Portable Fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For such a small speaker this versatile Bluetooth speaker has a lot to like. Combined with the Soundcore app and Party cast this speaker offers more options and outperforms most other speakers in its class. The new light ring in this Pro model adds another level of fun to Bluetooth portable speakers. Pros: - Good sound quality for a speaker this size. The speaker output is via the top so the sound is top heavy versus other speakers that are side or bottom firing. -Light Ring adds fun to the music - Soundcore App offers total control and flexibility. One of the better Bluetooth speaker apps out there. - Water proof and very portable with a carry strap - Ability to Party Cast to 100 other speakers and it does Party Cast to other Soundcore models - Good speaker phone and microphone audio quality Cons: - Buttons on the side are hard to find. The control buttons are rubberized black icons on a black background which makes it tough to find them intuitively or in low light. Speaker: The speaker looks and feels solid. It has some weight but its round sides makes it easy to grasp . It’s too big to fit in a jean’s pocket but drops easily into the cargo pockets on my cargo pants. I’ve carried it around the house while doing projects. Using this speaker I can keep my phone safely tucked away from the action and set out the speaker so I can enjoy an audible book or music while I work. Since its water proof its the go-to speaker for a beach or pool day. It’s a great solution for adding music to the patio when the kids want to dance. The speaker provides good sound dispersion and provides a fair amount of bass with the bass boost on for a speaker this size. Because the speaker is top firing these are great to set on a table or even on the ground. The controls are on the sides towards the bottom and it is the only issue I have with this speaker. The power, volume down, multifunction, volume up and Bluetooth buttons are rubberized mechanical buttons that have icons molded over the button. They are extremely difficult to locate in low lighting and not the easiest to find even though the power button does have a small led light next to it. The rubberized coating is good for water proofing but it makes it more difficult to locate the buttons. This can really a problem if you are using the speaker as a speaker phone because the multipurpose button is the answer button. The audio quality and microphone quality are quite good as a speaker phone. The advertised battery life is 15 hours but I think the actual number of hours depends on the user and the use of the light ring, The speaker has a light ring that really make this speaker stand out. There are multiple light functions in the app to choose from and you can actually pick the colors to use in the rings. I also have a Soundcore Flare 2 and its fairly easy to have it and this Mini 3 Pro party cast together playing the same music. Soundcore App: This has to be one of the best apps for portable speakers. Its simple to understand and it offers great control over the speaker and light ring. The app has three main pages; Equalizer, Home and Light settings. The home page allows you to power off the speaker, check the battery level, play or pause the music and set the volume. The equalizer page has four preset equalizer settings as well as a custom preset that lets you fully customize the equalizer. You can also turn on the bass boost which really does make an impact on the sound quality. The light page has 5 preset lighting patterns. Within some of the patterns you can choose which colors to use which makes the light rings totally customizable to your taste.

Great Bass, USB C, Waterproof Speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am increasingly amazed by how good Anker Soundcore audio equipment is, the sound is amazing. This is a small speaker (about 3" tall) but packs a strong pounding bass. On my desk at work, I can literally feel the bass vibrate. It's a rich, quality speaker on on par with brands that have a long history and legacy in the audio space. Pairing is straight forward. It's Bluetooth. There's no forced push of the app, but I recommend the Soundcore app. It's free, doesn't require registration to use, has a great user experience, and you can control the lights, tune the equalizer, etc. I didn't feel any need to tune the sound, it's perfectly balanced for my tastes and playback via Spotify was awesome. Soundcore rate the speaker for 15 hours playback. I have got 2 work days out of it, background audio all day, so the 14 hours feels right. It's also USB C powered! wohoo! It's also IPX7 rated which means you can submerge it underwater for 30minutes. Or if you want a speaker to use in the bathroom to listen to podcasts etc. then this is for you. As for the lights. I actually don't mind them. The light pattern can be customized using the Soundcore app. The lights are nice. You can turn them off. I keep it as a solid breathing color, which just makes the speaker interesting on your desk. Definitely recommend. I have no hesitation in recommending Soundcore to anyone. It would be my first choice for audio these days.

