robust or durable for a premium product - it gives me a feeling of while it looks nice that it may not be durable or last for a long period of time. Inside the case, there is a magnetic pouch that is the type to squeeze to open to put your USB-C / audio cables in. But, it is also made from the same kind of material that makes me doubt its durability. The other issue, I think may be more of a personal one, however, is the fit. I have a rather large head, and have to extend the earcups to their limit to fit comfortably. Lastly is the sound quality. The sound is good and has a wide soundstage. Is definitely good for easy listening and is pleasing. My slight gripe, however, is that the Sonos app only has two sliders for EQ adjustment - bass and treble. If they were to have an advanced mode for more granular EQ adjustment, I think that would go a long way for the sound to be more "impactful". If there are songs that I want to rock out to, this doesn't have quite the presence versus some other competitors. Therefore, as I said in the title, the Sonos Ace is a great all-around product and a very good first effort. I can't wait to see what Sonos comes up with next.

Solid replacement for Apple AirPod Max

Sound Quality: +- The same compared to major competitors like Boss Quite Comfort Ultra, Sony XM5, AirPod Max.. Maybe loosing 0.5 point to some, depends on music you listen. 4.5 Overall Battery Life: Strong performance 5.0, Definitely beats AirPod Max on that front. Connectivity: Initial setup could be a pain because of horrible App (with bugs), overall confusing experience, You nee to use the app to enable automatic device switch (Should be default). Only 2 devices supported for automatic device switch (apple support up to 5). Other than that, no connection problem from headphones itself (at least on Apple Devices, Mac, Iphone, Ipad). 3.0 Overall (if they would fix the app, I would say 4.0) Comfort: Way more comfortable than AirPod Max, overall good balance of weight, materials and shapes. Overall 5.0 Build Quality: The aluminium arch is what separate from most of other competitors, except Apple. It is often place where headphones breaks, Sonny even have partnership with repair service to fix it.... Not as fancy as Apple, but way more functional and comfortable. 4.5 Overall Controls: Love physical controls and ability to turn off headphones with a button (yeah these are the features nowadays). Switching tracks back and forward not very well tuned, can be fixed with software. 4.5 Overall ANC: Not as good as Apple, but on +- same level with others 4.0 Overall Additional: Ability to connect(Listen Music) in wired mode via USB-C cable (Lossless support) or 3.5 (Mono). You can't do any of these with AirPods Max. Material of cups, while Apple's knit approach is cool, it is not practical and absorb sweat etc.. Also the net is hard too clean.. Sonos use more traditional materials and they work great. P.S. If they will not break like AirPods Max within 3 years, I would pick these over Apple any given day.. Time will show.

