Chris and Stefan were friendly, accommodating and did an excellent job of installing the Pioneer Apple CarPlay unit in my 2014 Camry. Chris took all the time I needed to go over the functions of my new unit. Great job, guys!!

I have an older large SUV and wanted to replace the existing radio with something more modern. I decided on this unit because of the price and the fact that it works both with Android and Apple phones. It also can be connected to a backup camera, which is another item I had installed on my SUV. It fits perfectly in my SUV. It works great but there is one flaw that drives me nuts. The mute button doesn't actually mute the radio receiver. I have to manually set the volume to zero. The unit does mute the radio if I get a call on my phone but if someone else wants to use their phone, the mute button lowers the volume but doesn't actually mute it. It is for this reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

I bought this for my 16 year old because of how simple it is. The icons on the touchscreen are large and easy to identify. Switching between functions only requires one tap. We added a backup camera which integrated perfectly. Great sound, and easy to use. I highly recommend.

First, I am grateful for the polite and caring Geek Squad guys in the mobile department of the Cumming, Georgia store. This is my first aftermarket radio (at least in modern times), and was impressed about the systematic way it was installed - a great job! I thought this item would be a good idea for safety (and legal) reasons - in Georgia it is illegal to be grasping a phone while driving, and I am a long time Spotify, Pandora, Podcast client, etc user. A good idea, but was also expecting for this to be a compromise, because first of all, I thought it would not look that good. I thought there would be a big bezel appearance to fill up the dash hole, and that would scream AFTERMARKET, and I like the original look in my cars; however, that did not happen, it looks very much like it belongs, and it takes up most of the space formerly occupied by the Ford Shaker 500 double din stereo in my 2007 Mustang. Another reason for apprehension was some reports of glitchy operation. I have had virtually all smooth operation, This may be because I am benefiting from the fact I acquired a new iPhone right before the radio, and perhaps the Sony plays nicer with the more recent handset. Third, I thought the sound quality may not be as good. I always liked the stock radio’s sound. Happy again, because the Sony is just as good, to say the least, and I think it sounds better when playing loud material. I highly recommend this item.

Screen is beautiful. Fast start up time. Although the screen is capacitive, it does not support 2 finger gestures. That would have been a great feature for maps

My radio went out and decided to get a new one with apple CarPlay. They were out of the one I original wanted but suggested the Sony, and I couldn’t be happier. I love that it’s simple and easy to use. I don’t have any unnecessary features and so far I haven’t had any issues with this product. I would highly recommend this radio if you’re looking for CarPlay or android auto. Backup camera works great as well. This one was less expensive than what I was going to go with, so it’s a win win!

this thing has some flaws, mostly it bothers me that it doesn't auto dim. it's pretty bright at night, and the only way to dim it is to go through several menu options to the dimmer page. Sounds great, with lots of customizations for your preferences. display is crisp-ish. does support movie file play back, but only at lower resolutions. Tried to play some HD content, but only got 5 or 6 frames per second on it. making the movie very choppy and totally unwatchable.

Very responsive and bright display. Andorid Auto is a life saver and works great in my car. Side note: Make sure to buy a quality 10Gbps USB cable as otherwise, the connection will keep dropping. All in all, very satidified with my purchase.

Coming from a stock 2005 f150 radio to this is night and day. It sounds great, looks great, and adds too many features to mention. I really like the screen, I played around with some other cheaper units and did not like their plastic resistive touch screen, this one has a glass (or maybe rigid plastic? not sure) capacitive touch screen that works flawlessly.

Got it installed really like it . Its easy functions tech friendly i thought is was gonna be small for my evo x but it was perfect will recommend

It replaced my factory 4runner stereo and it has blown me away so far. Android auto is flawless with a high quality USB c cable and voice commands work well. Spotify works pretty well on it with a few kinks to get used to but no complaints. It even makes my speakers sound clearer and more crisp. I highly recommend this head unit!

Capacitive screen is the way to go. Good audio quality. Great look. Easy to navigate menu. Very happy with my purchase. If you're considering this over the 3000, don't hesitate to get this one. The screen difference is a big deal.

I purchased this unit to replace my factory stereo in my 2011 Honda Fit for two reasons: 1) the capacitive screen (the only mid-range unit with such a feature), and 2) Android Auto. The installation was performed by the Geek Squad and went smoothly. Unfortunately, while all other features worked well, the main one, Android Auto, never worked as intended. When I connected my phone (Note 9) running Android Oreo to the stereo, Android Auto launched normally but stopped working after 5 minutes. I upgraded the firmware of the head unit to the latest version, but no improvement, Android Auto systematically stopped working and put the unit on standby after 5 minutes of use. Overall, I'm very unhappy with this Sony unit and I had to return it. If you want a stereo with Android Auto, I suggest getting the Kenwood DDX6705s, that I purchased to replace the Sony. It operates flawlessly and seems to be of much higher quality.

Very good unit, I just love apple car play, works great for me.

The head unit worked flawlessly for the first month. But lately when you are using apple CarPlay and switch the app back to music, the song skips forward a few seconds and it doesn’t sound pretty.

I love this radio it does almost everything i need it to. I just wish you could watch videos/youtube while driving but hey we're supposed to be safe.

Works great with my 2015 Corolla! It was installed with no issues whatsoever.
