SUPER COMFY!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic headset! Super comfortable and the 3D sound is so helpful in games especially FPS. Also it’s nice not having a mic blocking my beer hole. Only thing I wish was that it was a little louder and had more bass for the gunshots and explosions but that’s just me. All in all a definitive 5 stars though. I’m glad I didn’t go aftermarket these are so easy to use, you just turn them on and they connect.

Sounds good on the PS4 Pro but where's the bass?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I get started I know these are designed for the PS5 audio technology but wanted to see how they sounded with my PS4 Pro. I currently own a hyper Cloud X2 headset. I wished the hyper Cloud X2 had more Bass but I got used to it. These are really the only headphones I can compare the Sony Pulse headphones to in the same price range. I also know the hyper Cloud X2 is not wireless and was not designed with the technology that Sony has in the pulse head phones. The games I tested these on are Shadow of the Colossus and Resident Evil 7. The headphones are lightweight, the ear cuffs are very comfortable and it does a good job of noise-canceling which the hyperx cloud II really doesn't do that much. The plug-and-play USB adapter was nearly instantaneous. It did everything it needed to without me having to do anything except to plug it in. That was pretty cool! It comes with a 3.5 mm Jack so you can plug it into other things which is how my hyperx cloud II does. By looking really hard I see that the left and right sides are marked in the black headband which leaves all the controls on the left cup. Game, chat, monitor, volume, Mic button, the charge cable plug, the audio jack, and the power button are all here. It will take some getting used to in order to use them on the fly but everything has a learning curve. Buttons seem to coincide with the system settings so you actually do not have to go into your system settings to adjust anything it seems. I was in the system settings and noticed that the levels were raised and lowered as I was using the buttons on the headset which is how I figured this out. This is because I wanted it to be louder. This will give you a pretty good setup. Last thing to let you know is that I'm not really an online gamer yet so my intentions were to have an immersive set to really get me into the games especially the horror games. However, I did try the microphone settings and they were the best I've ever heard. Truly! But, again, not into the online game in just yet but these probably would be up everyone's alley if that was the case! When playing Shadow of the Colossus the environmental sounds for the intro were absolutely amazing. I noticed a better sense of direction than my hyper Cloud X2 meaning that the effects sounded more separate from the other sounds instead of mangled. The crisp sound of the horses hooves, the direction of the wind blowing in one ear and the other as I turned, the sound of leaves in the trees blowing all were pretty phenomenal. I've been playing Resident Evil 7 for hours at a time here and there for the last 2 weeks including the DLC content. This is where I noticed that the bass sound wasn't very intense. When I compared it to my hyper Cloud X2, the Pulse did not sound as good. What I mean is, in my hyper Cloud X2 it wasn't as crisp and separated as the pulse unfortunately but the bass was definitely better. And for horror games that bass is Paramount for my experience. When I first was using my hyper Cloud X2 the bass was not that great either. Now that I've gotten used to it I guess I don't notice as much but I had a $25 onimuka headset, if I got the name right, that had really good bass and even a volume control on the headphones which my hyper Cloud X2 does not have. Anyhow, I really wish the bass was better in my hyper cloud but the bass in my hyper cloud is noticeably a lot better than the Sony Pulse headphones. Playing the end of Zoe DLC, the crisp sounds in my hyper Cloud X 2 was not as good as in the pulse but that bass really made it more intense. I purposefully got mauled by the alligators just to see how I reacted and the hyper Cloud X2 was a lot better for immersion simply because of the bass. I don't mind trading a little bit of the spatial sound and crisp sound for the extra Bass. Therefore, since I do not have a PlayStation 5 and may not get one for a while I don't really need this headset. But I can tell with what I've listened to so far that with the technology they claim to have in the PS5 this will wind up being a very awesome headset. Unless the bass will still be an issue which base seems to be an issue in a lot of headsets. For a hundred bucks I prefer to just continue to use my hyper Cloud X only because it has better bass and that is important to me. If these headphones had better bass I would definitely do a 5 star rating. But without having a PS5 I can't really say if that's just a PS4 issue or a headphone issue. I am sure that these headphones will be in stock by the time I can get a PS5 so I will most likely be returning these and picking them up again in the future when I actually have a PS5. Lastly, the volume doesn't seem as loud as My hyperx Cloud 2 at the highest volume settings so that was another thing they gave me a :-( To sum it up, the Sony Pulse 3D wireless headset has great crisp sounds on the PS4 Pro with a noticeable difference in the spatial sound separation. Plug-and-play was quick and brainless, the headset is very light and Wireless and the noise cancellation really helps keep that background noise out. Plus the microphone sound is the best I've ever heard . Unfortunately, it doesn't get as loud as my hyper Cloud X2 headphones nor is the bass very deep which cuts down on inmersion for me. And since I wanted a headphone experience and not much of an online gaming competition experience, that immersion especially for horror games needs better Bass. Knowing that these Pulse Headphones were designed for the PS5 and not the PS4 I knew it was a Gamble, I just had to cure my curiosity. I will continue to keep my hyper Cloud X2 and return these pulse headphones only because I don't expect to get a PS5 before they're back in stock on the regular. Once I read reviews about how they sound in an actual PS5, especially in regards to the bass, I can make a better decision. Button with app that bass being much better it's just not going to work for me. I rate Sony's Pulse 3D wireless headset for the PS5 as Four stars out of five