Big Sound Small Package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For starters, this thing is half the size of a standard water bottle and packs the punch of a speaker 3 times its size. It’s a bite-sized bundle of bass. Not only that, but it can be cranked to its highest volume and it won’t even distort the sound. There's a Bass-up feature that gives off a crisp hum to help you feel the music as it kicks you in your ear holes. Next, let’s talk about that water bottle that I spoke of earlier. You can pour that water into a glass of your choosing(amazing, I know) and drop the Mini 3 Pro inside and the music is still as crystal clear as that water. Yes. It is fully water resistant, with an IPX 7 rating. It’s straight up submergible. As you can see, from the image above. It does maintain the strap from the standard Mini 3, but it also added Soundcore’s signature Party Proof lights that will dazzle you with the bass driven lightshow. It’s really a delight to behold. The Mini 3 Pro is boxed with a 2 ft USB-C to A cable, no charging brick, but at this point, you should have tons of those things laying around, from old smartphones and what not. At least, that’s what everyone is banking on. No one really puts bricks in the box anymore. Who’s It For Basically, the Soundcore Mini 3 Pro is for anyone that listens to music from their smartphone(EVERYONE). Those that want to have tunes going as they work in the office or in the garage around the workbench or while gardening. It can be used while on hikes or driving your golf cart or gator. Basically anything with a cupholder. It can go with you in any weather. And with an approximately 15 hour battery, you won’t run out of juice anytime soon. It’s small. You may want something a lil’ bit bigger, if that’s your thing. I live in Texas and y’all know what they say. Everything’s bigger here and you may want your speakers to be the same way. Again, there’s charging brick, so you’ll need to accommodate that for yourself. And the final issue is the speaker can be used as a mic, while on phone calls. This can be a good or bad thing. Depending on where you are and who’s around you. You may not want to share your business with the whole room. The sound is really clear, just sayin’. The Verdict The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro will run you $39.99 USD and I personally think that’s a little high, for its size. But it is an upgrade from the last iteration. Can you get a cheaper speaker? Yes you can. You may even be able to find a better sounding speaker at this price, but I doubt that you’ll be able to link up to 100 of those busters together to crank the block. No, I don’t think you will, unless it says Soundcore. Anker has been doing that with their latest line of Party Proof speakers, and you know what? That’s pretty cool. The only caviaught is that you’ll need to have multiples of the same kind of speaker to get that explosive surround sound. If something changes, I’ll update this, but for now, this is where we stand. I think this would make for a great gift for that coworker in the office that would rather hear the music from their phone, than finding a streaming site on the work computer. Or even that nice mail carrier on your block. Those mail trucks don’t have stereos. With all of the pros and cons considered, I’m going to have to give the Soundcore Mini 3 Pro an average rating. I’d say spend the extra few bucks and get a Flare mini or something more beefy like the Rave Neo. I don't think I could recommend this one, even though it it did improve on the already good design.

Great sound, itty bitty speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t think of any other portable Bluetooth speaker that comes anywhere near this little guy. I have a few Bluetooth speakers around my home, and some smart speakers as well. My portable speakers aren’t quite this small, which is what drew me to picking one of these up. I was blown away from the moment I started playing music on it. My initial impression when I took this speaker out of the box was, “Wow! This thing is tiny!” My second thought was "man it has some heft to it." This speaker has amazing build quality. It looks great, and the bottom third is covered in rubber. This is the area that has the controls and the charging port. Buttons are hard to see, but after a while, they are easy to feel out by touch. You can easily change volume, control music (play/pause, skip, etc.), and initialize Smart Assistant. There is also a way to connect up to 100 of these speakers together in what they call PartyCast Mode, but sadly I only have one at this time. I’m sure connecting 100 at once would be awesome! Where I was really blown away was when I started playing music. I really was not expecting how loud and rich the sound was from something so small. Again, I have Alexa Dots, HomePod Minis, and Google Home speakers around the house, so I was guessing the sound would be comparable to those since they were around the same size. This tiny speaker sounds so much better. You can adjust the EQ to different modes. You get 4 different preset modes, but you can also customize your EQ by toggling 9 different sound ranges. I left it on the default, Soundcore Signature, mode and think that sounds fantastic. I had thought I would just use this little speaker when I left the house and at work, but I have ended up just carrying it around the house as well. I prefer using this over any of my smart home speakers. I love the sound that comes out of this device. This is such an easy recommendation to anyone looking for an ultraportable speaker. Build quality is fantastic, IPX7 water proofing so you can use outside and by the pool, the sound is amazing and can be tweaked for your specific listening style. All of this paired up with a USB-C charging port, 15 hour long battery life, and a cost that is a fraction of most off the market, makes this speaker the one to beat in this category.

