Portable Fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For such a small speaker this versatile Bluetooth speaker has a lot to like. Combined with the Soundcore app and Party cast this speaker offers more options and outperforms most other speakers in its class. The new light ring in this Pro model adds another level of fun to Bluetooth portable speakers. Pros: - Good sound quality for a speaker this size. The speaker output is via the top so the sound is top heavy versus other speakers that are side or bottom firing. -Light Ring adds fun to the music - Soundcore App offers total control and flexibility. One of the better Bluetooth speaker apps out there. - Water proof and very portable with a carry strap - Ability to Party Cast to 100 other speakers and it does Party Cast to other Soundcore models - Good speaker phone and microphone audio quality Cons: - Buttons on the side are hard to find. The control buttons are rubberized black icons on a black background which makes it tough to find them intuitively or in low light. Speaker: The speaker looks and feels solid. It has some weight but its round sides makes it easy to grasp . It’s too big to fit in a jean’s pocket but drops easily into the cargo pockets on my cargo pants. I’ve carried it around the house while doing projects. Using this speaker I can keep my phone safely tucked away from the action and set out the speaker so I can enjoy an audible book or music while I work. Since its water proof its the go-to speaker for a beach or pool day. It’s a great solution for adding music to the patio when the kids want to dance. The speaker provides good sound dispersion and provides a fair amount of bass with the bass boost on for a speaker this size. Because the speaker is top firing these are great to set on a table or even on the ground. The controls are on the sides towards the bottom and it is the only issue I have with this speaker. The power, volume down, multifunction, volume up and Bluetooth buttons are rubberized mechanical buttons that have icons molded over the button. They are extremely difficult to locate in low lighting and not the easiest to find even though the power button does have a small led light next to it. The rubberized coating is good for water proofing but it makes it more difficult to locate the buttons. This can really a problem if you are using the speaker as a speaker phone because the multipurpose button is the answer button. The audio quality and microphone quality are quite good as a speaker phone. The advertised battery life is 15 hours but I think the actual number of hours depends on the user and the use of the light ring, The speaker has a light ring that really make this speaker stand out. There are multiple light functions in the app to choose from and you can actually pick the colors to use in the rings. I also have a Soundcore Flare 2 and its fairly easy to have it and this Mini 3 Pro party cast together playing the same music. Soundcore App: This has to be one of the best apps for portable speakers. Its simple to understand and it offers great control over the speaker and light ring. The app has three main pages; Equalizer, Home and Light settings. The home page allows you to power off the speaker, check the battery level, play or pause the music and set the volume. The equalizer page has four preset equalizer settings as well as a custom preset that lets you fully customize the equalizer. You can also turn on the bass boost which really does make an impact on the sound quality. The light page has 5 preset lighting patterns. Within some of the patterns you can choose which colors to use which makes the light rings totally customizable to your taste.

Great sound, itty bitty speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t think of any other portable Bluetooth speaker that comes anywhere near this little guy. I have a few Bluetooth speakers around my home, and some smart speakers as well. My portable speakers aren’t quite this small, which is what drew me to picking one of these up. I was blown away from the moment I started playing music on it. My initial impression when I took this speaker out of the box was, “Wow! This thing is tiny!” My second thought was "man it has some heft to it." This speaker has amazing build quality. It looks great, and the bottom third is covered in rubber. This is the area that has the controls and the charging port. Buttons are hard to see, but after a while, they are easy to feel out by touch. You can easily change volume, control music (play/pause, skip, etc.), and initialize Smart Assistant. There is also a way to connect up to 100 of these speakers together in what they call PartyCast Mode, but sadly I only have one at this time. I’m sure connecting 100 at once would be awesome! Where I was really blown away was when I started playing music. I really was not expecting how loud and rich the sound was from something so small. Again, I have Alexa Dots, HomePod Minis, and Google Home speakers around the house, so I was guessing the sound would be comparable to those since they were around the same size. This tiny speaker sounds so much better. You can adjust the EQ to different modes. You get 4 different preset modes, but you can also customize your EQ by toggling 9 different sound ranges. I left it on the default, Soundcore Signature, mode and think that sounds fantastic. I had thought I would just use this little speaker when I left the house and at work, but I have ended up just carrying it around the house as well. I prefer using this over any of my smart home speakers. I love the sound that comes out of this device. This is such an easy recommendation to anyone looking for an ultraportable speaker. Build quality is fantastic, IPX7 water proofing so you can use outside and by the pool, the sound is amazing and can be tweaked for your specific listening style. All of this paired up with a USB-C charging port, 15 hour long battery life, and a cost that is a fraction of most off the market, makes this speaker the one to beat in this category.

Versatile and powerful little speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little speaker is great. Its quite loud and sounds really clear. Nice compact size fits into cupholders nicely, so if you're on the water in a kayak or other boat, you can have your speaker secured The app is really cool because you can control the equalizer, light patterns, etc. I think the best part about this speaker is the versatility of the Soundcore line.. you can link up more speakers than you'd ever need even if they're different variations. In my case i have this mini pro 3 and the flare 2. i can set one up as the primary and the other as my secondary. If i pick up more of either kind, i can also add them to the chain to have music scattered throughout my area. super handy if you're boating in a pack, everyone can have a speaker and one person controlling the music. This is a feature lacking on other brands, many which require you to have the exact same model.