Absolutely worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely incredible in comfort, sound, and ease of use. For games, general use/browsing and movies on the playstation 5, I think this headset is a winner in all fronts, just wish it would be a little louder. That being said, I’ve seen reviews stating that this headsets will not provide the best listening experience for music, but I have to disagree. The 3D audio engineering from the software gives songs a whole new perspective that is making these my main driver for listening to albums, even though I own a pair of Audio Technica’s for music recording purposes. An absolute steal as long as you get them for the listing price.

Very good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery life is pretty good, i dont know if im deaf, but it is not that loud, i like loud headphones, sometimes i use the beat by dre Pro and let me tell you, they are LOUD, but this ones are light, very comfort, you can hear every noice with the 3D options on the PS5, i will recommend them if you are married and you want to play in peace without listening your wife complaining.

Good headset, good audio. Feels good.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many of the other reviews I have read say that these headphones may be uncomfortable. It may really be a preference thing because I think they feel great. I would suggest asking around to see if you can demo how they feel. The audio quality is great, though I wish I could have a bit more bass and a tad more volume. Also, when using on PC, system audio control does not control the headset's volume.

Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great product. The battery life is pretty good, but I don't play more than a few hours at a time FYI. I personally would've liked it if the volume could go a little higher, but other than that, they don't hurt my ears or anything. I also have not tried using the microphone because I don't play online. It's easy to set up and get connected, no muss no fuss. All in all, it's a nice pair of headphones. It could be a little cheaper in my opinion, but I'm not a headphone connoisseur so I could be wrong.

Excellent Headphone Setup
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, a fantastic headphone setup for sure. I am a little disappointed with how much volume I can get out of it. I can max the volume dial and it works, but I would think that I would have a little more wiggle room. $100 for these is kind of steep and you might do better to get an open-box item that Best Buy says, “Looks brand new!” Most of the times people just return items because it’s not what they were hoping for, not because they damaged it and are returning it. So, you can get a forced “sale” price with an open box. Sony products work with Sony products and that’s what this headphone is designed for, especially for the 3d sound effect. Great headphone setup - but maybe see if you can get an open-box item and save $20.

Not bad 3D pulse headphone
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 3D Pulse is a very comfortable headset. The foam around the ears is full and soft around the ears. The headphones stay away from the expand/lock design and use a rubber headband approach which feels better. The sound quality is decent. It’s not anything mind blowing. You can connect wireless or via audio Jack. I do notice in terms of loudness it’s not that loud (maybe this is done purposely). It’s decent sounding when playing games, watch tv but again nothing mind blowing. You don’t get a small cloth case but u do get a USB and audio Jack. The button controls are located around the ears with functional buttons. The sell for me is the fit and design of the headphones. For a $100 bucks....it’s ok. I’m sure u can get better headphones cheaper but I figure Its Sony “made” for the PS5 so they can’t be bad. Good overall headphone for the new PS5 and good for late nite when you can’t play too loud.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are super comfortable and I sometimes forget I’m wearing them. Sound quality is great and they look good too. I didn’t give five stars because I wish the volume could be turned up just a touch, but other than that these are great.

Missing important bass present in Gold
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gotta say I was sold after reading everything on these. I'm sending them back. They may be perfect if not compared , but, the first thing I did after playing awhile was look to see if I could raise the over all volume. Volume full, game/chat set full to game. I used photo mode in Ghost of Tsushima . PS Gold headset is notably louder max volume and of more importance to me, with bass boost/volume on 2 instead of 1, the thunder and fading rumble was DEFINITEVELY better sounding on Gold than Pulse. I will try to find a set with Tempest 3d that has better bass and max volume. One other gripe is that the with all the buttons and switches the set has, it lacks easy to locate volume adjustment. This was done better on previous gen headsets IMO

Awesome!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was long overdue for new headphones since my A40s are 5+ years old and the mic was no longer working. I did some researching and I was a bit indecisive on buying these. However, I ended up getting them and honestly they are amazing. I did not want to spend $200+ for some headphones so these were in my budget. My only issue is that I wish I can increase the volume just a bit but overall these are very nice and worth the money.

Good User friendly Headphones
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really do enjoy these headphones. They are very easy to use. Just plug in the dongle to the PS5 and turn on headset and thats it. Sound is pretty good overall. Just wish it had a little more pop. The volume doesnt get too loud. Feels like its missing a few more volume notches. Still playing around with it to see if I can make it louder and a bit more crisp. Only game I've played on it so far is the PS5 Ghost of Tsushima Directors cut version. Dont believe that has the Sony 3d Sound feature
