This Somy XAV-3250 is amazing. Very easy to install and elevates your older car to make it feel newer. The regular sony interface moves swiftly however the carplay lags a bit behind. Its still usable though. The microphone that comes with this system sounds clear and doesnt make static noise on the other line. The sound is incredible on this. It can go up to 50 max. The buttons work properly and dont mess up even when pressed multiple times. Grab this item if its on sale because its absolutely worth it. When you turn on the car bluetooth automatically connects. You might need a flushmount adpater for carplay since the carplay usb is quite a bit short.It comes with a 1 year warranty and your serial number is lovated on the stereos metal part. Been using it for 2 weeks and i can say its very nice. I would definitely purchase it if you are thinking about it. Trustedbrand with good reviews.

Bought to replace the factory stereo in my 2004 Lexus ES330. Huge sound quality improvement. Self installed in an afternoon with the less expensive module harness than the one Best Buy suggests because I dont have steering wheel controls. Ask for it at the installation bay. They will have to order the dash replacement kit for our make and model so order ahead of time or call other car audio shops if you cant wait. The sound is excellent. Makes these 18 year old factory speakers and subwoofer thump and gives modern features like GPS, back up camera, bluetooth and the clearest handsfree calling microphone. The EQ gives enough range to tune each speaker for their optimal sound. Self Install was a learning experience. Wiring the module is as easy as matching the wire color the instructions tell you to on the Sony harness. White to White, Blue with White stripe to, you get it and all the wires were there and matched. Just strip a small bit of the wire end, twist and electrical tape it. For the mounting brackest, use the top long slits and the Nissan holes straight across under the Toyota holes. I fished the USB cable into the glove box with help through an upper right gap and into the gove box. For the mic I dropped it down the back of the dash and out by the pop out ashtray. I double sided tape mounted it right next to the Auto air control.

I've got to say, my opinion on Sony radios has changed. I normally go for Kenwood or Pioneer radios and my last car had a Kenwood but with the current shortages and price spikes, I was going to be paying a hefty amount for a Kenwood or Pioneer. So I sprung for this Sony radio not only because the price was good, but it was also in stock which was already a difficult situation. When I recieved the radio, to my surpise the build quality is out of the park for the price tag, it's built very very well and feels very premium. I do have small complaints which I'll list. Pros, Very well built radio for the price and the EQ settings are well laid out, I own Sony XM4 headphones so I'm not surprised at the great EQ settings. Apple Carplay connects with no problem for me and I was also able to mount it in my truck with the OEM brackets and no other extra trim kits. Bluetooth connects very fast, even faster then my Kenwoods and I appreciate that. Cons, My biggest complaint that keeps this radio from getting 5 stars from me is the display, god it's just mid, I appreciate Sony making it non reflective however there are no adjustments for the brightness when in the non-dim setting (headlights off). On a sunny day and wearing sunglasses, this radio is very difficult to see. On my Kenwoods, I could rearrange the icons but these radios have them locked in place. I have to scroll to the next page if I want to access the settings meanwhile SiriusXM which I don't use is taking up space on the first page. Wallpapers are also limited and it's picky about the USB drive you use to load in custom ones. Apple Carplay can also become a little laggy when you're on a phone call. It never disconnects but it can get slow. Theres also no quick toggle to turn the dimmer on or off, sometimes I drive with the headlights on due to rain and the display is already difficult to see but with the dimmer on during the day just makes it impossible. Overall, I'm still happy with this radio. The value is great for what you recieve, just make sure it works for you in the store before you buy.

For $299, this is an incredible upgrade to my 2004 F250. I added a backup camera and wired it to switch to the backup camera as soon as shifter is put in Reverse. (Pink & Black wire on main fuse panel in dash) Android Auto is awesome, can listen to Spotify and navigate via Google maps without touching your phone which is connected via USB and charging simultaneously. What more can you ask for? I'm sure there are way better units out there but I am completely satisfied with this one for the price! BTW, if you are installing yourself in a 2004 or similar Super Duty, the BB computer system specs the wrong Metra install kit. You need the 95-5817. And, for my truck, I needed a backup camera extension cord on a crew cab short bed.