Good, But Not Quite Great, Headphone from Sonos

PROS + Lightweight and comfortable for long periods of time, particularly fantastic headband with smoothly adjusting earcups + Minimalist aesthetic fits well with other Sonos product + Removable magnetic earpads that can be swapped + Solid sound with good imaging and great detail, which is great for spatial audio + Spatial audio sounds good and feels more open despite the closed-back nature of the headphones + ANC & Audio Passthrough, while not the best I have heard, do a good enough job for their purposes + Physical buttons on the headphones provide most of the control you would need without needing the app + TV Audio Swap works seamlessly and sounds good for personal home theater listening, with no latency issues + Bluetooth 5.4 support + Included hard carrying case for storage + Long battery life CONS - Missing a bunch Sonos-specific ecosystem features you would want/expect at launch (no wifi-streaming to the headphones except for TV Audio Swap, no integration with other Sonos products for multi-room listening or streaming audio, can’t use the Sonos app to play content to the headphones, TV Audio Swap only supports Sonos Arc at launch, etc.) - EQ is too basic, only letting you adjust three bands (Bass, Treble, & Left-Right Balance). I wish I could have adjusted the mids, as the default sound signature, while not bad, isn’t quite to my taste - Earcups are pretty small for my ears and the vegan leather pads, while comfortable, get warm - Carrying case leaves something to be desired. Specifically it has no handle, uses a recycled fiber-like fabric that I am personally not a fan of the texture of, has a sharp edge around the recessed zipper, and only fits the headphones in their smallest configuration, so I have to resize it for my head every time I take them out - Headphones regularly disconnected from the app and needed to be reconnected by power cycling the headphones and/or app. Not deal-breaking, but annoying when trying to do things like adjust EQ. SO-SO * Overall sound quality is good, but not remarkable in my opinion. My opinion changed a lot on it. For some things I liked it, others not so much. They have very good detail (things like drum reverb is well represented), but the neutral signature doesn’t feel very neutral, almost sounding a bit more v-shaped to my ears. Some may like it, others might not, but given the simple EQ and lack of audio profiles, not much can be done if it isn’t to your taste. * Minimalist aesthetic also makes them a bit unremarkable looking in the market of wireless headphones, depending on your preferences Some uncommon connectivity bugs that would lead to brief (1-2 second) crackling in the sound, usually when connecting to an audio device or right after TV Audio Swap THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT I wish I could give ½ star ratings, because to me this is a very solid 3.5 star product. I am a big headphone lover, having collected quite a few pairs over the years. I wouldn’t consider myself a true ‘audiophile’, but I do think I am a pretty discerning consumer when it comes to audio. The Sonos Ace are what I would call a solid “good” headphone, but a bit unremarkable, at least at launch, given their asking price and the market as a whole. I have used Sonos products for many years in my home and I am quite familiar with their ecosystem. However, despite being their first headphones, there is not a lot in the Sonos Ace that feels like a distinctly Sonos product. I have a lot of mixed opinions after using them for a broad range of content. On the one hand, I personally really like the design, build quality, and comfort. They are minimalist with a matte black finish that looks great and are extremely comfortable to wear. They are lightweight, and all buttons have a nice tactile feel that makes them feel very well built. They are primarily plastic, but that does pay rewards in comfort. The one big exception for me being the earcups, which feel a bit too small for my larger ears, and whose earpads (while comfortable), got too warm for me after an hour or two of use. Thankfully they are magnetically removable to clean off. The headphones also have all of the standard bluetooth headphone features you would expect. You can connect via Bluetooth 5.4, use the buttons on the earcups to adjust volume, play/pause, skip, etc., change between ANC and audio passthrough modes, and you can connect to 2 bluetooth devices with multipoint connection. The ANC is good, in keeping with the competition, and the audio passthrough works well. Neither feel very natural, but they are both effective enough and what they are setting out to do, and most importantly for me, they have no negative effects on the sound quality at all. Where the headphones are more mixed for me is in terms of the sound quality, and overall features for the cost. On the sound quality front, I really liked them for some things, like spatial audio mixes and home theater listening, but for regular stereo listening, they were a bit mixed for me. I personally found the mids a bit lacking, and low-end detailed, but missing a bit of thump, at least out of the box. Thankfully I was able to EQ the bass up a bit which I liked, but the overall sound profile still didn’t feel very balanced, with no ways to adjust the mids or swap any preset profiles. They definitely aren’t neutral sounding, almost leaning a bit v-shaped or bright. Honestly, I think a lot of people will like this out of the box just fine, and some people will probably even prefer their default sound signature, but for me, I found them a bit fatiguing and imbalanced for my tastes. They absolutely do not sound bad at all, so I highly recommend trying them for yourself if you can at an in-store demo, but for the cost of them and their brand, I had higher expectations. Thankfully, where they do perform well is with spatial audio mixes. Dolby Atmos from Apple Music sounded largely fantastic with good spatial presence and imaging. Likewise, using the TV Audio Swap feature with the Sonos Arc worked very seamlessly, swapping audio with one click of a button, and no noticeable latency between the screen and the sound I was hearing. Effects were well placed, and there was good spatial separation. The head tracking I wasn’t a big fan of and tended to disable. It certainly worked, but wasn’t very natural sounding to me. At launch there was no ability to tune the audio with Trueplay or otherwise, and the TV Audio Swap feature only works with the Arc at launch. And this is my biggest disappointment, as other than TV Audio Swap, and using the Sonos App (which I have mixed opinions on), the headphones don’t feel very different from any other bluetooth headphones for their price. You cannot even play music to the headphones with the Sonos app, which feels very strange, or use other Sonos enabled devices to stream audio to the headphones. It would be great to be able to instantly swap audio from my other speakers to my headphones when I am ready to leave the room or not trying to disturb someone, but at the moment they are separate systems entirely. On the whole these are not bad headphones at all, but given their asking price at launch, and the expectations coming from a brand like Sonos with such a deep ecosystem, they do feel a bit underwhelming for me. I can see others’ mileage varying, and I do highly recommend trying them for yourself. This is also a product I can see getting better over time as software updates enable more features, but at launch, it is hard for me to wholeheartedly recommend them without caveats.