Small, waterproof speaker with great sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small speaker with big sound. The Mini 3 Pro is small but has a rich full sound speaker Sound This little speaker puts out a strong, rich sound! I played a number of different styles of music on it and was impressed with the results. Not only are lyrics strong and clear but bass lines really come through too! It has great volume and bass for the size. Design This speaker is small and light-weight!!! It's very easy for me to take it anywhere because of that and the small loop/lanyard that's attached. It's also completely water-proof so there are no worries when taking it to the pool. The bottom of the side has the buttons on it. They're the same color and material as the rest of the speaker but they stick out so you can feel them. There's a power button, volume up/down, an action button that you can use to active the assistant on your phone, and a Bluetooth button. There are also a series of 12 LED lights around the top that really just form a band of color. It can be the same color or different colors. A quick press of the power button will turn the colors off if you don't want them but you can do a lot more with the colors using the SoundCore app. It uses a USB-C port to charge, which I'm a fan of since I've got a number of USB-C devices. It does not have an 1/8" stereo in jack so the only way to connect to it is by Bluetooth but that's usually what I use anyway. It supports Bluetooth 5 so that's good! There's a rubber door that goes over the USB-C port to protect it from water. It also has a very grippy rubber bottom. SoundCore App The SoundCore app is an easy to use way to control the functions of your speaker. It will let you change the EQs and volume but the most interesting thing is the light control. It comes with a handful of different light effects such as Party Time, Bouncing Beats, and Cool Breath. You can also edit the effects by changing and selecting colors. I liked the multi color mode that was the default but like it even more when I customized the effects, changed the effect, and made it a single color. The SoundCore app also checks for new firmware for the speaker and updates it. The app is also needed to update the firmware of the speaker. The app makes that easy, letting you know when there's an update.

Adorable and Powerful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS - Great sound for such a small speaker - Durable build quality - USB-C charging - My kids love the RGB lighting - Water resistant CONS - The rubber bottom collects dirt/pebbles like it’s its job == SETUP == Pairing the Soundcore Mini with your phone is super easy. You just need to hold the power button for a few seconds to power it on AND put it into pairing mode. Anker also has an app you can install on your phone, which assists in pairing, but it’s best used to give you more control over the Mini and keep it updated. == SOUND QUALITY == The Mini is smaller than a can of soda, so keep your expectations in check. However, for such a small speaker, the audio quality and volume is quite impressive. I think rock/pop sounds the best on this speaker, but you may disagree. This is a fun little speaker to bring along on a picnic, to keep around while BBQing, or while hanging out on the patio. == DURABILITY == I haven’t put the Soundcore Mini through any “torture” tests, but it has been dropped from waist height a few times already, with NO damage seen/heard yet. It does have a water resistant rating, so it should be fine if caught in the rain or sprinkler, but I would still avoid dropping it near the pool if you can. == BOTTOM LINE == It’s small size, durable build, good audio quality, and RGB lighting makes this my kids favorite speaker to run around with while they’re playing outside. I like to use it while relaxing on the patio or when using the grill. It may be small, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised with how good it sounds for its size.

Fantastic sound, super small, excellent battery!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I want to thank Anker for creating premium speakers without the premium price. I absolutely love my new Soundcore Mini 3's. I have the mini 1 and the mini 2's. These just simply sound better and more full and rich. The bass is clearly more noticable and the app really lets you customize the sound to your liking. They're good looking speakers and very small especially considering the sound they provide. Truly amazing speakers especially for the price. Three things to keep in mind. These have Partycast mode meaning you can connect them via bluetooth to another speaker however they are not TWS as far as I can tell meaning they don't play in true stereo sound. I don't mind it at all but some might. They also have no aux port like the mini 1's and 2's do. Again, doesn't affect me. Last they have no sd micro slot like the mini 1 has. I highly recommend these!

Compact, Great Sound, Fun Lights
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The box says “size defying” and I have to say, it’s not lying. This compact little speaker pumps out a lot of great sound, better than you’d probably expect from something this small. Pairing the Soundcore Mini 3 to my phone was simple, and the Soundcore app makes it easy to choose equalizer settings and change up (or disable) the multicolor light effects. The design is simple, with a few controls (power, volume, play/pause, and Bluetooth pairing) near the bottom edge and a small cloth loop that can be used as a carry handle or to clip the speaker to something else. The speaker is waterproof, and there is a solid feeling rubber cover for the charging port to keep it from getting wet. Overall, this is a great little speaker. Easy to take somewhere on the go, sounds fantastic, and my kiddo loves the light effects.

This little speaker sounds great for the size!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker is great for the size. It paired very quickly with my phone and turning it on after a music session is quickly started. The sounds is great and you can download the app Soundcore and are able to adjust the EQ. On top of the speaker there are lights that light up based on the sound if you enjoy that. Also there is a little carry handle or ring at the top which you can hook to something if you are mobile. The base has a sticky base which makes it stick to the surface a little so it won't vibrate and move. I enjoy Anker products and this one didn't disappoint at the least.

Works fine
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent sound. Easy connection. Portable size, but won’t fit in your pocket. It’s a basic Bluetooth portable speaker. I don’t see anything special about it. The lights are happy.
