    Portable Fun

For such a small speaker this versatile Bluetooth speaker has a lot to like. Combined with the Soundcore app and Party cast this speaker offers more options and outperforms most other speakers in its class. The new light ring in this Pro model adds another level of fun to Bluetooth portable speakers. Pros: - Good sound quality for a speaker this size. The speaker output is via the top so the sound is top heavy versus other speakers that are side or bottom firing. -Light Ring adds fun to the music - Soundcore App offers total control and flexibility. One of the better Bluetooth speaker apps out there. - Water proof and very portable with a carry strap - Ability to Party Cast to 100 other speakers and it does Party Cast to other Soundcore models - Good speaker phone and microphone audio quality Cons: - Buttons on the side are hard to find. The control buttons are rubberized black icons on a black background which makes it tough to find them intuitively or in low light. Speaker: The speaker looks and feels solid. It has some weight but its round sides makes it easy to grasp . It’s too big to fit in a jean’s pocket but drops easily into the cargo pockets on my cargo pants. I’ve carried it around the house while doing projects. Using this speaker I can keep my phone safely tucked away from the action and set out the speaker so I can enjoy an audible book or music while I work. Since its water proof its the go-to speaker for a beach or pool day. It’s a great solution for adding music to the patio when the kids want to dance. The speaker provides good sound dispersion and provides a fair amount of bass with the bass boost on for a speaker this size. Because the speaker is top firing these are great to set on a table or even on the ground. The controls are on the sides towards the bottom and it is the only issue I have with this speaker. The power, volume down, multifunction, volume up and Bluetooth buttons are rubberized mechanical buttons that have icons molded over the button. They are extremely difficult to locate in low lighting and not the easiest to find even though the power button does have a small led light next to it. The rubberized coating is good for water proofing but it makes it more difficult to locate the buttons. This can really a problem if you are using the speaker as a speaker phone because the multipurpose button is the answer button. The audio quality and microphone quality are quite good as a speaker phone. The advertised battery life is 15 hours but I think the actual number of hours depends on the user and the use of the light ring, The speaker has a light ring that really make this speaker stand out. There are multiple light functions in the app to choose from and you can actually pick the colors to use in the rings. I also have a Soundcore Flare 2 and its fairly easy to have it and this Mini 3 Pro party cast together playing the same music. Soundcore App: This has to be one of the best apps for portable speakers. Its simple to understand and it offers great control over the speaker and light ring. The app has three main pages; Equalizer, Home and Light settings. The home page allows you to power off the speaker, check the battery level, play or pause the music and set the volume. The equalizer page has four preset equalizer settings as well as a custom preset that lets you fully customize the equalizer. You can also turn on the bass boost which really does make an impact on the sound quality. The light page has 5 preset lighting patterns. Within some of the patterns you can choose which colors to use which makes the light rings totally customizable to your taste.

I am increasingly amazed by how good Anker Soundcore audio equipment is, the sound is amazing. This is a small speaker (about 3" tall) but packs a strong pounding bass. On my desk at work, I can literally feel the bass vibrate. It's a rich, quality speaker on on par with brands that have a long history and legacy in the audio space. Pairing is straight forward. It's Bluetooth. There's no forced push of the app, but I recommend the Soundcore app. It's free, doesn't require registration to use, has a great user experience, and you can control the lights, tune the equalizer, etc. I didn't feel any need to tune the sound, it's perfectly balanced for my tastes and playback via Spotify was awesome. Soundcore rate the speaker for 15 hours playback. I have got 2 work days out of it, background audio all day, so the 14 hours feels right. It's also USB C powered! wohoo! It's also IPX7 rated which means you can submerge it underwater for 30minutes. Or if you want a speaker to use in the bathroom to listen to podcasts etc. then this is for you. As for the lights. I actually don't mind them. The light pattern can be customized using the Soundcore app. The lights are nice. You can turn them off. I keep it as a solid breathing color, which just makes the speaker interesting on your desk. Definitely recommend. I have no hesitation in recommending Soundcore to anyone. It would be my first choice for audio these days.