Sonos has made a name for themselves as being a premiere speaker provider with their excellent line of speakers, soundbars, subwoofers, and more. However, they have notably never had any sort of headphones - until now of course. The Sonos Ace have been anticipated and my experience so far has not been disappointing! PROS: - Immediately I was impressed with the design of these! They look so modern yet sleek and slim. They have a nice premium feel to them, and I love the removable cups as well. - Setup is largely a breeze. They work via Bluetooth and you simply use the Sonos app to set them up (or you can just connect them via Bluetooth) and you are ready to go! The Sonos apps comes with some EQ settings and others to tweak if you want to. - The sound quality is superb! I found the bass to be very impactful, the vocals to be crisp, and overall felt like a concert on my ears. - The noise cancellation is also very impressive. It does a great job drowning out the background noise to let you focus in, but with a click of a button you can switch to aware mode to hear everything around you which is a really nice feature. - Speaking of the buttons, I surprisingly loved the physical button controls! You see a lot more touch controls in headphones but I found the way Sonos made their buttons as very easy to use, there is no room for error, and its simple enough where it does not feel like you have so many buttons to push. - Also with buttons comes another cool feature, the soundbar switch. Once you set it up with your Sonos Arc, you just long press the silver play button and it will automatically switch whatever you have playing on your Arc soundbar to your Ace headphones. It really helps tie in your whole Sonos system together and makes for a useful feature when you are watching something on TV and do not want to wake anyone or maybe you just want a surround experience. - The Aces also have head tracking which allows for some really fun Dolby Atmos viewing or even listening without the soundbar. - Lastly, I love how fast they charge and how easily they charge. Everything is done via USB-C and can even hardwire into your phone/laptop via a USB-C jack which they include. CONS: - At the time of this writing, Sonos just released a new app for their speakers and headphones that replaced the old app they had. It’s been met with some criticism but I largely have liked the new app. However, when it comes to the headphones it does feel that they are still building the app to catch up with the hardware they have now. I have faith Sonos will remedy this, but just be aware the app experience can be inconsistent. - Speaking of which, one of the best features of the Sonos speakers system is you can pick and chose which speakers play music at a certain time. As in you could have 5 speakers play the same music at the same time if you so wanted! But the headphones are left out of this cool feature meaning you can not group the same music on your kitchen speakers and headphone at the same time if you wanted to. BOTTOM LINE: - In a world full of competing high end headphones, the Sonos Ace stand out. They look amazing, sound amazing, have very useful buttons for ease of use, and the soundbar to headphones switch is super easy to use and convenient! It’s also hard pressed to find all the high end features this comes with and this price point - Sonos made a hit through and through!

When I had first heard Sonos was coming out with an over the ear headphone, I was excited. I have several Sonos products in my home, and they are amazing, so I had high hopes and expectations for the Ace headphones. I had gone into test them and listen in comparison to the Air Pods Max headphones, and they did not disappoint. Esthetically, they have a simple, sleek and slimming design which to the eye, feels like a quality product. They are light and comfortable to wear for long periods of time and the button placement and functionality makes them easy to use via tactile operation. The clarity & warmth of sound along with the depth of the base is what you would expect as Sonos does this well across all their products. Their ANC and transparency work great and does a great job especially in different environments and situations. Connecting them to Bluetooth was seamless which I was worried about given at launch there was challenges noted on the forums with this. The battery life is true to what is stated. I had used them on and off over several days and they still carried charge. Lastly, in comparison to the Air Pods Max which I also like, the price point makes them more attractive without compromising quality. If you are looking for an over the ear headphone, I would highly recommend giving these a try. You will not be disappointed.