Amazing mini speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Anker Soundcore speaker, and I am amazed by this new Mini 3. The sound quality and the bass will blow you away from this small device. You can feel the bass, and astonishingly, sometimes it moves when the bass drops hard. It is tiny, just about four finders tall, the circumference is smaller than a soda can, and the overall size is ⅔ of a soda can. Simple esthetical design with all the basic buttons: power, minus/plus volume, Bluetooth, and the Soundcore play. It is a portable size and lightweight, fits perfectly in most places, like cup holders. It has a lanyard and using a carabiner, you can hang it anywhere. When working on my yard, I use a carabiner and clip the speaker to one of my pant’s belt loops. After a complete charge, it is a simple and instant connection/setup. I highly recommend using the Soundcore App for an enhanced experience and to perform a firmware update on the mini speaker. Using the app allows you to more control, like future firmware updates, customized sound and light, check battery level, adjust volume, and equalizer settings. What I like the most about the app is the LÜM music streaming service. LÜM is Soundcore’s official music streaming partner and is included with the app for free. It has a great selection of music from the various playlist; my favorite playlist is “House Party”. To conclude, this is quite loud and better on the bass than other small portable speakers. Great for jamming music anywhere you can play music, and with the water-resistance feature, you are free to do whatever you want to do with it.

Surprisingly great sound in a small size
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.## Design The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro is about the size of a cup of coffee. The dimensions are 2.8 x 2.8 x 3.6 inches. The buttons are located towards the bottom of the speaker and can be a little difficult to see as the symbols are black on a black background, so you may find yourself holding the speaker up to a light in order to find the power button. There is an LED light ring on the top of the speaker, along with a very convenient carrying strap that is permanently attached to the speaker. This makes it easy to carry the speaker with you or hang it to something like a hook or tree branch. The round design of the speaker allows you to enjoy your music from any angle. ## Sound Quality The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro sounds surprisingly good given the small size! The mids and highs come through best, but when the speaker is sitting near a wall, it really kicks up the bass and enhances the lows nicely. The bass also sounds good sitting on a table or other flat surface. The bass decreases a little bit when you're carrying the speaker or hanging it up, but music still sounds great. If you find that the bass is too strong when it is sitting up against a wall, you can turn off the "BassUp" feature with the Soundcore app. Obviously, it's not going to sound as good as a much larger speaker, but it's more than adequate for personal listening at home or for a small group of friends having dinner on the deck, for example. I'm still surprised that this speaker is only 6 watts! ## Features - Carrying strap: I owned the original Soundcore Mini 1 speaker and bought a case for it that had a carrying strap so I could hang it from my backpack while hiking. I'm happy to see that the Soundcore Mini Pro 3 has a built-in carrying strap, so no additional accessory is needed to hang it! - Lighting modes: There are several lighting modes for the two LED light rings: Party Time, Phasing Beats, Bouncing Beats, Circle Beam, and Cool Breath. The lighting modes can be changed by using the Soundcore app. The app also gives you some additional options for the built-in animations, which are mainly just selecting different color options. You can also turn off the lights by quickly tapping the power button. - PartyCast: You can link this speaker up to 100 other Soundcore speakers with "PartyCast" technology, which is mainly limited to Soundcore's newer speakers. Please note that this is not True Wireless Stereo sound as all of the linked speakers will play the same thing (not one specific audio channel). To use PartyCast with other Soundcore PartyCast enable speakers: 1. First, pair one speaker to your phone as normal and leave it on and connected. This will be your "primary" speaker. 2. On this primary speaker, hold down the Bluetooth button for at least 2 seconds, until you hear two tones that sound like an echo. 3. Power on one of your "extra" Soundcore speakers. Hold down the Bluetooth button on it for 2 second until you hear the same two tones that sound like an echo. 4. On the "extra" speaker, DOUBLE TAP the Bluetooth button (don't hold it down this time). The extra speaker will then connect to your primary speaker and when you play music to the primary, you should hear it on the secondary speaker. - Water resistant: The Soundcore Mini Pro 3 has an IPX7 rating, which means it can be submerged in water (up to 3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes, so it's safe to use pool-side. ## Battery Life The Mini Pro 3 can last up to 15 hours on a single charge with the lights off. The speaker can be recharged with a USB-C cable (which is included) and a powered USB port or charger (not included). ## Summary The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro is a great speaker with surprisingly good sound and bass, and a cool LED light ring. It is water resistant, has long battery life, and can be wirelessly connected with additional PartyCast speakers.