    Big Sound Small Package

For starters, this thing is half the size of a standard water bottle and packs the punch of a speaker 3  times its size. It’s a bite-sized bundle of bass. Not only that, but it can be cranked to its highest volume and it won’t even distort the sound. There's a Bass-up feature that gives off a crisp hum to help you feel the music as it kicks you in your ear holes. Next, let’s talk about that water bottle that I spoke of earlier. You can pour that water into a glass of your choosing(amazing, I know) and drop the Mini 3 Pro inside and the music is still as crystal clear as that water. Yes. It is fully water resistant, with an IPX 7 rating. It’s straight up submergible. As you can see, from the image above. It does maintain the strap from the standard Mini 3, but it also added Soundcore’s signature Party Proof lights that will dazzle you with the bass driven lightshow. It’s really a delight to behold. The Mini 3 Pro is boxed with a 2 ft USB-C to A cable, no charging brick, but at this point, you should have tons of those things laying around, from old smartphones and what not. At least, that’s what everyone is banking on. No one really puts bricks in the box anymore. Who’s It For Basically, the Soundcore Mini 3 Pro is for anyone that listens to music from their smartphone(EVERYONE). Those that want to have tunes going as they work in the office or in the garage around the workbench or while gardening. It can be used while on hikes or driving your golf cart or gator. Basically anything with a cupholder. It can go with you in any weather. And with an approximately 15 hour battery, you won’t run out of juice anytime soon. It’s small. You may want something a lil’ bit bigger, if that’s your thing. I live in Texas and y’all know what they say. Everything’s bigger here and you may want your speakers to be the same way. Again, there’s charging brick, so you’ll need to accommodate that for yourself. And the final issue is the speaker can be used as a mic, while on phone calls. This can be a good or bad thing. Depending on where you are and who’s around you. You may not want to share your business with the whole room. The sound is really clear, just sayin’.   The Verdict The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro will run you  $39.99 USD and I personally think that’s a little high, for its size. But it is an upgrade from the last iteration. Can you get a cheaper speaker? Yes you can. You may even be able to find a better sounding speaker at this price, but I doubt that you’ll be able to link up to 100 of those busters together to crank the block. No, I don’t think you will, unless it says Soundcore. Anker has been doing that with their latest line of Party Proof speakers, and you know what? That’s pretty cool. The only caviaught is that you’ll need to have multiples of the same kind of speaker to get that explosive surround sound. If something changes, I’ll update this, but for now, this is where we stand.  I think this would make for a great gift for that coworker in the office that would rather hear the music from their phone, than finding a streaming site on the work computer. Or even that nice mail carrier on your block. Those mail trucks don’t have stereos.  With all of the pros and cons considered, I’m going to have to give the Soundcore Mini 3 Pro an average rating. I’d say spend the extra few bucks and get a Flare mini or something more beefy like the Rave Neo. I don't think I could recommend this one, even though it it did improve on the already good design.

    Amazing mini speaker

This is my second Anker Soundcore speaker, and I am amazed by this new Mini 3. The sound quality and the bass will blow you away from this small device. You can feel the bass, and astonishingly, sometimes it moves when the bass drops hard. It is tiny, just about four finders tall, the circumference is smaller than a soda can, and the overall size is ⅔ of a soda can. Simple esthetical design with all the basic buttons: power, minus/plus volume, Bluetooth, and the Soundcore play. It is a portable size and lightweight, fits perfectly in most places, like cup holders. It has a lanyard and using a carabiner, you can hang it anywhere. When working on my yard, I use a carabiner and clip the speaker to one of my pant’s belt loops. After a complete charge, it is a simple and instant connection/setup. I highly recommend using the Soundcore App for an enhanced experience and to perform a firmware update on the mini speaker. Using the app allows you to more control, like future firmware updates, customized sound and light, check battery level, adjust volume, and equalizer settings. What I like the most about the app is the LÜM music streaming service. LÜM is Soundcore’s official music streaming partner and is included with the app for free. It has a great selection of music from the various playlist; my favorite playlist is “House Party”. To conclude, this is quite loud and better on the bass than other small portable speakers. Great for jamming music anywhere you can play music, and with the water-resistance feature, you are free to do whatever you want to do with it.

