I purchased this blu-ray player with the intent to kick of my home theater project and to replace my PS3 as my main unit for blu-ray and internet content. To this point I am exceptionally pleased with this systems overall performance and speed. Compared to other sony players and many less expensive players this does an outstanding job in outperforming them in: speed of processes (because of the dual core processor), sound quality, and video quality (because of its 4K upscaling capabilities). I may seem pricy at first, but it is of the upmost quality and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in peak technology.

This player does more than I'll ever need....but for the small difference, in price, for the upgrade from its lower-end model, I figured "what the hell...". And btw; if you have a 4K tv, WITH THE PROPER HIGH-END 4K HDMI CABLES, the "Ultra HD - to 4K Upscaling" really works! THAT is what I like most...

Purchased this with new Sony 4K TV for 3D movies. Hooks up easily and works well with Sony TV. Loads faster than my last Blu Ray player. Easy to use but overall not much better than my previous player which was half the price but no 3D feature.

Excellent Blu Ray player from Sony paired with my Sony 4K 65 inch TV. I had the Sony 6200 but it was giving me some trouble (freezing issues that many have reported on the Best Buy site,Amazon site,AVS Forums and Sony site themselves reported it) so I exchanged for the ("double" priced) Sony 7200 and couldn't be happier. It is a more substantial player than the 6200 was, back and front are noticeably better and even the remote is heavier than the one supplied with the 6200 model. NOTE: I would leave QUICK START in the menus set to OFF. I feel that setting it to ON causes the freezing issues. Some others have reported this has been a problem since Sony introduced the QUICK START feature that it created freezing issues. So keep it set to OFF and you won't have any worries. Only slightly by about 30 seconds longer to start the player once you turn it on. But setting QUICK START to OFF does not effect anything else-not streaming...not loading...not the Apps..only a few seconds more at start up. Not terrible at all. And no more freezing issues...Get the 7200 you won't be disappointed at picture, audio, nor 4K upscaling (which my Sony 65 inch 4K TV does anyway).

This sony could be a great player if it wouldn't freeze periodically and you have to unplug it to get it back to working. has great features and quality picture and sound and i do really like it, but this is my third one because of glitches. first one was a total nightmare from the first day i used it, second one made it a month. third one, so far after a month with this one its been working flawless,probably just jinked myself but bought the extended warranty so it will go back if there's issues. hopefully i finally got a good one. other than freezing up its a great player. loads fast and has countless streaming options. build quality is better than their cheaper models, I do wish it had buttons on the player,all you get is power and eject so if you lose the remote you are screwed. I don't understand what sony was thinking here. just make sure you buy the extended warranty,you will probably need it.

I've played with a lot of different dvd/bluray players over the past few years, and Sonys are absolutely the best. Their user interface is simple, and the start up is quick. Settings allow you plenty of room to customize, although it's setup great right out of the box. I paired it with my OLED tv using a monster hdmi, and it's absolutely stunning.

This blue ray player compliments my Sony TV very well. It is flawless, sharp and easy to operate.

We upgraded to a Smart TV, so we decided to make the switch to Blu-Ray while we were at it. This Sony player had already received good reviews and it was priced reasonably as well. We are very pleased with this purchase! The picture on our Sony TV is incredible! The details are amazing and we are watching movies in Blu-Ray that we've seen as regular DVD's in the past and are thrilled with the added details and clarity.

I have had great luck with the Sony blu Ray players . I have a s790 which I love a s5500 and added the s7200 as a backup for the eventual demise of the 790. There are different features in each which serve a useful pourpose to me . The only one I ever had issues with was the 6200 which I returned . Sony makes the best for the price

I upgraded to this Blu-Ray player at the same time as purchasing a 55" Sony 4K HDTV, and the connection of the two is gorgeous. The built-in Wi-Fi works very well and the player itself renders and upscales incredible graphics and sound. Great apps and interconnectivity.

I purchased the Sony - BDPS7200 player after my older LG player began not playing disc it had previously played. Overall pleased with this upgrade as I've begun watching a lot more movies lately. I don't have a 4K capable TV so I have no knowledge of the players upscaling features, but the standard 1080P Blu-rays rock on this player.

You wouldn't think that replacing one BluRay player with another would be That big of a difference. But this Sony unit is absolutely nothing short of Amazing! Hands down, a Great Buy. I have a 55" 4K Sony TV and they go Great together!!

I've always been a loyal Sony fan and this Blu-ray player is a great value for the money.It's a must have for your new Sony 4K TV and because it's a Sony they "talk" to each other.....a great addition to your home theater experience.

The Sony Streaming 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player is extremely high tech and provides the user with unsurpassed crisp movie enjoyment. I immediately could tell the difference in comparison to my last Blue Ray player

This Sony 3D Blu Ray player is great with my new 3D TV. The movies are amazing. The streaming options are great too. I highly recommend it for all movies and Netflix watching especially if you have the 4K Sony Has Lyra 3D TV.

We bought this unit because of the up and coming 4 K programming, its 3D features, and other options the receiver has to offer. Unfortunately at this time we have not been able to use the unit to its capacity but are pleased with the functionality so far.

This unit was recommended by a sales associate at Best Buy and I am happy with the purchase. It upscales my Blu-Rays nicely to my 4K tv and the 3D is crisp. If I had a complaint it would be that not all the apps I use with my ROKU are available through Sony.

I had an older (3-4 Years) Blu-Ray player. Didn't care for it much, it sometimes would just refuse to play a movie, especially Blu-Ray movies. This Sony is rock solid, it plays perfect, with both Blu-Ray and DVD, awesome video and audio output.

This blu Ray player has such excellent quality and upgrades DVDs to 4 K. We are becoming movie junkies, since between the TV and blu Ray it feels like a movie theater. Excellent quality.
