I bought these over a year ago and had the GeekSquad install them, as I didn't want to risk messing up my ceiling on my own. I have a small living room (lengthwise) and didn't want to deal with speaker stands for my rears. I was a bit leery about using an in-celing speaker but after listening to them in the demo room i figured i try them out. Besides, the wife fell in love with the idea of not having the rears on stands. The sound is terrific! VERY wide soundstage and crystal clear even at reference level. The wide/ambient and treble switches ensure you can dial them in to whatever your preference is. I use these as my rear speakers, mostly for movies and the huge rear soundstage they create is impressive. I recommend these to anyone wanting a wide rear listening stage but wanting or being limited to in-ceiling/wall speakers. I must say that the guys from GeekSquad did a great job installing them as well! I was impressed with how quickly and CLEANLY they worked. They pretty much sealed themselves in with plastic tarp to prevent any ceiling dust and insulation from spreading around my living room, and vacuumed up afterwards which was very much appreciated.

Love the wides as part of my 5.1 setup and as just a pair in our pool house. Background sounds from surround sound is amazing and lifelike. They project sounds that sometimes we think are coming from outside the house. Went to check back rooms and doors a couple of times as we thought we had left something on or someone was knocking.

Love the look, the sound and the price! I would definitely recommend these speakers to a friends!!

speakercraft brand, is there more to say? they give a very wide, albiet, generated field of sound. for rear channels they match well to my R,C,L Speakercraft AIM 7's.