Surprisingly great sound in a small size

    ## Design The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro is about the size of a cup of coffee. The dimensions are 2.8 x 2.8 x 3.6 inches. The buttons are located towards the bottom of the speaker and can be a little difficult to see as the symbols are black on a black background, so you may find yourself holding the speaker up to a light in order to find the power button. There is an LED light ring on the top of the speaker, along with a very convenient carrying strap that is permanently attached to the speaker. This makes it easy to carry the speaker with you or hang it to something like a hook or tree branch. The round design of the speaker allows you to enjoy your music from any angle. ## Sound Quality The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro sounds surprisingly good given the small size! The mids and highs come through best, but when the speaker is sitting near a wall, it really kicks up the bass and enhances the lows nicely. The bass also sounds good sitting on a table or other flat surface. The bass decreases a little bit when you're carrying the speaker or hanging it up, but music still sounds great. If you find that the bass is too strong when it is sitting up against a wall, you can turn off the "BassUp" feature with the Soundcore app. Obviously, it's not going to sound as good as a much larger speaker, but it's more than adequate for personal listening at home or for a small group of friends having dinner on the deck, for example. I'm still surprised that this speaker is only 6 watts! ## Features - Carrying strap: I owned the original Soundcore Mini 1 speaker and bought a case for it that had a carrying strap so I could hang it from my backpack while hiking. I'm happy to see that the Soundcore Mini Pro 3 has a built-in carrying strap, so no additional accessory is needed to hang it! - Lighting modes: There are several lighting modes for the two LED light rings: Party Time, Phasing Beats, Bouncing Beats, Circle Beam, and Cool Breath. The lighting modes can be changed by using the Soundcore app. The app also gives you some additional options for the built-in animations, which are mainly just selecting different color options. You can also turn off the lights by quickly tapping the power button. - PartyCast: You can link this speaker up to 100 other Soundcore speakers with "PartyCast" technology, which is mainly limited to Soundcore's newer speakers. Please note that this is not True Wireless Stereo sound as all of the linked speakers will play the same thing (not one specific audio channel). To use PartyCast with other Soundcore PartyCast enable speakers: 1. First, pair one speaker to your phone as normal and leave it on and connected. This will be your "primary" speaker. 2. On this primary speaker, hold down the Bluetooth button for at least 2 seconds, until you hear two tones that sound like an echo. 3. Power on one of your "extra" Soundcore speakers. Hold down the Bluetooth button on it for 2 second until you hear the same two tones that sound like an echo. 4. On the "extra" speaker, DOUBLE TAP the Bluetooth button (don't hold it down this time). The extra speaker will then connect to your primary speaker and when you play music to the primary, you should hear it on the secondary speaker. - Water resistant: The Soundcore Mini Pro 3 has an IPX7 rating, which means it can be submerged in water (up to 3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes, so it's safe to use pool-side. ## Battery Life The Mini Pro 3 can last up to 15 hours on a single charge with the lights off. The speaker can be recharged with a USB-C cable (which is included) and a powered USB port or charger (not included). ## Summary The Soundcore Mini 3 Pro is a great speaker with surprisingly good sound and bass, and a cool LED light ring. It is water resistant, has long battery life, and can be wirelessly connected with additional PartyCast speakers.

The Anker Souncore Mini 3 Pro is a dynamic sounding speaker, and fun little device to carry around. I was extremely impressed by a deep bass sound. The speaker vibrated in my hand as I played music which was a good surprise. Furthermore, my customizations to the sound through the Soundcore app immediately reflected in the speaker as I made my selections. The RGB lights are dazzling and sure to be a hit at any function. Setup was easy and execution was flawless. The waterproof functionality worked well, and the product has a lengthy battery life. I have no complaints. I was very satisfied with how this product performed.

This is a great little speaker for the price. I bought to use outside and in the garage due to its dust resistance and being essentially water proof. It also has a great battery life!Very easy to pair and operate and it works well with the Soundcore app. The light on top is a fun little extra feature. Unexpectedly good bass for the speaker size and overall sound quality is excellent and can be adjusted in the app equalizer. The speaker is upward firing and seems to keep the music contained to the area without bothering neighbors but it does seem to diminish the bass depth further away from it. I do wish the onboard control buttons were more raised so they were easier to feel and differentiate. Overall, I love this little speaker and it's been great to use for the first month or so I've had it.

Wow! Replaced an old pair of two Bluetooth speakers with one Soundcore Mini 3 Pro from Anker. The box is right when it says "Size defying sound". 6 watts sounds like much more. Lots of features for such a compact device. BassUp Technology so you can pump up the bass or let the in-house tuned digital signal processor analyze and adjust it, Beat Driven Light Show with 5 settings and Customizable EQ that are controlled in the Soundcore app on your iPhone. Lights can be turned off in the app but why would you want to ? Fully waterproof casing to protect internal components from liquids. Side of the box shows speaker in water but I wouldn't want to risk it. Up to 15 hours playtime on a single charge with the included USB-C cable. Claims to be able to link 100+ speakers which would require a very large space due to the big sound from the little speaker. I tried connecting to my laptop to watch a concert on Netflix and the sound was much fuller and detailed than if I just played using internal laptop speakers. You can also use the Mini 3 Pro as a speakerphone! Carry strap on the back allows you to hang up the speaker. The only real drawback was the set up. No real instructions as with most electronics. Textured symbols on the base of speaker and power light and Bluetooth pairing light. You really need to add the Soundcore app to update firmware and control the lights. App also has lots of generic music that you can play to test various setup functions. Download the manual (first 7 pages are in English) since the inserts are just the kind with pictures that make you guess at what does what. Tech support is only Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Pacific time or via email. Unfortunately, the speaker pauses playing music if you use the video camera on your iPhone so party videos will need to be taken with another device. Apple said there is no setting to change on the camera or Bluetooth app to keep the music playing. Super impressive speaker with fun light show. I may end up adding more.

