It is so awesome and possibly the best headphones in terms of noise cancellation. They easily block out noise in my household when I’m doing homework, and I use them when I play video games as well, when I say they are awesome, they ARE awesome. Ever since purchasing I use them everyday, and they’re quite addicting to use as well. Another thing is they are lightweight. I promise you when you hold them it almost feels like you’re holding nothing, that’s how light they are! When putting them on as well, you barely can tell that you’re wearing them, they don’t leave your ears sore or anything like that, I’ve worn them for hours and not once did I have to adjust them or take them off because I was getting tired of them. They are worth it, trust me.

I have AirPods and these headphones but bought these headphones because I sometimes wanted that “I’m listening to something go away” look. These headphones do the job and are very light weight comprised to the apl ones and other Sony headphones. I bought the white versions so they do stain easy but also wipe off as quick.

Great travel headphones

You can hardly hear anything from your surroundings, which is a great feature for people that have flying anxiety. They’re very light and can fit flat in your carry on, if you don’t want to carry the carrying case.

Sound quality is great, battery lasts and charges quickly, lightweight, and my favorite part is that ambient noise does not get through when I’m on calls which makes it a game changer at the office or if I’m ok calls at coffee shops!

I own several Sony products, but this headset has become my favorite. Now for the GOOD things. It comes with a cable to convert from wireless to wired headset. The feel is very smooth like silk or silicon cover. In addition, the battery life and range distance are great compared to my in-ear set. It comes with a nice carrying case with is of good quality. One of the best features is the auto on/off of the noise cancellation control. When I start talking, ambient sound comes on and will stop the music. Once I stop talking noise cancelling restarts and so does music. Despite a few things that are not great, the app is easy to use and full of useful features including turning off the headset from the phone. It is a very light weight and very comfortable headset worth of any music lover consideration. The controls and instructions to use them are clear and easy to follow both in print and online. A couple to things I should mention that I do not like but are not worth removing a start. First, it is not water resistant, second the app has the 360 sound feature that it does create a better listening experience but it is too invasive by taking pics of one's ears. The second is that is does not have a complete noise canceling, it is more like a noise reducing capability. While it does reduce the ambient sound significantly, the noise cancelling is not so as effective as the in-ear Sony headset I have. The charging cable is extremely short for such high end headset. It's a very nice, soft, comfortable great sounding headset full with nice features.

Sony XM5 Headphones

A major upgrade! These headphones are super comfortable and fit over my big head with no issues. Secondly, the sound quality is incredible along with the Ambient mode. The acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) feels super high-end and provides a unique feel to the headphones even though it's made from recycled plastic. Microphones are great for calls while noise cancellation blocks out background noise well. Although they don't fold like previous iterations, they're lighter than previous versions. I picked them up around Christmas while they were on sale and they're a must-have!

My favorite part though is the touch controls. The right earpiece is an invisible touch pad. So searching around for buttons is not required like with most other headphones. Just use swipe or double tap commands to control volume, pause, skip tracks, etc. Also when you cover the right earpiece with your hand, it disables noise cancelling and lowers the volume on your content so you can easily hear plane announcements, or have a conversation with another passenger or the flight attendant, Taking off the headphones will pause your content, and it starts right back up when you put the headphones back on.

Theyre lightweight, have exceptional noise cancelation, and outstanding even sound from bottom to top range. Nothing overpowering, just great even sound. My daughter got a pair of the apple airpod max, and while theyre extremely close, i definitely prefer these due to the fact that theyre more comfortable for an extended period of listening. And the battery life is unbelievable - lasts for days. Highly recommended.

Lightweight and a joy to listen to for hours

But when I listened to them, they felt artificially boosted and somewhat tinny sounding. This is where the Sony's shined and ultimately won me over. The sound is natural, even, clean and crisp. And if you're looking for a little extra, the iOS Headphones Connect app works brilliantly for fine-tuning the sound. I listened to these headphones for 2 weeks and hardly used 40% of battery. They're lightweight, great to talk on the phone with and a joy to use. You won't regret this!

These are lightweight sound quality is great and very comfortable! The carrying case is great for flights. I was between these and airpods max, the portability of these is better than airpods max and sound quality sounds better on these! All the way sony nice work!