packs a tiny punch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little mighty Soundcore Mini 3 Pro speaker can fill a room with sound even though it fits in the palm of your hand. The speaker itself has a very tough feeling build quality. I have no doubt that it can survive a fall from waist height. Anker claims that it is also water proof and dust proof and can survive a dunk in the pool. I didn't test that lol, but I did run it under the sink to clean off the dirt it picked up when I used it outside. It charges via usb C and battery life is great. I really like the cool RGB light ring on the top of it, it syncs to your music quite well and sets the mood for a lil get together or party. Sound quality is pretty impressive. I was expecting deeper bass, but considering it's no taller than an 8 oz can of soda, I'd say it sounds very good. Bass seems to sound better when you place the speaker on a surface that can resonate audio better. A table top for instance, or maybe onto of a hollow box. It get's pretty loud, but I found that the bass gets drowned out by Highs and Mids at max volume. Some speakers sound quality can get better after a "break in" period. So maybe after a few more hours of use, that will improve. But for its asking price, and size? I'd still say sound quality is excellent. I can't knock it. I plan on carrying this little guy with me to work and travel, You can turn off the light ring if it isn't your thing, It pairs quickly and easily with bluetooth and I didn't notice much audio latency when watching video with my phone. This little party animal is totally worth the money, especially if you just want a small rugged speaker to bring with you everywhere. It sounds great and looks very cool!

Versatile and powerful little speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little speaker is great. Its quite loud and sounds really clear. Nice compact size fits into cupholders nicely, so if you're on the water in a kayak or other boat, you can have your speaker secured The app is really cool because you can control the equalizer, light patterns, etc. I think the best part about this speaker is the versatility of the Soundcore line.. you can link up more speakers than you'd ever need even if they're different variations. In my case i have this mini pro 3 and the flare 2. i can set one up as the primary and the other as my secondary. If i pick up more of either kind, i can also add them to the chain to have music scattered throughout my area. super handy if you're boating in a pack, everyone can have a speaker and one person controlling the music. This is a feature lacking on other brands, many which require you to have the exact same model.

Small Size, Big Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Anker Souncore Mini 3 Pro is a dynamic sounding speaker, and fun little device to carry around. I was extremely impressed by a deep bass sound. The speaker vibrated in my hand as I played music which was a good surprise. Furthermore, my customizations to the sound through the Soundcore app immediately reflected in the speaker as I made my selections. The RGB lights are dazzling and sure to be a hit at any function. Setup was easy and execution was flawless. The waterproof functionality worked well, and the product has a lengthy battery life. I have no complaints. I was very satisfied with how this product performed.

Small and So Much Fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Anker - Soundcore Mini 3 Pro Portable Bluetooth Speaker in black is so much fun. Although I am 62 and pretty much past spontaneous partying, this hand sized speaker is really great. What is not to like. On a full charge this speaker will run for 15 hours, it is waterproof, vibrant with circulating colors to follow the beat of either the music playing or the voice sound of talk radio, and easily links to my devices when seeking Bluetooth signal. When I ordered this I first thought that I would Bluetooth tunes from my phone to this speaker and put it in the cup holder of my riding JD lawn tractor. And while that is still an option, However, I decided to use it in my shower and rock out to my favorite 70's disco and 80's music, the musical sounds from my teenage and early twenties. This speaker is so affordable at $39.99, so easy to transport, so easy to use, and most importantly, so much fun, it is even able to be linked to more of the same speakers for a fabulous sound and light show.