Anker has some great tech and is always releasing innovative tech products. This Anker Soundcore Mini 3 Bluetooth Speaker has amazing sound and features and is part of Anker’s new speaker lineup for this Spring and Summer. After using it for a couple of days, I have been amazed at how much sound this mini speaker packs. The bass is stunning, and the overall sound is rich and clear. The speaker is easily portable and can be taken pretty much anywhere. For the size, the Soundcore Mini 3 does pack remarkable sound. The Anker Soundcore Mini 3 uses only Bluetooth for connection. I have yet to experience any random disconnections. I get some occasional lag but overall, the connection is stable. This speaker is also IPX7 waterproof so the speaker should be protected from any drink spills or accidental drops into a pool. What I also like about the speaker is the ability to link to other Soundcore speakers for an even more immersive sound. I will be definitely getting more Soundcore Mini’s for my household! The speaker also contains a whopping 15-hour playtime which ended up lasting me a couple of days before I needed to charge up the speaker again. The speaker does use USB-C which was an excellent choice on Anker’s part. Now I won’t have to furiously go looking for a different cable when I need to charge it. The speaker is customizable using the Soundcore App which I highly recommend you download. The app is simple to use and contains a neat user interface. The speaker does contain RGB lighting effects that are customizable through the app. The app also allows one to have access to the EQ settings, new firmware updates, battery level, and more. Overall, I have enjoyed using this speaker. Don’t let the size of the speaker fool you because it truly does pack some deep bass and rich sound. Portability is great as well, the size of the speaker allows it to be easily carried in a bag. Some of the most notable features are the IPX7 rating, 15-hour playtime, and amazing lighting effects. I don’t have anything negative to say about the mini 3 and do recommend you try it out if you are in the market looking for a portable speaker.

This little speaker is amazing. While I didn't expect audiophile quality, deep booming bass, or concert hall filling sound, this little speaker really does an amazing job. It can get surprisingly loud, while still maintaining clarity. For such a small speaker, the bass is astonishingly good. The highs can get a bit scratchy, especially at higher volumes. Great for backyard get togethers, integrating with an established Bluetooth home speaker system, kitchen music, and camping. The waterproofing makes it great for the outdoors, canoe trips, river/beach/lake days and backyard cookouts. The LED on top gives you a mini light show, nice for patio parties. While I wasn't able to test the feature, Anker claims that you can link to other Soundcore speakers for multi speaker playback. The soundcore app for the EQ is easy to use, and connects seamlessly. The attached carry strap makes it convenient to hang somewhere, tree branch, pole, plant hook. Get these as gifts for your friends/family and link them together at your next gathering. Battery life for me was excellent. The claim is 15 hours. So far for me in 3 long running tests streaming from pandora I got 14 hours 37 mins, 16 hours 1 minute and 15 hours 54 minutes. YMMV.

Small speaker with big sound. The Mini 3 Pro is small but has a rich full sound speaker Sound This little speaker puts out a strong, rich sound! I played a number of different styles of music on it and was impressed with the results. Not only are lyrics strong and clear but bass lines really come through too! It has great volume and bass for the size. Design This speaker is small and light-weight!!! It's very easy for me to take it anywhere because of that and the small loop/lanyard that's attached. It's also completely water-proof so there are no worries when taking it to the pool. The bottom of the side has the buttons on it. They're the same color and material as the rest of the speaker but they stick out so you can feel them. There's a power button, volume up/down, an action button that you can use to active the assistant on your phone, and a Bluetooth button. There are also a series of 12 LED lights around the top that really just form a band of color. It can be the same color or different colors. A quick press of the power button will turn the colors off if you don't want them but you can do a lot more with the colors using the SoundCore app. It uses a USB-C port to charge, which I'm a fan of since I've got a number of USB-C devices. It does not have an 1/8" stereo in jack so the only way to connect to it is by Bluetooth but that's usually what I use anyway. It supports Bluetooth 5 so that's good! There's a rubber door that goes over the USB-C port to protect it from water. It also has a very grippy rubber bottom. SoundCore App The SoundCore app is an easy to use way to control the functions of your speaker. It will let you change the EQs and volume but the most interesting thing is the light control. It comes with a handful of different light effects such as Party Time, Bouncing Beats, and Cool Breath. You can also edit the effects by changing and selecting colors. I liked the multi color mode that was the default but like it even more when I customized the effects, changed the effect, and made it a single color. The SoundCore app also checks for new firmware for the speaker and updates it. The app is also needed to update the firmware of the speaker. The app makes that easy, letting you know when there's an update.