I have had these since their release so have had a while to review them. Sound: These sound quite good. Some of the reviews had mentioned issues all over the place on sound dead, uninspired, etc. I am not a total audiophile, but I know when something sounds decent and these do for music, You Tube and podcasts. I mean are they top notch wired ones, no but that is not really the point of them either. 4.5/5 ANC: Quite good. It's a smidge below Bose, but not much. I find the ANC to be quite good and pretty natural. I will say thought that there are a few times where there is a feeling of having some pressure in my ears. It doesn't happen often so I have written it off to my sinuses, but something to consider. But overall quite good. 4.5/5 Comfort: This is where these really shine they are super comfy. I value comfort more than most items as finding a good fit for headphones is hard for my head. They have the oh so right clamping force and feel natural, the pads themselves are quite good and don't get overly warm. I can fall asleep on a chair with these on for several hours and that is something as I rarely can do that. 5/5 Connectivity / Controls: They connect and can connect to multiple items. Trying to do the bluetooth pairing is a little clunky but not horrid. Apple spoiled us with their auto pairing so it's not the end of the world to do but not just push and go either. They stay connected and have had no BT issues. 4/5 Overall: Quite a compelling offering, especially if you can find a sale that they have starting having recently. They are comfy, sound quite good, and have great ANC. It's sort of the goldilocks in that they do everything quite well and it adds up to a great overall offering.

Excellent fit, very good design and materials used, plus they're comfortable enough to wear for a long time. Sound quality is very good and "Aware Mode" is much better than I expected. ANC a very good performer as well. I only wish the price was about $100 cheaper. Lose a star because the initial app setup was a pain to deal with and it took me several attempts to configure it. Other than that no complaints so far.

I own the Airpods Max and B&W Px8s. The Sonos Ace is really giving the Max a run for its money, and the value compared to the Px8s is just short of miraculous what Sonos were able to get away with. If you're looking for transparency (ie, awareness) then nothing comes close to the Airpods Max. Apple simply just does this better than any headset I've owned or tested. I still wouldn't recommend the max though (see below). ANC on the Sonos Ace is comparable to the Max. I really couldn't tell the difference to be honest. I don't own a set of Bose so I'm not even going to go there (I'm sure you'll find plenty of reviews stating that's the gold standard for ANC etc.) The sound on these are really good. I'm no audiophile, but these are just as good as the Max in my opinion. Weight and comfort, the Sonos Ace are lighter than the Max and on par with the Px8s. They're very comfortable and I've worn these for very long sessions without any fatigue. What about the Px8s you ask? Save your money and pick between Sony, Bose, or Sonos if ANC, transparency, sound and mic quality is important to you. The Px8s are overhyped and in hindsight I've begun to question their reviews. And frankly having owned the Px8s for over a year, the headband is starting to fall apart. The sound, ANC, mic, and quality is nothing to write about. Their app software is a mess which probably explains why I was never able to get the headphones updated (after awhile I just stopped trying). Get these if you're in the market for a new pair of headphones, and have the means to splurge. The Sonos Ace is my new daily driver. Avoid the Max at all costs. Apple refuses to acknowledge condensation buildup in the earcups is a problem which causes a loud static sound in your ears. You'd think their design team would have figured out that metal surfaces tend to cool quickly and attract condensation. Their design team forgot that people sweat, or that some use headphones for long sessions. Their solution? Take off the earcups and wipe down the condensation buildup (which means you're always constantly checking every 1-2 hours to see if it's time to wipe them down again). If headphones are your goto for long audio sessions, then the Max ain't it.

The Best Wireless Headphones I Have Ever Owned!!