Nice portable speaker, not as loud as I hoped for
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our family is always in need for small portable speakers for our lifestyle. Whether in the shower, outside in the park, or because we live in a TownHome and can’t have the music playing too loud, we were really excited with Anker’s Soundcore Mini 3 Pro. We were impressed with the cylinder minimalistic design. Set up was really easy, having downloaded the Soundcore app. Connecting it to my iPhone was seamless and easy, and utilizing the app is actually an important feature to get the most out of this speaker. You can set up different color schemes based on preference, able to set up different sound settings to maximize audio, voice, music or custom. I guess I shouldn’t have expected too much out of this small speaker. The sound is decent, but the bass is very lacking and doesn’t have a crisp sound. It doesn’t have a smooth sound when you are playing loud music. Overall, we are happy with this little speaker. For the size it works well and we are happy, my expectations shouldn’t have been too high. The glowing lights that match the beat is a nice feature to have, my kids really enjoy that feature.

Small speaker, small price, big performance.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great little speaker for the price. I bought to use outside and in the garage due to its dust resistance and being essentially water proof. It also has a great battery life!Very easy to pair and operate and it works well with the Soundcore app. The light on top is a fun little extra feature. Unexpectedly good bass for the speaker size and overall sound quality is excellent and can be adjusted in the app equalizer. The speaker is upward firing and seems to keep the music contained to the area without bothering neighbors but it does seem to diminish the bass depth further away from it. I do wish the onboard control buttons were more raised so they were easier to feel and differentiate. Overall, I love this little speaker and it's been great to use for the first month or so I've had it.

DIFFICULT to pair, but sound quality is good for $
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the crisp sound quality when pumped up all the way. Very few speakers at this price point have this quality. One downside: It is EXTREMELY difficult to pair multiple Soundcore Mini 3 pros together. I almost returned all 3 that I bought after 4 hours of trying to pair them. It's still not easy to pair them even though I was finally able to pair them. The instructions provided on pairing multiple together are not correct, nor is the online instruction. In those, the flashing lights that are supposed to indicate different levels of the pairing process are not accuarate. I finally figured it out by pairing the main one to my phone, and then turning the other 2 on and pressing and holding the blue tooth button and clicking it until it makes a new sound indicating the pairing was successful. Range of pairing isn't the best. I paired 3 speakers together that all sit in one room each that are all next to each other. The main speaker is the middle room. But one of the other ones that I paired to that one seems to be very crackly. I wonder if the phone has to be within 20 ft of the main speaker to correctly bluetooth with the phone.

Decent speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Bluetooth speaker is a good little device to take anywhere you go. It is lightweight, portable, and easy to use. To turn on, press the power button and the device will turn on and start beeping signifying that it is looking for the Bluetooth connection. You can easily connect by going into your phone’s Bluetooth settings and connecting. You can also pair several of these speakers together to get more of a surround sound. To turn off, hold down the power button for about 2 seconds and the device will play a tune signifying that it is shutting down. The charging cable is a usb-c cable about 2 ft long. The device is also waterproof (I did not test this feature out because I never mix electronics with water-never have and never will) and when turned on will have a ring of multicolored lights around the top of the device. When the music is playing this will light up and flicker according to the beat. I did find that it doesn’t look like it goes along with the beat of the song. You are able to connect phone calls to the speaker and have a normal conversation. I was told that my voice sounded normal and there were no disturbances or cutting out when I spoke. The speaker has the microphone so if you are talking on the phone, have the speaker close by. The sound of the caller is clear and there was no cutting out or dropped calls. Now for the sound of the music. At a low volume, the bass is very noticeable and it sounds decent. It’s nothing spectacular or amazing but it sounds good. As you turn the volume up, the bass seems to lessen and the treble is more pronounced. So the louder it is the less bass it has. As I listened to the music at full volume, I didn’t feel comfortable that the speaker would be able to sustain that level of volume for an extended period of time. I could be wrong but it just didn’t sound right. When I connected the speaker to my phone and watched a video clip, I noticed a slight lag between the video and the sound. It’s not a huge difference but you can tell if you really pay attention. I noticed because I’m scrutinizing for the sake of the review. If you don’t care and you just want the speaker for music, then the speaker is not a bad choice. It’s a decent speaker, not the best but not the worst either. It gets the job done.