This is the best small speaker I have listened to! I'm not sure what the Bass Up feature is in this speaker but when turned on it sounds great. I really didn't expect to feel the speaker move as music plays. Holding the speaker in my hand as it plays, it feels like a large magnet moving a large cone. This speaker gets loud enough to fill my den without distortion. This speaker has a light ring around the top speaker that provides a light show to the beat of the music. There are several different light show patterns that can be chosen in the app. The color spectrum can be controlled too. The app provides an EQ with custom settings and presets available. There are a number of playlist buttons in the app with various music style options. I haven't found a path from the app to the music on my phone but if I play music from my phone it automatically comes through the speaker. This speaker is great on phone calls, it's water proof, is rated for 15 hours listening time, you can join 100 + of these together at a party and it can connect to 2 sources at once (playing one at a time). If your packing light, there is a lot of fun in this little package.

Puts Similar Sized Speakers To Shame

Setup couldn’t be easier. It took less than 15 seconds to be up and running. No kidding. It took longer to download the app but by then I was already enjoying music connect through my iPhone. There was enough charge for a few hours and the included USB-C cable can be used to fully charge it for a promised 15 hours, which I couldn’t confirm. While it won’t blow up your ceiling, the Anker Soundcore Mini 3 Pro will surprise many with a performance that is much bigger than its size. Being very picky when it comes to audio system, I never expect much from such tiny speakers and I am mostly right. In this case, though, I am glad to say that it sounds much better than a similar sized popular smart speaker with Alexa. Bass is good, not perfect but I definitely wouldn't set my expectations too high for such a compact device. It is waterproof, which you can’t say about that popular speaker. Just strap it to your swimming suite – although I wouldn’t recommend listening to it under water – and forget about it being damaged as long as you don’t go deeper than 3 feet. One interesting feature is the PartyCast, which allows you to connect multiple Soundcore speakers for a more immersive experience if you have another one around. And by immersive, I don’t mean stereo or surround in the real sense. Still, it brings some extra fun. Working at my backyard today, I had it running for over 7 hours without a glitch even while I was moving away from it. Just used it again to make a phone call and it sounded really good at both ends. Still playing with the Soundcore app, which can control bass for instance. After, finding the best setting for me, I probably won’t use it much, except for checking eventual firmware updates. Not saying that it isn’t worth it but I couldn’t find much use for it. Even though it is mostly noticeable in dark environments, the Lightshow is fun too. My five-star rating is just because it far exceeded my expectation, especially at this size and price range. For an extremely portable speaker, it couldn’t be much better than this. If you need something that will really impress your ears with crisper sound, then you’d probably need to go with a bigger system and spend considerably more. But again, it is worth the price.

First I want to thank Anker for creating premium speakers without the premium price. I absolutely love my new Soundcore Mini 3's. I have the mini 1 and the mini 2's. These just simply sound better and more full and rich. The bass is clearly more noticable and the app really lets you customize the sound to your liking. They're good looking speakers and very small especially considering the sound they provide. Truly amazing speakers especially for the price. Three things to keep in mind. These have Partycast mode meaning you can connect them via bluetooth to another speaker however they are not TWS as far as I can tell meaning they don't play in true stereo sound. I don't mind it at all but some might. They also have no aux port like the mini 1's and 2's do. Again, doesn't affect me. Last they have no sd micro slot like the mini 1 has. I highly recommend these!

If you are looking for a small portable speaker that has very good sound, the Soundcore Mini may just be what you are looking for. This is not a room filling sound blaster, but for a small office, cubicle, or small room this is the ticket. It is waterproof, has a USB-C charging cable, Party Cast, and lights up. I don’t really use the Partycast, and the lighting is nice, but for e the sound quality is what counts. First off, this is not a loud blasting speaker, but it does have very good sound quality for such a small package. The highs are crisp, the mids are clear, and the bass is surprisingly good. I would recommend this as a small space personal speaker that will give you surprisingly good quality sound.

This little thing is awesome. I can't believe how loud it gets. It has great clarity and surprisingly good bass. I love that it is waterproof. I use it in the shower all the time. Showers are fun now. LOL. The lights on it are very cool. Battery life is great. It's a great all around speaker that can be used pretty much anywhere. Good job Anker!