I’m going to start this review by saying these headphones have amazing sound quality, excellent build quality and great comfort. They have become my favorite wireless headphones and I have a lot of headphones. Sound QUALITY – First thing I want to say is that these headphones have amazing sound quality. The clarity of the music and the well rounded highs, mids, and bass is unlike anything I have experienced from other top contenders. I listen to a wide range of music genres and they sound great with everything I listen to. Honestly I don’t think my other headphones will be used anymore. Build Quality – These headphones are built solid, but at the same time they are light weight. Other headphones are either solid metal and heavy or plastic and cheap feeling. The SONOS ACE have a mix of plastics and metal but they have managed to give them solid build quality while keeping the weight down which leads to extreme comfort. Comfort – Speaking of comfort, these headphones are super comfy. They have really soft padding on the headband and on the earcups. Wearing these for long hours I have only noticed a slight heat up of my ears, but its nothing that I would consider a downside or affecting the overall comfort. The earcups are also removable with magnets securing them to the headphones, so if needed they are very easy to clean and replace. Active Noise Cancellation – So I have two other headphones that I would say have the best noise-canceling on the market, until now. I ride the train on a daily basis and it can be a very loud environment. I have tested the SONOS ACE against two of the top market leaders and they absolutely do a better job than both of those. I honestly didn’t think they would but they are superb. When they say world class noise cancelling, they are telling the truth. As of today they noise cancelling is stellar. TV Audio Swap – This is the area where things get a little complicated. SONOS has marketed these headphones as a home theatre headset when connected to one of their soundbars. I have both the ARC and the BEAM Gen2 and using the TV Audio Swap feature is very easy to do, by long pressing the multi-function button the audio playing from your TV instantly transfers to the headphones. This feature works as it should and I believe is really nice. However, due to the wide range of streaming APPS I have found there is an issue with the volume output of content depending on what you are watching. I have notified SONOS about this and they promised to fix this with a software update before the headphones launched. There was an update on June 4th, but the change in output volume sadly was only an incremental change. I believe that with more feedback from consumers SONOS will figure this out, but as of today I don’t think its completely there yet. Don’t get me wrong, the audio is still usable and depending on the format of the content you are watching you could get good volume output, but its not consistent and because of that more headroom of the volume output is needed to make up for these inconsistencies. I would say right now if you are buying these for the TV Audio Swap feature, you might find it under-whelming. I only hope SONOS will listen to its fans and figure this out. Hardware – The button layout on the SONOS ACE is very well laced out. There is a Content Key Button which serves as a multi-function button. You can adjust the volume of the headphones, play/pause content, answer or end a call and long press for the TV Audio Swap from a supported soundbar. In my testing I can say the button is very easy and accurate to use and have found no issues with the function or placement of this button. There are two other buttons on the ACE. There is a power/pair button on the left ear up and under the content button on the right ear up is a noise cancel/aware mode button. Aware Mode – This is a feature that everyone does a little different. SONOS has defiantly done a good job here. When using the Aware Mode, You can hear everything around you and most important it sounds very natural. It doesn’t sound like your listening to the surrounding environment through microphones, which is exactly how this feature works. I have had conversations with coworkers and family members with no issue. They have nailed this feature as well. If you have made it this far into the review, congratulations!! You have made it to the end and I will leave you with this, If you are a SONOS fan and are looking for an amazing sounding pair of wireless headphones, then I highly recommend you give these a try. I honestly believe right now it will be hard to find better. If you want them solely or largely for the TV Audio Swap feature, be prepared to feel underwhelmed as of today, but I hope they sort this out soon.

When I first got the Ace, I was a little underwhelmed the volume seemed very low when turned almost all the way up. I use Apple Music as my service of choice and it was trying to push the Atmos codec to the headphones, which it can't use, so after going into the settings and turning off Atmos for Apple Music the volume jumped up to a much better level and the audio was crystal clear. The audio is very balanced and not as bass heavy as my 1000XM3 were. The switching of the audio from a Sonos soundbar, after set up, is quick and works great. I also was recently on a flight and got to test out the ANC and it worked beautifully allowing me to enjoy my music and movies in peace. I think these are great headphones and would definitely recommend them.

I bought the Bose ultra quiet and these to compare them against each other. I already own a pair of Apple AirPod Max headphones and have had them for the last four years. I am big in the Apple ecosystem and enjoy the AirPods Max, but they have always been too heavy and felt it was time to get something lighter and more comfortable. I ended up staying with the Sonos because they were the more comfortable of the two headphones. I loved how light They are and how comfortable the ear cups feel connecting it to all of my devices was a breeze and it works seamlessly with my PlayStation 5, Xbox, Gaming PC and Apple products. Aesthetically they look better than any of the headphones on the market right now, they are more comfortable than any of the headphones I have tried on and the sound is right on par with the Bose and Apple AirPods Max. I would say the Bose have better noise, cancellation, the AirPods max have better transparency, but I like the sound in the punchings of the base in the Sonos. I was looking for over the ear headphones that I could wear laying down in the gym without falling off and these are perfect for workouts and look nice wearing them out in public as well. I got a great deal from Best Buy Getting them on sale for $350 and would recommend these to anybody who is looking for their next pair of over the headphones?