This head unit is NOT wireless AA or CP and while searching online for product support, what I got instead was that this deck is apparently a European model. Now that stuff is out of the way, the XAVAX3250 does not suck. It is far superior than the paperweights Boss is putting out and the sound quality is just a little better than a comparably priced JVC. Which is crazy to me since JVC is Kenwood and Kenwood is about as good as it gets. Crazier still is that Sony has achieved this with about 4% of the audio tweeks offered by JVC, with a rudimentary graphic 10 band equalizer (+-6db with Sub +-10db), bass improvement settings of off, 1 or 2 and that's it. I'm in the, "give me as many knobs and settings or curves but preferably all of the above," camp so my first thought when I saw the anemic amount of settings, was if I had saved the packaging for the mounting screws because I was going to return yet another deck to Best Buy. All things considered, I think I'm keeping this slimmed down and straight to the point deck with better than average sound quality. Though there's no "appropriation of stage acoustics", the Android Auto works exactly as intended: quick to start up, plays music and provides the geographically handicapped lines to follow when lost. Again. The XAVAX3250's simplicity is kinda endearing and it's nice not having so many menu's of settings upon settings and a settings menu that takes you to the place that tells you how to get to the settings. I miss the settings and it's only been twelve hours but I think a quick meeting and perhaps coffee with my sponsor, I'll be back in a sans settings state of mind. A serene, happy place where I will have all but forgotten the subdued nuance of changing the mid frequency by tenths.

Auto tech at best buy did walked me through what was needed for the installation and did a great job on the install itself. No complaints with the installation portion. I use a wireless adapter for android auto which works great, I just get in my car and it automatically loads up android auto without me doing anything. The screen in the daytime is a little dim, but for quick glances at maps it has not been an issue. Swiping on the screen in android auto I will usually need to try twice for a swipe to register. 1 thing I noticed I would prefer is a knob for volume rather than buttons. (Honda Civic 2011)

Happy with my receiver, had it installed by Best Buy and they did an amazing job. Super easy to use, great sound. Only issue as others have mentioned is the glare and lack of option to adjust screen brightness.

Purchased and got the free install at Best Buy. I drive a 2011 Nissan rogue. Made my stock speakers sound 10x better and am purchasing upgrades soon. Android Auto works well, and i allready updated the firmware ( super easy ). Best Buy did a great job on install. For price, features , and FREE install u cant go wrong

It's an overall good unit. It works as well as you can expect and the screen is responsive. It syncs up quickly with my phone via Bluetooth or Android auto. My biggest issue is the brightness, as others have said. It's not very bright and the screen feels cheaply made. It may be a plastic cover to protect the actual glass, but it still feels odd.

Had this unit in for a few months now, and by far this is the best $500 (including installation panel USB extension cord for CarPlay, and backup camera) ever. One thing I wish it had was a little bit brighter screen since it's hard to see during the day. Other than that, AMAZING stereo.

Great unit! Fit's in my 2011 Prius great. Android Auto works seamlessly, sounds great, screen resolution excellent. Works flawlessly with steering wheel controls and back up camera. Nothing negative at all to say about this unit.

Just installed this on an 01 Lexus ES300. This radio works perfect, very responsive, easy to use. Also hooked up a back up camera that works flawless with this system. If you have this same vehicle I don’t recommend the Metra Fit Dash Kit, however Scosche makes one that works great.

I just installed this myself last night. I am pleased in the sound quality. This unit made my JL audio c2 650’s come to life! Dont ever settle for less by keeping your stock head unit! The backup camera actually LOST quality conpared to my stock headunit. That doesnt make sense to me since the backup camera is the same. The sony headunit has a much higher resolution screen. My camera looks grainy with this new head unit. I bought my wiring harness from crutchfield. Maybe thats the culprit to bad image quality.

Just wanted a nice unit with apple CarPlay and this does that nicely for the money. Sounds great in my Expedition that is factory amplified. Only complaint is I would like to have custom wallpaper but haven’t been able to load any. The manual and online all say you can with this unit from a flash drive. Not sure why they won’t load.

The touch sensitivity of the sony media receiver is awesome. I can operate the media player using both touchscreen and physical key. My Camry 2011 has a basic sound system, hence the sound quality is decent. I can use both apple car and android auto using a wired cable. It does not support wireless apple play or android auto connectivity. However, the wired connection is smooth, even I can cast my iPhone 11 pro max. I am satisfied with the player. I think it is best for its price range.

Excellent Radio. Love the physical buttons at the bottom of the radio. Andriod auto and apple car play work perfect and sound out of this radio is excellent. Radio does not scratch and holds up well over time unlike other radios from other manufactures. Would buy again.

Love, love, love it. Easy to use, gave me everything i needed for my 2004 F350. Free install was a bonus. The Bluetooth phone is crisp, the rear camera was needed, SiriusXM works great, and i can listen to all my albums on the USB drive. Highly recommend

We installed this Digital stereo on a 06 Chevy Avalanche as a gift for dad. He loved it! We purchased all the parts at Best buy and they offered free installation. I went to the store and they let me know if this particular model fits my vehicle and what other parts I may need(Such as the antenna or install kit). The Stereo is bright. It does have a small glare during day time but its not too bad. This stereo also has a mic, it works nice and captures audio pretty good. This stereo has a usb available to use with carplay so we added this usb port to the instalation. Carplay use is great!

This is the best radio i have ever bought its user friendly sounds amazing and installed nice i love this and would recommend