Marking a 5, but these are about a 4.6. Music: 4/5 Movies: 6/5 Movies are what I bought them for so I’m satisfied. But music leaves something to be desired. Like others have said, the AirPods Max are the closest thing to compare. But these are WAY more comfortable, lighter, better looking. Max’s have better bass, but I can only wear those for 20min and I can wear the Ace’s for hours. For movies, they’re incredible. Demo them with Top Gun Maverick and you’ll be sold. I own 8 pairs of headphones / earbuds and I still pull these out almost daily. I think if Sonos hears the reviews and they tweak gen2, these will be amazing.

Overall, I’m giving the Sonos Ace a solid, positive review. I’m a general consumer and slight audiophile. I own a pair of AirPods Max already and was really curious about the Sonos Ace, given the APM are technically outdated (rumored to be refreshed soon). I am genuinely going to keep the Sonos Ace. I went on a long haul, international flight with them and have done some general listening etc. with the Ace as well. I don’t own anything else of Sonos nor have ever tried anything else. I am in the Apple Ecosystem. Spatial Audio with the head tracking is actually pretty cool in comparison to APM, I think they did a fair job there. Noise cancellation, for me, is on par with APM. It was really good. The sound quality is great, it doesn’t have as open of a sound stage as APM and a bit less bass, this set of headphones is very well rounded/balanced, and the comfortability is very well done— has that snug fit like APM but doesn’t give the same fatigue like the APM, I assume because it weighs less and the build is a bit different. Ears didn’t feel hot either, just a bit warm. I was able to comfortably wear the Ace’s for 10 hours straight (note a little bit of fatigue but that’s natural for that long listening time), the battery lasted the flight there and back, plus the bit of time initially on the road. I had charged it to 100% and didn’t charge it at all again until after my trip. Two things to note, the Sonos gave me a little bit of an issue with the on ear/off ear detection (resuming audio after putting them back on). The other thing is that you cannot use them as wired headphones unless they are turned on. All in all, I think Sonos did a good job with their first pair of headphones. Would recommend only if 1) you have the money to comfortably spend and 2) you don’t have APM or have serious issue with APM after owning a pair. At the moment, I think the Ace is a bit above the APM given they have not been refreshed yet.

I have two Sonos speakers...the Beam and the Five. I wanted comfortable earphones to use mainly with the Beam while watching TV at night, and I figured a Sonus product would pair with them easily. The Sonos sounded great in the store (nice to be able to try then out in person), so although rather costly, I took the chance on the Ace. They are really wonderful...great sound, extremely comfortable on the ears. You can switch on the setting to block out background noise if necessary, and that part of it works fantastically. I turned it on to block the sound of a very loud air conditioner, and I couldn't hear the AC at all. Otherwise, without a lot of room noise you don't need that feature and you just keep it off. Connecting it to the TV/Beam system was fairly easy although not immediately obvious. You must use that Sonos app, and the only complaint I have is that Sonos should provide a good instruction sheet to make that connection part easier. I almost had to call Sonos for help, but I eventually figured it out. To Sonos: Please provide some sort of user manual! Otherwise, battery life seems great, and it comes with a nice protective case.

Sound great. I’ve been told the lows compared tot he mids, and high arent that great but when adjusted they get ese are meant more for movies than listening to music. Airpods max sound better with music. These are WAY more comfortable than airpods max. Connections is great. The app is trash. Sound is good but nothing innovative or geound braking. Not worth the money unless you get them for the $300-$375 range

I’ve been using the Sonos Ace headphones for a week now, and they have completely changed how I experience music. The sound quality is incredible, with every note, from the highest highs to the deepest bass, coming through clearly. The sound is balanced, though not overly punchy, which I appreciate for a more natural listening experience. The lossless streaming and spatial audio make it feel like I’m right in the middle of the music. The noise cancellation is fantastic, blocking out all the background noise so I can focus entirely on what I’m listening to. But if I need to hear what’s happening around me, the Aware mode is super handy. They’re also really comfortable, with soft memory foam cushions and an adjustable band that fits perfectly. The battery life is fantastic, lasting up to 30 hours, and a quick 3-minute charge gives me another 3 hours of use. Calls are crystal clear too, thanks to the beamforming microphones. The controls are easy to use, and I love that the audio pauses automatically when I take the headphones off. Switching between devices is a breeze, and the Sonos app lets me tweak the settings to my liking. My favorite feature is the TV swap mode with the Sonos Arc – it’s perfect for late-night TV watching without disturbing anyone. Whether I’m listening to music, taking calls, or watching movies, these headphones provide an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

The Sonos Arc headphones have truly redefined my listening experience, setting a new standard for audio quality and comfort. From the moment I unboxed them, I was struck by their sleek design and premium feel. The minimalist aesthetic is both elegant and modern, making them a perfect accessory for any setting. Sound Quality: 10/10 The standout feature of the Sonos Arc headphones is undoubtedly the incredible sound quality. The audio experience is immersive, with rich, deep bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. Whether I’m listening to classical symphonies or modern pop tracks, every detail is crystal clear. The surround sound capability is a game changer, making movies and gaming feel more lifelike than ever. The spatial audio technology creates an enveloping soundstage that truly pulls you into the experience. Comfort: 9/10 Comfort is crucial for long listening sessions, and Sonos has nailed it. The ear cups are plush and breathable, while the adjustable headband ensures a perfect fit. I can wear them for hours without any discomfort, which is a significant plus for both music lovers and gamers alike. The lightweight design makes them easy to wear, and I appreciate the thoughtful engineering that keeps them snug but not too tight. Battery Life: 9/10 With impressive battery life, the Sonos Arc headphones can last through extended listening sessions without needing a recharge. The quick charging feature is also a nice touch, allowing me to get back to my favorite tunes in no time. Connectivity: 10/10 The connectivity options are seamless, whether I’m using Bluetooth or the Sonos app. Pairing is straightforward, and I’ve experienced no dropouts during use. The ability to integrate with my existing Sonos system is a fantastic bonus, allowing me to control my entire audio environment from one place. Features: 9/10 The touch controls are intuitive and responsive, making it easy to adjust volume or skip tracks without fumbling with buttons. The noise-cancellation feature is another highlight, effectively blocking out background noise, which is perfect for commuting or focusing in noisy environments. Value: 9/10 While the Sonos Arc headphones are on the premium side of the market, the quality and features justify the price. Given the performance and versatility, they are a worthy investment for anyone serious about their audio experience. Overall Impression: The Sonos Arc headphones are a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality and innovation. Whether you’re a casual listener or an audiophile, these headphones deliver an extraordinary sound experience that is hard to match. I can confidently say that these are the best headphones I’ve ever owned, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to elevate their audio game.

Sonos missed the mark to differntiate

The Sonos Ace headphones present a mixed bag. For those already invested in the Sonos ecosystem, such as those who own a Sonos Arc, the Ace could be a worthwhile addition. However, if you already own high-end headphones like the Apple AirPods Max (APM), Sony WH-1000XM5, Bose QC Ultra, or Focal Bathys, the Ace might not offer enough to justify the investment. The headphone market is competitive, and alternatives like the Focal Bathys and Apple APM stand out at this price point. Sonos missed an opportunity to differentiate the Ace in a crowded marketplace, especially considering their strong brand and technological prowess. Notably, the Ace lacks features like Hi-Fi, Lossless sound over Wi-Fi, and the ability to play music from the Sonos app, which is significant oversights. In terms of sound quality, the Ace delivers loud and satisfying bass but lacks the depth and refinement of the Bathys. The mid-range and vocal clarity are decent but do not match the detailed and immersive experience provided by the Bathys. Instrumental separation is also not as tight, making the soundstage feel less defined. I find the sound stage and audio quality slightly below the Apple APM, but that may just be my personal preference. The Ace excels in comfort, being the most comfortable headphones I've worn since the Bose QC45s. The APM, while providing good sound quality, is heavy and can become fatiguing quickly. The Bathys are comfortable but have smaller ear cups. For Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the Ace and APM perform equally well, while the Bathys fall short, especially for frequent travelers. In terms of Dolby Atmos, the APM outperforms the Ace, which does not effectively utilize this feature, and the Bathys do not support it at all. Overall, while the Sonos Ace offers solid performance, especially in comfort and sound quality, it does not surpass the excellence of the Focal Bathys and is almost on part with the APM. I personally don't see a compelling reason to choose over other high-end headphones.
